I just got some sad news about a friend. One of my friends from college just called to tell me that one of our other TDS co-workers 2 year old died yesterday from burn complications. Apparently they had a garage sale the other day and while mom and dad were doing the garage sale thing the little girl got into the gas can in the corner of the garage. Later than night they were having a barbeque in the backyard and one of the cousins, the mothers sister, had a sparkler. There must have been just enough gasoline on the little girls clothes that the sparkler managed to ignite the gasoline and her clothes caught fire. She had been in ICU burn unit since Saturday and passed away last night. I'm not sure of the little girls name but her mom and dad are JaQuetta and Justin. Please say a prayer for them, and for JaQuetta's little sister who feels responsible. This is such a terrible accident.

Here ya go-----it doesn't tell much about the show, but it is called "Walking with Dinosaurs"-------I saw this on TV and thought of Kenny. Scroll through the schedule-----it is coming to Columbus at the end of August. Just a thought.

he would probably run out and order it now for that I know...I paid more than that for Kennys it is ridiculous and now a few years later...you can find them much cheaper...but I guess that's how it goes. He enjoyed it and that's the important part!

Oh wow Lin, you hear about these kinds of things every year but that is just awful. You'd think somebody would have noticed that the little girl smelled like gasoline? I know how hectic it can be with a lot of people around, and there is just no way to see everything the little ones are up to. The sister is NOT responsible, it's just one of those horrible things that happen when all the little things add up and go wrong. My thoughts are with the family.


I just did my retail therapy at TDS ... how is it possible that I've been there so many times the past few weeks and I STILL manage to find stuff I didn't see before? It suddenly hit me that I will probably be expected to bring a gift for DB's college graduation party. Behind the counter they had a few boxes with really nice watches that were part of the big sale - I got him a Mickey one (and a Minnie one for myself). Hey, they were so cheap, how could I not buy them? Also got some matching Minnie t-shirts for me and the girls - but sadly the movie poster tshirts were just down to the tiny sizes. Its so funny, because when I lived in FL all the clearance items would be bigger sizes, and here in KS all the tiny sizes are left for clearance. I got my mom the purse she wanted - she is so funny to want that, because not only is she usually not into Disney that much, but she doesn't like to carry a purse either! Hahaaa, the conversion continues -- at this rate they will be happy to buy DVC! I saw a really great pirate ladies' tshirt that I am really hoping will go on sale soon, it was white w/black stripes, little cap sleeves and a multi-colored rhinestone outline of a skull & crossbones. Wow that sounds tacky, but it was actually very cute and would be PERFECT for the P&PP. Crossing my fingers that it'll be in the next sale, and that it'll happen before the end of next month!

I have that print you are having so many problems with!! I bought it in Feb. Of course it is still on my dresser in the plastic. I need to buy a frame for it. I still have no art on the walls in the basement. My plan is to decorate down here all in the Disney stuff I have. I have some of my pins framed, but I need to frame more.

That's my evil plan! They have not toured, or even thought about it... but so far they are already very impressed with SSR and my dad keeps researching, and I keep dropping hints about how much money people are saving who bought years ago, and how if you go a lot it can be such a good deal, and and and

Oh yes, we have the blue tiki outfits for 7 of us, because Mom wanted something nice to wear to the Luau at WDW, and we have the blue tiki picture frame to put our photo in after we go to the Luau in our coordinating blue tiki outfits, and we have the tshirts for all 7 of us, and I just got Minnie surfer tshirts for me and my girls... I've been a little obsessed with TDS lately. I figure, this way I'll be all shopped out by the time I'm actually IN WDW and will save money on souvenirs! (thumb)
