Wow - this place is impressive. I'll admit I only read through the first ten pages and am already completely lost. Still time to join in or is the cliqueless cliqued already? (OK, yeah, that didn't even make sense to me...) :rolleyes1

Anyone want to come in for a facial tonight????;)

Linda---oh my----topics like that in Transformers??:scared1: They grow up too quickly as it is now---no use pushing those buttons.:sad2:
Have fun at the zoo.
There is something coming here in St. Louis that reminded me of Kenny. I'll have to look into it further, but it is a dinosaur show thingy that the dinos actually are "real" size and walk around. It is being held at one of the big stadiums. I'll look into it and try to get more info. I'm pretty sure it is a travelling show, so I don't know, maybe it will be/ has come to your area??
Oh, and another thing----remind me of the town you live in?? I had a client the other day that is dating someone that lives in your town, I'm almost positive. As soon as she said it, it sounded familiar. You can PM if you don't want to announce it to the world.
Great thinking about printing the menues.
a facial:cloud9: would I ever:love: !!! and I know where you work:teeth:

wow, the dino thing sounds awesome. Kenny would love that!! He is fascinated by them. He's a little sponge and wants to learn everything he can about them...
I live in Mansfield..which is right between Cleveland and Columbus...I work in Columbus, well, really its Reynoldsburg...a suburb on the s/e side ;) I grew up in Galion, had a house in Ontario and the rental is in Lexington:rotfl: there are a few of the towns I've probably mentioned:laughing:

I found out last night that they are making a Alvin and the Chipmunks movie! :faint: NOOOOO!!!! I used to love that show. I think they're going to be hip-hop chipmunks. I'll probably rent it only because Jason Lee is in it.
NOOOO!!:sad2:

Ugh, I'm so frustrated right now. My dr's office called to confirm my appointment next week, and "oh by the way you owe us almost $200, we will transfer you to billing." That lady was NO help
:sad2: don't you love the Dr office. we want your $ and we're not telling you why:confused3 crazy!

Hey there tink85...you're always welcome here... :welcome:

Nicole---ahh, your dad's 50th----how fun!!!! What are the plans??
The Lion King is in St. Louis right now. I cannot believe I didn't get tickets. I have seen it once when it came into town a few years ago, but didn't plan on seeing it this time. Now I am kicking myself. That would be fun if you and Steven would be able to go to Dallas to see it with Lin and Chris. How far away are you from Dallas??

The surprise party is on Friday, then we are going gambling on Saturday! I'm not sure how far Dallas is from here, maybe a few hours. I've lived in Houston all my life and have never been to Dallas!

Thanks for the welcome! Hi all!!! :cool1:

Oh, I just saw the poster for the Alvin and the Chipminks movie and slightly screamed...I think my friends were concerned for my mental health...not cool...they're going to ruin my fave childhood movie - I still rock out to the soundtrack from the Chipmuck movie...

I found out last night that they are making a Alvin and the Chipmunks movie! :faint: NOOOOO!!!! I used to love that show. I think they're going to be hip-hop chipmunks. I'll probably rent it only because Jason Lee is in it. Have fun at the party and with your grandparents Lyzziesmom!

I hadn't heard about this movie yet. I'm guessing it's going to be live action with CG chipmunks? I hope they don't try to do costumes like they did with the Country Bears movie - yucko! I've liked Jason Lee since before he did My Name is Earl so that might be good, but it just sounds like a bad idea. Why can't the just leave the old stuff alone and come up with some new ideas? They want new kids to like the old stuff, play it on tv once in a while!

I am excited about my grandparents visit, it's always nice to see them. I tried to tell my mom to ask them to bring their kittens for us, but she butted in and said, "You're not getting a cat!" as if I'm 12. :sad2: They have 2 barn kittens that are just a few months old, and since they're moving they are going to either give them away or if Grandpa has his way, shoot them. My mom is taking the girls up to MN to their house next week, maybe I can get her to bring the little guys back. Yeah right, and monkeys might fly... well you know the rest. The girls are already preparing for their visit - my grandpa is a big teaser so we have to remind the kids that he will like to tease them. Emma teases him right back! Maybe I'll have to teach her Kenny's famous "teasement" ;).

Hi tink85! Some might say we've cliqued, but we still love newcomers and you can jump in anytime to say hello. This is a good place to chat or just vent about your day. Don't worry about being lost - I think most of us are lost a good deal of the time!

Welcome Tink85! I had the same reaction when I saw the poster! :rotfl:

Lyzziesmom- I hope you get a cat! Definitely don't let your grandpa shoot them!

LINDA

Here ya go-----it doesn't tell much about the show, but it is called "Walking with Dinosaurs"-------I saw this on TV and thought of Kenny. Scroll through the schedule-----it is coming to Columbus at the end of August. Just a thought.

Mansfield----yep, that's it.

HI Lin----:cool1: :cool1: congrats!!!!!:cool1: :cool1:
I would definitely call the Art of Disney and talk to a manager. The print sounds beautiful!!!! Post a pic if you can, I would love to see it.

Hi Lyzziesmom-----I would insist on knowing what I am paying for. Those EOBs never make sense to me anyway, so I am always calling and verifying what the bills are for.

okay, really must run now----I will try and catch up with you chatty bunch tonight.

see ya

Mikes nephews were teasing him b/c he had a Disney hat on.... and Mikes reply was "it makes her happy and guess what I get in return":lmao: they shut up:rotfl:
:lmao: :lmao:
And lastly, I just got off the phone with the teacher at the high school I want to work at. She called me because the principle called her to tell her that I passed the test. But, my scores haven't posted on the site where I can check them so I'm a little confused. I assume he found out from them directly...I'm supposed to call him to set up paperwork time. Hopefully I really did pass! I would start training on August 13th but have meetings on August 8th and 9th. Dznyfan, Thoroughly Modern Millie is the fall musical this year. I wonder if I can plug in a Disney trip the first week of August.....

:yay: :cheer2: I hope the principle is right!:yay:

How cool is this!!!http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11226602&whse=BC&topnav=&browse=&lang=en-US

The Chipmunks Great Escape? Is that what it was called, with the hot air balloons. I can't listen to the song "wooly bullY" without seeing Theodore! Plus the baby penguins were so cute!

Welcome Tink85! I had the same reaction when I saw the poster! :rotfl:

LOL - excellent! That makes me feel a little better. Plus, did you see what they did to the chipmunks? They looked like little punks...am i getting too old??!! (it may be an effect of the quarter-life crisis I am having - the whole graduating from college thing is not as fun as it looks in the movies)

Oh, and Lyzziesmom, good luck with the kittens! I'm a big cat lover - my "kitten" just had her 10th birthday this year
(would he really shoot them?! seriously, we should intervene or something...)

are you allowed to post twice in a row???!!! If I'm breaking thread etiquette...um, i don't know....send me to the brig??

And yes that is the one I was talking about - I still sing the Girls of Rock 'n Roll at the top of my lungs in the car ;)

I do remember now!:yay: It takes me a while!!!;)

The girls are doing High School Musical Karaoke.:headache: My head is throbbing!

Dznyfan-I'm sorry that your DH wants to cancel the trip. :(Going to NYC or the cruise would be fun though.
NYC would be fun - and I'd love to go again! But the costs to go to NYC are so high! Plus, the two main shows we want to see won't be open yet. (Young Frankenstein and The Little Mermaid)

Mikes nephews were teasing him b/c he had a Disney hat on.... and Mikes reply was "it makes her happy and guess what I get in return":lmao: they shut up:rotfl:
:lmao: :rotfl2:

Hey that sounds like me! I've still got stuff in my suitcases from our trip in May. I figured, it's all my travel stuff that I only use on vacation, and we're going back next month anyway, so it IS away. It belongs IN the suitcases! Yeah, that's the ticket. :thumbsup2 (thumb)

DznyFan: BAD husband! Cancelling WDW, what is wrong with him? Tell him he can go elsewhere, but you and Erin are going to WDW. Think that'll work? :lmao:
Oh goodness, that sounds like us! Stuff still in the suticases - I'm so relieved to find out I'm not the only one who does that.....
yeah - that'll work - as far as the 2 of us are concerned. Don't think he'll go for it..... maybe I should try some of Linda's tricks? ;)

Linda: That's a great reply that Mike had - shut them up pretty quick, huh? Men can be such dopes when they get together. Not like us women, who are ALWAYS rational and mature in groups. ;)
DznyFan: Oh honey that last sentence really sums it up doesn't it? Sometimes I get lonely and feel tied down by the girls, but I really do enjoy being the one in charge of my own life. I think I am too set in my ways to ever be able to let someone else in, I could never deal with someone else making those kinds of decisions for me. I hope you guys can come to a compromise and find a vacation that you will ALL enjoy. A cruise would be fun - and definitely less expensive than NYC. That's one reason why I always end up back at WDW -- every time I try to plan a trip to somewhere else, it seems like I just don't get as much for the money as a WDW trip. Good luck!
Yes, they can - (not all, of course, Pozey and UD - but most...), and of course we always are!! I'm sure we will come to an agreement - but Erin's words to him last night after he said "I don't want to go to WDW" were right on the money - "I just died a little inside." Drama queen.

Linda, I print off menus too. Usually, I have an idea of where I want to eat, but it's nice to have them for Mike. It helps when you are in the mood for something different and don't want to go around to each place to see the menu. We ended up at CHH (my new favorite) because I had the menu handy.
That's a good idea!! I don't print them, but I will go over and over them.

I forgot to tell you guys this yesterday. When we were in Disney we bought an 11x14 Disney Print, the one with Walt walking on dirt and Cinderella's castle is behind him transparent that says Imagine. I wanted it in January and they were sold out. Well, we decided to have them ship it home along with something Chris got for his boss. When we got home it was all damaged. They had put it in an envelope with the action figure and it had gotten all crunched with the shape of the action figure packaging and had a big crease on it. So I called merchandise guest services to get a new one. They told me to keep the originial and they would send me a new one. I specifically asked to have it sent in a box to avoid it getting damaged again and they said they would. But, we got it on Tuesday and once again its in a soft yellow envelope and is damaged! The envelope doesn't say anything on it like fragile, or photos inside. Chris called them and they redirected him to Art of Disney since they shipped it and he left a message. No one is calling back! And now I imagine they will want me to send back both of the damaged ones as proff that I'm not just trying to get more for free, which will cost me money to do. I'm not happy. Do you guys have any ideas?

And lastly, I just got off the phone with the teacher at the high school I want to work at. She called me because the principle called her to tell her that I passed the test. But, my scores haven't posted on the site where I can check them so I'm a little confused. I assume he found out from them directly...I'm supposed to call him to set up paperwork time. Lin, Disney is so good at replacing damaged articles - just keep calling until you get someone or get a call back. Call at least every day. I can't imagine they won't resolve the issue. And I know the print - I just fell in love with that one when we were out there!
Congratulations on passing your test!!!! I'm so excited for you!
Thoroughly Modern Millie! That's actually the show that she would like to see our HS do in the spring. Need an extra kid for the fall musical?

DeBush

DznyFan----how DARE he say no to the World!!!!:scared1: When is fall break?? What about somewhere on the East Coast to see the colors?? (or WDW) or cruise sounds nice. (or WDW)
I love Linda's suggestion that you need to finish up Erin's senior pics.;)
I just read more-----I'm sorry he is being a Disney-downer!!!:sad2:  Tell him the Joneses LOVE Disney. If he has fun, what's the difference?? Maybe his friends should go and see how nice it can be. It's not just for kids, I hope they know.
DeBush...:rotfl2: Sorry, just easily amused today, I guess.

Some of his friends KNOW - but one has changed is mind about going. Monkey see, monkey do. Oops. Freudian slip.

Wow - this place is impressive. I'll admit I only read through the first ten pages and am already completely lost. Still time to join in or is the cliqueless cliqued already? (OK, yeah, that didn't even make sense to me...) :rolleyes1
Welcome, Tink85!

Ugh, I'm so frustrated right now. My dr's office called to confirm my appointment next week, and "oh by the way you owe us almost $200, we will transfer you to billing." That lady was NO help, I kept asking what the heck the bill was for and she couldn't tell me. She said it's my responsibility to know what my costs are and to read my EOBs and bills. I kept telling her I never got any bills, she said it's not her problem, and that I need to check with the post office. Can I get a bill when I come in to the office? "Oh no we don't do it that way. But I can take a credit card over the phone!" Um, no way lady, I'm not going to pay you if you can't even tell me what I owe you for. I swear I was on the phone with her for almost 15 minutes and she could not answer a single question. She tried to tell me the bill was for copays - but the office always tells me I have no copay, as does every other dr's office. Idiots!! I swear they are just out to squeeze every last penny out of you. This is the same office that tried for almost a year to charge me for botox injections, when I actually had injections in the buttocks. I asked the "billing specialist" if that was related to this charge, and she had no idea what I was talking about. She said her records only go back to 2004. Um, ok fine, this happened last year. Ugh... I just had to rant. They make me SO mad! Don't ask me for money and then be unable to tell me what it's for, YOU'RE the one whose billing ME, don't tell me it's MY responsibility!
 how frustrating! I think that they should have someone that is capable of confirming what you are being charged for, not just "cause I said you owe it"...
Buttocks, not Botox!!

I've got to go and see if I can find dates and tickets for The Little Mermaid - it's opening in Denver before it opens in NYC. Looks like we might be going to Denver.....

Lesa, that thing it so cool! I LOVE bounce houses and am constantly asking Mike for one. I wonder what I have to do to get one? :scratchin

tink85, welcome!!

Oh, and Lyzziesmom, good luck with the kittens! I'm a big cat lover - my "kitten" just had her 10th birthday this year
(would he really shoot them?! seriously, we should intervene or something...)

Yep, he definitely would. They live on a ranch out in the country, and it is not unusual in their neck of the woods to shoot extra animals. My grandma is always yelling at him not to do it in front of us grandkids. When I was about 6, we had a BBQ at their house and I thought the chicken leg tasted a little off, I was told to just put more BBQ sauce on it. The next day I went out to the rabbit cages and Thumper had escaped! Whoops, turns out he hadn't escaped, but he had to be "put to good use" before he got too old and tough. :scared: Since this is my mom's family, the chances of talking her into rescuing the kittens for me -- and bringing them back with her on a 10-hour car ride with the kids -- are slim to none. I'll have to remind her of the last time she told me I couldn't handle a cat & a baby, and I ended up rescuing from a friend the best pet I'd had in 25 years. If that doesn't work, I can always get the kids involved and use the guilt of disappointing them. ;) Yeah ok, so I'm a little evil. But hey, we're talking about saving the lives of Stink and Stinky here!
