Anyone renew their Sirius XM radio subscription lately?

At certain times of the year they offer XM in your car for free. We were driving out of town for Thanksgiving and noticed the service was available even though we didn't subscribe............works for me..............LOL. AFTER Thanksgiving was over, it no longer works. No idea if they plan to do the same thing around Christmas, but will wait and see. Don't really listen to the car radio that often to make it worth paying for.

It's usually only a couple times a year. One is right around Thanksgiving as you found. I believe the other is in the summer. Could be around July 4th. I figure they want to capture those in their cars who they hope will listen during their trip and re-up. There could be a couple more times they do it but I'm unsure.

Apparently SiriusXM is now coming to Tesla after being excluded for a while. Tesla's with the update will receive a 1 month trial...

i've gotten at least 4 mailings over the last month offering $5 per month for a year. i had them transfer the remainder of my other car's coverage to the new at the end of the new's free trial (oldest has no desire to use it and he drives old car). i'll remind them of that $5 offer in April when I call.

Same. Mailings and nearly daily emails. Our car doesn't support it, so it would solely be for our Echo devices at home. No thanks.

We have the Music & Entertainment package, just renewed online. This time I didn’t even have to do a chat. When I clicked cancel, 3 options for reasons why came up..no longer own car, bought a new car with a free trial & other reasons. I clicked other reasons. The next screen offered 2 options to continue with the Advantage plans, which said your subscription price will continue & not renew to full price. So I did not even need to do a chat to keep the discounted rate. If I’m reading it right, won’t have to do it next year either. We had gotten the notice of price increases on March 4th. We were paying $7.30, went up to $9.99.

I just renewed I kept saying no for every time they kept coming back to me I just kept saying no too expensive and I finally got them down to eight dollars a month I paid for the whole year previously I was at seven so not too bad but I hate doing this every year! What they sent me in the mail was $25 a month and I was like I don’t think so!

After taxes and fees, got $12.12/month for 2 vehicles. ($5.00 each then tax/fees). Will play the game next year.

Renewed just now for $12.80/all in for 2 vehicles for a year. Breakdown per vehicle: Subscription $4.93, US Music Royalty Fee $1.06, Other Fees and Taxes $0.41 for a Total of $6.40 per vehicle.
