Evening y'all! Had a busy afternoon running around and stuff. The rain stopped for a while and I was glad to finish my errands in the sun. I have all the stamps I need for my cards and got my international cards out today as well.

Shhhh.... no "S" word please I think we might see that on Sat though

Tina, we got our tree out tonight. I haven't "fluffed" it yet, so I will do that tomorrow and begin to decorate. Those who know me well know how anal I am about that kind of thing

Paula, I will keep your co-worker in my prayers. How awful to do that and right before the holidays

Sherry, hope that Junior feels better soon. My friend Marc just got over a throat infection. He said his wasn't much fun at all, but fortunately not contagious. Hope you don't catch anything from your SIL or nephew though.

Had a horrible night. I had the worst stomach ache. Still kinda hurts this morning. I don't know if its something I ate or what.

Elaine, glad you got your stamps and your tree up. We have rain today. We only had some sprinkles yesterday. "S" word is predicted for the weekend, though.

Sherry, we have really horrid weather coming our way. It is still supposed to be warm today, but tomorrow we will have high winds with rain turning to snow. Doesn't sound good at all!

Paula, that is sad for your co-worker for sure. Prayers that things improve and quick.

New car saga...DH gets a call from the dealer yesterday that we need to come back ASAP b/c there is a problem with the paperwork and we need to bring $500 more! THEY made a mistake and offered us a $500 rebate that was not authorized. Hmmm, I did not find "ASAP" convenient yesterday since I was at work when he called me having a rough work day and he was at work scheduled for a long day at his place too. So, I have a car; I have a signed loan agreement; they have our trade-in; we are going tonight. I am not interested in paying extra money...sounds like the old "switcheroo" bait and switch to me. For the $$$ they want (they boast that they are the biggest Cobalt dealer in the U.S (not just the area), I think they can come up with something. I cannot believe that I am taking everything out of the car I started to make "mine," going to spend extra gas $ since they are clear across town from where we are, and give them hours of our time over an error they made for $500. I am planning on telling them they can have the car, return our the trade-in and I will drive that back and forth to work until I decide to do something else. If they want to call off the deal for this, so be it. We have a dealer that is 2 miles (walking distance for me) and only went across town b/c DH does business with them from work. It just doesn't sound right.

Good Morning all! Yucky morning here today also. *&^# people do NOT know how to drive when the streets are wet. Would hate to see how they do if we got any of that "s" stuff. Hey, did ya'll hear there was some "s" stuff spotted in Orlando over the weekend? Funny but, true. Saw it in the newspaper last weekend.

I had a meeting at work this morning - HVAC training.... .... of course took longfer than expected. Went to Target and bought shampoo and cat food. Just finished itdyig the house - going to run out and see if I can get a quick hair trim....wish me luck....

Yuck on sniffles and insane car dealers. Yay for tree fluffing and card preparing and all that stuff that some of y'all are doing that I have not started.

It is supposed to be 78 here today and 52 tomorrow. Yeah, I know that doesn't sound cold to y'all, but I did want you to know that we are included in the same front moving through that you are expecting.

but, back to the weather.......we're pretty much the same as you! today, then tomorrow, and come the weekend and repeat.

so, how about that other dept who hid there cake over here didn't even offer us any???

Hi y'all! Been a busy little girl. Tree is fluffed and has the beading on it. The table I set up is mostly done and got a fair amount done in the kitchen. Have choir practice tonight so I will get more done on the tree tomorrow.

Lily, that is absolutely horrid what they are trying to do! I would have told them over the phone that they were NOT getting that money. If they insisted I would give that car back. I'd also tell the news... only because there was a dealer near by that pulled shady things like that and then would magically have the trade in car disappear after a day or two at most.

S stuff in Orlando I don't think it was quite that cold this past weekend even here!!!

Howdy!

I was a total slug yesterday and didn't do anything on the day off that I wanted to, except go to the mall to get some exchanges done. Went into NY&Co with Ed and the two terrors-oy! The upside of that is that Ed noticed that they had some dressy dresses, so now I have a dress for that wedding we're attending in three weeks.

From the "Suzanne is dumb files":
Former coworker from Disney stores is in my cell phone as 'Don't answer' because she's such a pain in the you know where. Why you ask? Because otherwise I don't recognize the phone number coming from an area code where there are two DISers and two relatives that call me and I answer the phone!
Well, I go to return a call to my friend Donna Monday night and hit contacts without looking at the phone, put in DO and hit send. Uh oh, I've called the exact person who calls me on a regular basis to go back to working at Disney and I DON'T WANT TO TALK TO HER. (if you want the reasons why, PM me -It's Looooonnnnnngggg). Sooo, since then, said former coworker has called me several times, leaving messages that my phone must have cut out because she didn't get a message. Argggghhhhhhhhhhh! I really don't want her to find out where I'm working now, since she's relocating to the area.

AA, I am worried about Greg, too. I freely cop to the Wiggles on my iPod-it's for me. They got some of my favorite acts from the 80's to record with them. We're getting lots of mileage out of nekkid gator guy around here.

So, I invited all my former coworkers over for Saturday snacks and cocktails-finally got the call five minutes ago that they're all coming!! When I hadn't heard, I didn't bother doing the thorough cleaning I'd planned. The house is in pretty good shape from Thanksgiving, though. Guess I better clean the office tomorrow-I think Ed and one of the hubbies will end up talking guitars and home recording, and they'll hole up in there. I now will be scarce until Sunday. For a good reason.

And work is going awesome! It's a wild and crazy bunch, sarcasm reigns, and it reminds me an awful lot of this bunch. That's darn good for a work situation, IMO. I haven't even answered the phone with the old place greeting, either.

Watching that weather map--you mid-westerners are really in for a spate of nasty weather!! We've been enjoying upper 60s for the highs here, this week. But, we too, are expecting things to sour quickly tomorrow although we won't be seeing any of the dreaded white stuff. They've already issued a High Wind warning for the morning and we will be well soaked by evening. Sending out lots of prayers and PD to all who will be affected by whatever form of weather this storm system brings your way.

Lily, can't wait to hear what transpired with the car dealer tonight! What a crock to demand you return "ASAP" with yet more $$!! Hope things get worked out and Sweet Potato remains with you. I've seen the Cobalt around town here and think it's a very nice little car.

Glad the tummy settled down, Sherry. Hope you'll be able to avoid picking up any of the germies floating around this time of year. Keep sippin' that OJ! Oh, and I'm with ya on the shopping--not a single gift purchased yet.

How goes the tree fluffing, Elaine? Dave got ours up and started the decorating. I forgot I was supposed to be decorating tonight and worked on Christmas cards instead. Oh well, there's always tomorrow, right?

Whoo-hooo! Paula got her hairs prettified! I need a trim pretty badly, myself. Glad to hear you managed a stop at Target--although, I wish I'd known earlier, I'd have given you my list.

Rose Mary, I can't believe the nerve of those folks! Hiding a cake in YOUR office and not even offering to share it with you!! I think you should make sure they aren't invited to the next party in YOUR department.
