Anyone know if the Disney Visa debit card gets the $1500 off too, or is it only the Disney Visa credit card? Not sure I want to open another credit card, but would gladly add the debit card.

It should, it gets all the other Disney Visa perks like merch discounts etc. Call your Guide to be sure before you go to the hassle.

I think they are so desperate to sell the cabins that if you simply drew your own DISNEY VISA card with crayons on a piece of paper, then laminated it, I'm guessing they'd happily accept that, too.

Back in April, I opened up a regular Disney Visa for both me and my wife, and then a week later, ended up submitting new applications for the Disney Visa Premier for both of us, realizing I wanted the Premier for the 2% cash back. I could have upgraded, but then I’d miss out on the sign up bonus, so I figured why not give it a shot. Chase, surprisingly, ended up approving all 4 card applications.

Don't beat yourself up! Chase wouldn't have upgraded your new Disney Visa to a Premier Disney Visa if you held it less than a year since it's subject to the CARD Act and banks can't change the annual fee of your card within the first year of holding the account and this would have violated that. Business cards are different and you can change those up under a year.

I feel like it's probably fairly likely that LSL and CFW will be combined but I don't think it's likely enough that I'd be willing to buy in right now, personally.

I totally thought it would be combined, but now I'm hoping not. Imagine all the people who bought the cabins for the cabins and then people buying LSL who later decide to book the cabins for the point miser strategy. It would suck for those who bought specifically for the cabins.

All 10 people who bought for the cabins, you mean? I think they'll be fine. Hopefully, if they do roll LSL in with the cabins it will encourage them to declare more cabins into the Trust so availability improves particularly at the 7 month mark. Thus far it seems Disney doesn't want to encourage 7 month bookings at the cabins so they can improve sales I guess.

Agree under 7 month booking or bust for me.

I could see making a case for owning there if you always go for Halloween and Christmas.. but even then those MF are a hard sell.

There isn't enough chatter about this. The cabins incentive history has been (at the 150 point level, before any other discounts/MB):
December to February: $30 per point + $1,000 Limited Time Savings ($225 Base Price) - $188 price per point
February to April: $22 per point ($235 Base Price) - $213 price per point
April to July: $24 per point + $3600 Incentive Value ($235 base price) - $187 price per point
Current offer: $30 per point + $4500 Incentive Value ($235 base price) - $175 price per point

It looks like there's finally a trend of them lowering prices to test for the level where people will start biting. At some point, it may become a cheap way to backdoor yourself into LSL (if you're willing to take that risk).

The whole "quick let's make the incentives even better not long after the cycle started" thing is fascinating to me.... but I also think it just won't make a significant difference in selling points at CFW. The basic challenges of that resort still exist and $5 more off a point are probably not enough to broaden the appeal to typical DVC buyers.

I think the Welcome Home might be bundled into the $35 off. Other than that this looks good. Should be $22,500.

I would take TPG valuations with a grain of salt, their objective is to push the cards to get their commission.
Is 2 cents a points feasible? Yes. Is more than 2 cents a point possible? Absolutely, but then you ask yourself, "Would I have booked whatever exorbitant flight or hotel if not chasing the highest point value?"
Personally I value it at 1 cent a point as that's the easiest redemption for me. Some would value it even less, I think getting as a statement credit is 0.6 cents a point.

But still, great deal.

Note that the Spark business card requires $30,000 in spending to get the $2,000 signup bonus.

You'll go a little over that (it's nice that the $3,000 for MB can be charged and later refunded via check) and could put the excess on a second card like you're saying. But what's the spending requirement on the Amex? You might not quite reach it. But as long as you get there with other spending you can cheat a little and mentally apply the full benefit of those bonus points to your DVC purchase. #disneymath

Oh and I should share an issue I ran into with a different Spark business card- they stuck me with a $5,000 credit limit... if that happens your guide will need to be ok with splitting up the payments quite a bit.

I recently got the 250k bonus on the AMEX plat business with a $20k spend (looks like 200k is the current offer…still pretty good).

Used 235,000 points for a business class international flight. Would have been $6,700 cash….so 2.85 a point. Worth it to me me being 6’4”…

You guys get such good points offers compared to us in the UK.

That's likely becaue the UK has much lower limits on swipe fees. Frankly, I'd rather have the credit cards skim less of the top of every transaction---a skim which I am paying for, points or no---than to be able to chase rewards.
