Resale shopping again.. my heart wants one thing but my head says another. Give your opinions.

We are moving from California to Florida in June 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Nice!! It's so so different in CA vs FL. I grew up in southern CA, then lived in AZ for a very long time. Now I live on the west coast but somewhere where it snows, I like to be anon so I wont say where but wow the weather difference is insane. Florida felt like AZ heat but just such a wet heat

I'm originally from FL. If there were no other reasons I wouldn't move back, this would be the main reason! It's just too darn humid and hot in the Caribbean climate.

But, whenever DH talks about moving somewhere I do always ask: are there direct flights to Orlando AND to one of the LA areas airports? Won't move to either place but don't take me too far away from them either 😆

We are renting out our house so we're not locked in so I shouldn't say it's permanent.

I don't want to make a mistake and move out of cali and regret it like so many people do to Vegas and then they're back in 3 years 🤣🤣

My biggest gripe is that their Avocados are different 🤣🤣 i will miss the Mexican food from here. Yes I went to the grocery stores to see what was up haha. Every time we go to Fl we look at the different areas.

This is a very valid point. My flights are so much more difficult now than they used to be out of Phoenix. We moved for my husbands job so I am always giving him crap about that when I book flights.

No place has Mexican food like southern Ca. No place.

Honestly I dont even know if they do :rotfl2: There is just something about taco shops in southern Ca. Im not sure if they are putting french fries in a burrito and making California burritos in Mexico.
San Miguel de Allende has the best tacos I've ever had in my life. I dream about those

And Texas
In Texas they love to add bell peppers the food, they do that in AZ too. My 1st burrito in AZ I was like why tf is there bell peppers in here... They dont use bell peppers in southern Cali. (I love bell peppers btw)

Funny story.. We moved to AZ from CA before Chipotle was on every corner. There were no Chipotles in CA at that time. I stopped at Chipotle in AZ and got a burrito. I called my husband and was like "you are never going to believe this... I got WHITE rice in a burrito at the "mexican" place here". We were both just so confused. I mean now it is totally normal and totally tasty and cant imagine why I ever thought it was weird.

In one of our Florida food expeditions we went to a "Mexican" place and the burrito on the menu was called "The Beaner"

My wife being Mexican was very offended by this lol.

I wonder if they know this is offensive or they Just don't care? That wouldn't fly in California, sometimes I forget in my Disney bubble that Florida is in the South and that doesn't concern me a little bit.

WOW. But I guess not many know what that means that haven't lived in southern CA. My husband who is Mexican wouldn't have been offended though but he is super chill about everything, that is why we are so good together, he balances out my crazy.
