I assume the AP acts as the ultimate Park Hopper, in that you can come and go as you please every day for an entire year? And that the premium would be like adding the 'plusses' to a PH?

A premium annual pass will also get you into Disney Quest. Plus options are not valid for Disney Quest admission.

Actually to be 100% accurate, a premium annual pass is like having an UPH ticket for every day of the year.

An annual pass is like having a park hopper (the kind without any plus options) for every day of the year.

Both kinds of annual passes have other perks/discounts associated with them.
