Ready freddy!
I spent the weekend doing a bunch of low level quests - I got through the Silverpine Forest and Hillsbrad Foothills additional loremaster achievements. I'm already Loremaster (pre-patch), but we get extra achievement points for the additional quests. My friends, the Horde quests, especially out of Silverpine, are EXCEPTIONAL. I am sure that the Alliance quest lines are just as great. There are a lot of cutscenes & cinematics and it's so much fun! There were so many times I laughed out loud and got totally into it. The quests regarding Gilneas were outstanding. If you are into the WoW lore, please don't miss this! Also, google "WoW Insider" - it's a great resource for everything, including lore.
Finally got my butt in gear this weekend and became Exalted with the Goblins (Bilgewater Cartel) - and got my TWO trikes. One is a slower mount, the other is a fast one. Very easy additional mounts if you are working towards the Mountain O' Mounts achievement. If you're Hordies, just travel to where the flightmaster is in Org, and the gobbo quartermaster is there - get a tabard and wear that thing through a bunch of heroics. Reputation goes fast. And...if you visit the goblin city in Azshara, make sure you take the rocket ship from one end to the other. You will get the [Joy Ride] achievement as well as have an absolute blast (no pun intended).
I've been doing the new fishing & cooking dailies in my home city this past week. It gave me an idea of how to do them efficiently and a bit of a headstart on chef's tokens. They're pretty easy, and it's easy experience & skillups - well worth it come Cata.
Tonight, I'm cleaning out my bags and bank on my main (Belf Pallytard) to make room for all the cool schtuff I'm gonna get. I will also be clearing out my quest log to make room for quests - some of the old raid quests that I never got to can be abandoned. The only quests I'm keeping are some of the ones I know I'm going to eventually get to, maybe 3-4. I'm also going to make sure to put on my Heirloom gear so I can take advantage of the experience buff.
Boyfriend is getting both of our Collectors Editions at midnight tonight. As I have to work tomorrow and am just getting rid of this nasty cold, I will not be waiting in line in 20 degree weather with him as I have for previous expansions. When he returns, and while I'm asleep, he will be making sure the game is installed on my computer. He's off for most of the rest of the month, so he'll be leveling his other toons during the day and saving his druid for me in the evenings. He has 5 level 80's and I have 4 level 80's. He's got enough to keep him busy during the day and he'll have the opportunity to see things before I get to them, so we can duo in a very efficient way.
My plan tomorrow afternoon is to get off of work, go directly home, change into my pj's, toss something quick down my gullet, and start to level my girl. I think I'm going to start in Mount Hyjal and once I'm done there, I'm going to play in Vash'jir. I will probably be higher than the recommended level, but as in Northrend, I want to experience every zone fully (that means, getting the achievement). Furthermore, it allows me to make more gold because all the quests after level cap are gravy money!
For Wrath, I busted my butt to level, and I don't want to do that this time. You see, it will probably be another 3 years before another expansion comes out and I don't want to be bored or think the only thing I can do is to raid. I'm going to take my time and savor the leveling process and not let a bunch of jackwagons muss up my time. (ask me that when some dork is stealing my herbs...)
I am so excited I'm about to pop. If the changes thusfar (cinematics / phasing / storylines / etc) are any indication of what we're going to see tomorrow, I am going to be one happy lady.
If I don't get to chat with you guys again, I hope you all have a wonderful day and enjoy yourselves with the new xpac.
