The World of Warcraft Cataclysm Thread.

Well just read that they have already pushed back to 1pm PST for maintenance..which is fine. I wont be ready to log into WOW until closer to 7p tonight anyways..

So I am reading that when we are able to log in, that everyone will come back into the game at the graveyard closest to where they logged out..so I logged in ORG on most of my toons that are horde, meaning they log back in at the GY outside ORG..

Oh also Lore wise...we all fast forwarded a few years since we went to "sleep" last log off...interesting..

Me...I am debating on creating my troll druid, or continuing questing on some of my other low level toons, now that everything has changed...I have some in the high 30's that were in the middle of STV questing...now EVERYTHING has moved..LOL

I'm gonna go looking around on my main just to see the new stuff. Then, time permitting if the servers come up before 8 server our guild has our weekly ICC 25 we do so nothing that exciting lol

Oh my the login screen looks pretty sweet! That's about as far as I got lol. Of course ole Deathy is sitting atop my beloved Stormwind. I sure hope Little Timmy makes it out alive!

So how did everyones WOW Shattering go? Any issues?

Last night DH and I rolled a pair of undead hunters together...otherwise did not do much as he got home late...

We didn't have any issues either. There are so many new quests I filled up my log rather quickly! Make sure you revisit some areas where you might have done quests before as there are new/revised ones in those areas. In the Barrens for example, out where you killed Eekyachee <sp> there's a whole new quest chain in that area.

The only issue I have is my DH is going for the Insane title (yes he is insane!) and needs Stranglekelp to make Darkmoon cards. It seems there in only one place to get that herb now. You used to be able to find it just about anywhere, not anymore.

Where are you guys finding new quests at? I found the new fishing and cooking dailies in SW but other than that, I've not found anything yet.

Basically all the zones were changed, causing all the old quests there to be deleted or changed in some way..

Of course, as an 80, you wont see anything unless you turn on you Low level quest tracker...

Roll an new toon just for fun, its like playing the game for the first time all over again!

Ok I was actually thinking there would be some level 80 quests. I guess that wont happen until Cataclysm.

approximately 3500 new quests once Cata hits. I have read that in several magazines.

One thing I notices is that several zones that I almost had completed are now completed because the new patch just called them complete....

I can't believe that I am saying this, but I already miss the world the way it was, and the lack of portals is horrible.

I am LOVING the new world...its all fresh again...and that makes it a new game...and the portals, meh, I am ok with it...once we get old world flying, it will be a non issue

I rolled a Tauren Pally last night...Did 10 levels in 1hr 30min play time...with 20% exp bonus with heirlooms...I love it

So how was everyones first weekend with the new fun stuff? I got my pally to almost 30 already! I leveled out of The Northern Barrens REALLY quick..and the new Deadmines is awesome..

I played a bit over the weekend - did a few heroics to get reputation for the Bilgewater cartel (did you see the Trike you can buy at Exalted???), I d/c'd a bunch of times, but I think it was due to my addons. /shrug I also missed getting the "Pilgrim" title by 2 rogues (stupid dorfs & gnomes) - so i'll try again next year.

and then...the crud hit.

Both me and my guy got hit with sinus infections and spent Saturday & Sunday abed in a state of snuffly misery.

I'm going to see how I feel tonight. Cata is only a week away!!! omg!

Hey I did a fair amount of WoWing this weekend. Got my pilgram achievement and a blue drake mount from Heroic Occulas (sp?). Although I had to cheat a bit on the Turkey Lurkey achievement. I created the rogues that I was missing (troll and orc) on hubby's account and then I traveled to Durotar to blast 'em.

Other than that I spent a fair amount of time (frustratingly so) trying to get the sunflower pet. Wow that is hard to do!

I used the pilgram event to level cooking on a ton of toons. I didnt even bother to go for the achievment, I just didnt care enough I guess..LOL

I worked on my tauren pally a bit more..Its funny, most of my groups are made up of troll druids and tauren priests..very amusing. Otherwise, DH and I worked on some of our grouped alts..

I cant believe we are a week away!!
