After browsing around in the PTR and checking out the landscape, we are in for some huge changes! It is true that the portals are gone in Shatt and Dal, so the next best thing is either Org or one of the zeppelin sides to Dal (Warsong or Vengeance Landing) so you can get back and forth. Unless you're a Mage, then there's you're money-maker at least at the beginning .

The new redesigned Org is a bit of a pain to navigate as there aren't any signs pointing where to go for which zeppelin (or really any signs period!) or which way to go to get anywhere. The guards had laryngitis and couldn't help me, so hopefully they will be feeling better come patch day. Also, if you're a Hunter, pets were having issues of laziness and not wanting to walk/follow you.

Overall, it's really a huge change like playing for the first time.

I agree with you. I actually still use Shattrath as a hub only because Dalaran when its busy does mean and nasty things to my computer. I am looking forward to working on getting exalted with my toons as well. The guild stuff I am kinda worried about..I recently lost my guild due to drama, so I am sitting here guildless.

Shatt makes my frame rate go wonky too…trust me, Org/SW will be that way in a few weeks. LOL

As for your guild, it’s tough to be guildless, especially due to drama. Some people prefer to be solitary, so it’s up to you. I’m sure you will find a good group of people soon if that is what you want. If you’re in the market, I’d suggest the following: (1) join in PuGs, usually spammed on your Trade Chat and meet people that way, (2) when the forums become more active again, search on your realm’s forums or the guild forums on the official site.

I mostly play horde as well. Casual raider here too. I do dabble a bit on alliance though on certain servers.

Aha…you play on the dark side. I see. But I have a secret – I started as Alliance. I still have a level 71 human rogue decked out in SSC gear that I haven’t touched in 2 ½ years. Don’t tell.

I use some mods, not as many as some, but I cant live without some. I use Healium for healing, Titan Bar for my info, and if SellJunk is not working..I cry..LOL..I also use T-Bag for my bag addon.

I swear by VuhDo for healing, it’s even better than Healbot, in my opinion. SellJunk is borked – try “AutoProfit X”, it is awesome.

Most of my horde toon reside on Undermine right now. I actually do have a few toons on Thrall....alliance side though. I may start rolling some horde there as well...DH and I are always starting new toons. My main is an 80 Belf Warlock(I love DESTRO), my other main is a 80 Druid Boomkin!! I my boomkin. I also have a Belf Ret pally who is also 80. Not sure how I feel about Ret yet though. I also dabble on Holy with her.

Like I said, if you find yourself floating around on Thrall, give me a shoutout. My pally is mainly a healatard, but she can ret it up pretty good, as she’s all geared in ICC crap for both specs.

We have a bunch of alts scattered around a few other servers, including Drak'Thul, Cenarious, and Elune.

I tried starting a few alts on RP servers with the Significant Other, but all he does is roll a Tauren and go /moo at everyone. The SO left in a huff when some Tauren came up to me in Mulgore and said, “Is this Tauren your mate?” He just couldn’t deal with the RPing, I guess. I actually have my hands full with my 4 primary toons (though my Pallytard is my main), so I don’t have a lot of alt-itis.

HAHA..I do hate gnomes, but I played worgen in the Beta...and again..

I heard that the Worgen is awesome, and I want to try that, if only for the lore and learning of the early quests.

I've kinda new to addons but I can't live without titanpanel, bagnon, healium, accomplishment, and gatherer (and a few more here and there, but that's the jist of it).

I have trouble playing undead...I spend all that hard work getting pretty gear, and its all torn to shreds!! I had trouble for a LOOONG time playing Tauren because I hated the fact they dont wear shoes..same with trolls! Big ugly FEET!

Oh, I started out as Ally too...I went to the Darkside about 3yrs ago...I only just recently deleted my first toon..after I stripped her down and sold all her possesions, then sent the money to the horde..LOL

Indeed, I am subbing as well. I haven’t posted in months, but this thread caught my attention. Forgive the length here – but you all combined two of my favorite things. Disney fans AND WoWers. Well played, friends!

I have already parked all my toons in Orgrimmar, anticipating the Shattering. I have 4 level 80's who are eagerly anticipating smackin' ol' Deathwing upside his molten armored head! How he treated my dear friend Alexstraza was unconscionable! No worries...he will be hearing from me soon enough!

I predict that Dalaran will be a ghost town, just like Shattrath was after Wrath came out. However, people who enjoy PVP might want to play there to get to Wintergrasp, and to do cooking/fishing dailies if that’s your thing. Also, if you've already gotten to Loremaster, the next thing you will want to do is to make sure everyone loves you - get your reputations up to Exalted (that is 40 Exalted reps before Cata, and 45 exalted reps after Cata). It will assist your guild with achievements and perks. Being one of the founders and officers in my current guild for the past year and a half, I'm very excited about the guild changes.

Yep, I am a proud member of the Horde (Loremaster, Exalted, Kingslayer, and many more ) and consider myself a pretty decent raider – albeit not a hardcore one. We do well enough for a casual guild – we’ve completed all raiding encounters. Hey…where are all my hordies? Am I the only one?

Our guild is full of middle-aged geeks like me, and most of our kids/siblings/parents/inlaws/friends are part of our guild (guild name: Jackal). I’m also a mod queen – I’m a fan of Carbonite, Dominos, VuhDo (for you healers – it’s invaluable), and more. I think I have something like 125 mods now, which always break after each patch and I spend a week getting them to work again. LOL

I am a self-admitted Lore Geek, Achievement Wh…er…Fiend (~6700 achievement pts), Mount / Pet Collector (100+ mounts, almost 100 pets) and closet RPer. My guildmates usually give me grief when I school them on the importance of the Aspects and comment that my buddy Thrall has handed over his role as Warchief to that butt-monkey Garrosh in order to serve a higher good as the Baddest Shaman in The World. I luff me some Thrall…he’s my hero! /swoon I’m not a Garrosh fan…Team Vol’jin all the way!

Oh, I am on the Thrall server – oh yes, I am. It’s very Horde friendly. I share this server with many of my real life friends and my significant other (he’s the boyfriend, and we’ve been together for 7 years). The two of us have been playing WoW since launch – some 6 years now. My main toon is an 80 Paladin (healin’ & rettin’), and I also have an 80 Druid (feral), 80 Priest (face-melting shadowy goodness) and 80 Rogue (combat stabbymuffin). I think there’s a level 67 DK in there, but she bores me. Once those main four are at 85 and I get a little bored, I plan on starting a goblin Mage and a Worgen Druid, even though the Worgen is a stinky alliance. /rasp

Stinky alliance is RIGHT! You know the alliance don’t use deodorant, right? Right?? I mean, that’s why they put Jaina in a tower in Theramore…story goes that she stunk Lordaeron right out! (which is probably why the Forsaken can handle the stench – no nostrils = no smellin’). And Varian Wrynn? He’s the stinkiest of them all. OMGBBQSAUZ – don’t even get me started on those hairy little dorfs. The gnomes…they’re good fer puntin’.

If y’all find yourself on the Thrall server, on the cool side (Horde…of course), shout out a holler to Bellaryl / Tehya / Dalanari / Mirgot. I’m usually playing one of those four broads, and am always available for a quick /hi and /dance. If you’re REALLY nice, my main will put on her dancing outfit and jam on the roof of the Orgrimmar Bank!

3 80's and one 79 who will be dinging in about 2 hours lol. Do not get to play nearly as much as I would like right now, but I have a month off school starting Wed and then when I get back from Disney I will only have 4 days until Cata comes out. 1. I did have RPHelper and yes, I had to turn it off during raids and dungeons or else people got upset. It died a horrible death after this past patch.

2. Autoprofit X dumped after 4.0, then there was an alternate fix and then they updated Autoprofit. It's been working fine for me. I'd be happy to talk about mods and stuff offlist if you want...just pm me, or whisper me in game.

3. I'm not a big fan of the Undead, but they had really good racials for a rogue so I stuck with it. It's my least favorite horde race. My Tauren is pretty, for a moocow, and I'm ok with the bare hoofs. Besides, she's usually in bird or kitty form (because she moves faster). I'm not a big fan of Trolls, but I love Vol'jin (only because he hates Garrosh as much as I do).

4. There are a lot of Ex-Ally people on the Horde, I think we had to start out as the pretty races. I read a lot of WoW books and stuff, and in my opinion, the Horde have a much more rich lore than the alliance races have. Besides, did you know that Deathwing's two kids both masqueraded as humans, deceiving them? That would be Lord Victor Nefarion and Lady Onyxia Prestor. Indeed. And my buddy Alexstraza? Heh..she's a blood elf as is her consort Korialstrasz (aka Krasus, the hero of the Kirin Tor). I say that alone keeps me from trusting hoomanz.

LOL..just think though, the Barrens is not going to be an Horde only quest zone...its gonna be full of stinking ally..so there may be some sensless PVP going on, as there is usually someone running around in PVP at WAY to low a level..LOL..

And honestly, Barrens chat has been tame lately..its been TRADE chat that has been all over the place...with all the ppl in cities doing the elementals..

So has anyone read the 2 recent books that came out..The Shattering, and the Lich King one?

Grats! Wow we've been trying really hard for the last two weeks and I only saw it drop once for my guild. bummer But very happy you got one.

I was actually just the opposite, I started out Horde, Troll Warrior but my husband started playing Alliance so I switched and I've never looked back. My poor lone lvl 34 is stuck somewhere in STV.... Plus I made the mistake of starting out on a pvp server. Never, ever again.

My guild has been doing mount runs before hand.. I got the Cenarion war hypogryph finally (it only took me 2 years to grind enough rep for it)

I cannot wait for the expansion.. My main (an 80 rogue) has all 264 gear , and I was getting quite bored.

If anyone is on the Kirin Tor server, look me up I play on the alliance side. The toons I play on are named Jesslynn and Liika.

For those of you who are interested in more mounts, they shortened the waiting period on the Oracle Eggs (in Sholozar Basin, you need to be exalted with the Oracles to buy them), and increased the drop rate of the green protodrake.

I'm a mount junkie. Currently at 102 mounts and counting (it's good to be a paladin). Would like to get the Raven from Anzu as well...but he's a greedy little Skettis. Many conga-rats on the Glory to the Hero! Pretty impressive.

down to 3 days, my friend. And that means every 3 days I'm gonna be takin' the dumb zepp to Northrend from Org until I get the mount. Tonight, I think I'm just going to be running around looking at stuff. I think the zepplin from Org to Thunder Bluff might be quite interesting.

I have been exalted with the puppymen (Frenzyheart) to get the Frenzyheart Brew trinket (turns you into a frenzyheart!) and then I went ALL the way back on Oracles to get to exalted with them. I'm a rep freak.
