Grocery question

We are heading to BWV in March, and I have some questions about ordering groceries. I know I have seen information on how to do it on this site before, but nothing recently. Has anyone used it before? Is it worth it? With our little one coming along, I'd love to not lug a ton of diapers with us. Any help would be great.
32 days

The grocery service (for which you can get forms on the DVC official website) worked fine for us -- faxed it in 4 days before, groceries were delivered to room in evening of day of arrival; we were gone at the time and they put perishables in the refrig. Note though that we used it only for stuff we needed the first night and next day, after that we went to an off-site store. The service at the resort is at basically the same prices Disney charges at its on-site stores (plus an additional for the service and delivery) and those prices are all very high. Thus, if you can get to a grocery store, I would not recommend it for all of your supplies for the stay

bring diapers & wipies if you can. We stayed at the cabins in FT. Wilderness and figuring i could save space would buy my wipies there! UGH! they are a fortune on site. Generic Brand and you get about 14 to a paper pack! And the price was about $3.00 (or round about)

We always use Netgrocer.com
They ship it right to the resort , they have a table on when to order for what day delivery.
We have done this a dozen or so times and the only problem was at BWV it took some time for them to find it. At OKW (our home) it was always there at check in.
It works great for diapers, baby wipes, cereal, powdered Ice tea Mix,Pop Tarts, canned soup, Mac & cheese etc.
They prices are usually better to not that much more than your local supermarket. Web sites such as cool savings.com usually coupons like $10 off a $75 order

You can view the actual list on the official DVC site. We used it for a few items in December and it was a great service but the prices are high. We went to Publix as was recommended several times on the site for the majority of what we needed. It is only a few miles away. We didn't have any kids with us so we didn't pay attention to diaper prices.

We have gone off site to get grocerys as we have three teeens to feed. If you are flying in and renting a car you can ask for dirc. to publex or if you hacve a car service pock you up (Tiffiny's) they will stop for a half hour grocery run. Prices and varity are same as home more or less.

sorry for the typo's am working in the dark as the kids are watching a movie will try to do better

Someone posted that Disney was now charging a substantial amount of money for accepting package deliveries, Has anyone verified this?

I sent myself a package full of food and received it at OKW on 2/18. There was no charge for the UPS delivery, and the CM's I spoke to said DVC members are not charged for package delivery.

DizMare, how did you manage to ship a package without paying UPS charges?

Hee-hee. I DID have to pay UPS shipping, but there was no fee charged by OKW for them accepting and holding the package for my arrival. :)
