Thanks!
Were there lots of taxis? How long was the line to get one?
There were several taxis lined up, and more arriving as mine pulled out. Since we were starting to get off an hour prior to the posted time in the app, there may have been more taxis waiting as the morning progressed but I don’t know since I was already out of there.
And since I was off quickly there was no line and zero wait. I had an 1130 flight, Disney recommends no earlier than 1230 or 1pm, so I wanted to be sure I wouldn’t be waiting & would be on my way as soon as possible. So I opted to skip breakfast in both the dining room and cabanas; I’d gotten a yogurt, a banana, and a croissant or roll the morning before and had them in my cabin, so I could have a quick breakfast before leaving. I was in the atrium at 0615, third in line in my line. There were maybe 50 or 60 people total waiting in the lines when the first walkoffs were able to start, so that all helped with having no lines for taxis. Everyone in that first wave who wanted a taxi was getting one as soon as soon as they walked up to the taxi area.
There was a gentleman helping with the taxi assignments, as in he’d ask how many in the party and how much luggage, so smaller parties got a smaller taxi while larger parties got a van, which I thought was nice for all. He’d wave up your taxi, luggage got loaded and then on the way. One thing- the taxi driver asked if we needed to go to terminal 1 or 2. My airline app had that info, so I could be dropped at the correct terminal.
If you first board in Barcelona, ie not a back to back with the transatlantic, there is no customs or immigration when debarking since you’re already in Spain from your airport arrival and will exit Spain at the airport. So it is a quick walk through the terminal to exit as you don’t need to stop for passport control. There will be three choices/ ways to go for transportation - Disney busses, uber, and the taxis. Just keep asking for the taxi line as you pass different people until you get to it.
