Marathon Weekend 2026

SAFD: Other than the Tike Room take (I still enjoy it), I agree with most of what's been said. The one I don't think I've seen that I think needs to be changed is Hall of Presidents. Love the air conditioning, but when that's the best thing I can say about it, then it's time for an update. With the River Boat going away, I actually wonder if it's not time to retheme all of Liberty Square. I don't want to copy Disneyland, but changing it to something more like New Orleans Square themeing might make for a better transition to the Haunted Mansion and the gateway to Villains Land (but admittedly would make Tianna's seem more out of place).

Childhood me would love to see the 20,000 Leagues return, but in a way less cheezy form. It looked so cool on TV when WW of Disney came on, and was so disappointing in person when I finally visited WDW as a teen.
This makes me think of a ride at Tokyo DisneySea called Journey to the Center of the Earth. It starts out as a dark ride and then takes a very cool turn! I'd love to see them bring this to WDW.

The first time I experienced it, I was terrified! I grew to love it and wish my DH had gotten to experience it, he’s incredibly jumpy 😂
That was part of the fun for us... find a nervous adult going in and position ourselves near them when we got seated in the final room. It's a bit dark, I know, but always hilarious.

SAFD: At MK, I wish they would update the Peoplemover displays. I love riding (sleeping on) Peoplemover, but the displays are dated. For Space Mountain, change the cars to the Disneyland version. Such a smoother ride and the music makes the ride that much better. I like the Tomorrowland Speedway and the gas cars (nostalgia of my Disneyland Autopia days), but the theming needs to be better.

For Epcot, I think they had an opportunity to turn Test Track into a really cool attraction, same type of testing theme but with a better story line. In keeping with the same style as Radiator Springs Racers in DL, they could turned Test Track into the Lightning McQueen training facility out of Cars 3.
