Dznyfan-I'm sorry that your DH wants to cancel the trip.

Going to NYC or the cruise would be fun though.
NYC would be fun - and I'd love to go again! But the costs to go to NYC are so high! Plus, the two main shows we want to see won't be open yet. (Young Frankenstein and The Little Mermaid)
Mikes nephews were teasing him b/c he had a Disney hat on.... and Mikes reply was "it makes her happy and guess what I get in return"

they shut up
Hey that sounds like me! I've still got stuff in my suitcases from our trip in May. I figured, it's all my travel stuff that I only use on vacation, and we're going back next month anyway, so it IS away. It belongs IN the suitcases! Yeah, that's the ticket.

DznyFan: BAD husband! Cancelling WDW, what is wrong with him? Tell him he can go elsewhere, but you and Erin are going to WDW. Think that'll work?
Oh goodness, that sounds like us! Stuff still in the suticases - I'm so relieved to find out I'm not the only one who does that.....
yeah - that'll work - as far as the 2 of us are concerned. Don't think he'll go for it..... maybe I should try some of Linda's tricks?
Linda: That's a great reply that Mike had - shut them up pretty quick, huh?
Men can be such dopes when they get together. Not like us women, who are ALWAYS rational and mature in groups.
DznyFan: Oh honey that last sentence really sums it up doesn't it? Sometimes I get lonely and feel tied down by the girls, but I really do enjoy being the one in charge of my own life. I think I am too set in my ways to ever be able to let someone else in, I could never deal with someone else making those kinds of decisions for me. I hope you guys can come to a compromise and find a vacation that you will ALL enjoy. A cruise would be fun - and definitely less expensive than NYC. That's one reason why I always end up back at WDW -- every time I try to plan a trip to somewhere else, it seems like I just don't get as much for the money as a WDW trip. Good luck!
Yes, they can - (not all, of course, Pozey and UD - but most...), and of course we always are!! I'm sure we will come to an agreement - but Erin's words to him last night after he said "I don't want to go to WDW" were right on the money - "I just died a little inside." Drama queen.
Linda, I print off menus too. Usually, I have an idea of where I want to eat, but it's nice to have them for Mike. It helps when you are in the mood for something different and don't want to go around to each place to see the menu. We ended up at CHH (my new favorite) because I had the menu handy.
That's a good idea!! I don't print them, but I will go over and over them.
I forgot to tell you guys this yesterday. When we were in Disney we bought an 11x14 Disney Print, the one with Walt walking on dirt and Cinderella's castle is behind him transparent that says Imagine. I wanted it in January and they were sold out. Well, we decided to have them ship it home along with something Chris got for his boss. When we got home it was all damaged. They had put it in an envelope with the action figure and it had gotten all crunched with the shape of the action figure packaging and had a big crease on it. So I called merchandise guest services to get a new one. They told me to keep the originial and they would send me a new one. I specifically asked to have it sent in a box to avoid it getting damaged again and they said they would. But, we got it on Tuesday and once again its in a soft yellow envelope and is damaged! The envelope doesn't say anything on it like fragile, or photos inside. Chris called them and they redirected him to Art of Disney since they shipped it and he left a message. No one is calling back! And now I imagine they will want me to send back both of the damaged ones as proff that I'm not just trying to get more for free, which will cost me money to do. I'm not happy. Do you guys have any ideas?
And lastly, I just got off the phone with the teacher at the high school I want to work at. She called me because the principle called her to tell her that I passed the test. But, my scores haven't posted on the site where I can check them so I'm a little confused. I assume he found out from them directly...I'm supposed to call him to set up paperwork time. Hopefully I really did pass! I would start training on August 13th but have meetings on August 8th and 9th. Dznyfan, Thoroughly Modern Millie is the fall musical this year. I wonder if I can plug in a Disney trip the first week of August.....
Lin, Disney is so good at replacing damaged articles - just keep calling until you get someone or get a call back. Call at least every day. I can't imagine they won't resolve the issue. And I know the print - I just fell in love with that one when we were out there!
Congratulations on passing your test!!!! I'm so excited for you!
Thoroughly Modern Millie! That's actually the show that she would like to see our HS do in the spring. Need an extra kid for the fall musical?

DznyFan----how DARE he say no to the World!!!!

When is fall break?? What about somewhere on the East Coast to see the colors??
(or WDW) or cruise sounds nice.
(or WDW)
I love Linda's suggestion that you need to finish up Erin's senior pics.
I just read more-----I'm sorry he is being a Disney-downer!!!

Tell him the Joneses LOVE Disney. If he has fun, what's the difference?? Maybe his friends should go and see how nice it can be. It's not just for kids, I hope they know.
DeBush...

Sorry, just easily amused today, I guess.
Some of his friends KNOW - but one has changed is mind about going. Monkey see, monkey do. Oops. Freudian slip.
Wow - this place is impressive. I'll admit I only read through the first ten pages and am already completely lost. Still time to join in or is the cliqueless cliqued already? (OK, yeah, that didn't even make sense to me...)
Welcome, Tink85!
Ugh, I'm so frustrated right now. My dr's office called to confirm my appointment next week, and "oh by the way you owe us almost $200, we will transfer you to billing." That lady was NO help, I kept asking what the heck the bill was for and she couldn't tell me. She said it's my responsibility to know what my costs are and to read my EOBs and bills. I kept telling her I never got any bills, she said it's not her problem, and that I need to check with the post office. Can I get a bill when I come in to the office? "Oh no we don't do it that way. But I can take a credit card over the phone!" Um, no way lady, I'm not going to pay you if you can't even tell me what I owe you for. I swear I was on the phone with her for almost 15 minutes and she could not answer a single question. She tried to tell me the bill was for copays - but the office always tells me I have no copay, as does every other dr's office. Idiots!! I swear they are just out to squeeze every last penny out of you. This is the same office that tried for almost a year to charge me for botox injections, when I actually had injections in the buttocks. I asked the "billing specialist" if that was related to this charge, and she had no idea what I was talking about. She said her records only go back to 2004. Um, ok fine, this happened last year. Ugh... I just had to rant. They make me SO mad! Don't ask me for money and then be unable to tell me what it's for, YOU'RE the one whose billing ME, don't tell me it's MY responsibility!

how frustrating! I think that they should have someone that is capable of confirming what you are being charged for, not just "cause I said you owe it"...
Buttocks, not Botox!!
I've got to go and see if I can find dates and tickets for The Little Mermaid - it's opening in Denver before it opens in NYC. Looks like we might be going to Denver.....
