Nobody comes out and says that, but nobody I know can come up with anything "better". I know plenty of people much older than 25, though, that I wouldn't dare trust with my car!

exactly! my older cousin is26 and has been in about 5accidents and countless tickets....im 23 and have had no problems

Kristine - I have no idea what the actual changes might be, other than they are going to add 18% gratuity. That was in the labor contract that the unions voted on earlier. Any other changes are just things that were tossed around on that thread. We sort of looked at the benefits and tried to pinpoint things they COULD change. In another thread somebody said you have to spend $300 & some odd to break even on the purchase of the card. We used our card on 4 separate trips so we definitely got our money's worth! If they keep the same basic program we'll do quite well with a new card since we aren't going to have DDP again.

Deb - Fighting with the site to log in.:headache: If I manage to log in I'll vote for you!

Oh, my! DH just said an American flight from MCO to DFW was diverted to Houston because some woman tried to open the emergency exit while the plane was IN THE AIR!!!:scared1: :scared:

STUPID WOMAN!:headache: I would have been so mad if I was on that flight! So I wonder if other passengers can sue that woman in civil court for delaying their flight? I would suffer mental anguish if that happened on my plane. Hmm. Personal injury lawyers work on contingency, don't they? Something to keep in mind if I ever have a crazy on my flight! :)

From the Orlando Sentinel website...

DALLAS - An American Airlines flight from Orlando, Fla., to Dallas-Fort Worth was diverted to Houston on Saturday night after a passenger unsuccessfully tried to open an emergency door.

No one was injured.

The passenger, a woman, was detained by local authorities in Houston, said Charley Wilson, a spokesman for Fort Worth-based American.

Flight 1585, carrying 176 passengers and six crew members, was diverted to Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport after the woman attempted to open an emergency door over one of the wings. She was subdued by the flight crew, Wilson said.

"The crew handled everything. There was no issue with safety whatsoever," Wilson said.

Passengers and crew members were interviewed in Houston. Six passengers got off the plane, since Houston was their destination, and the rest continued to Dallas-Fort Worth on the same plane.

Holy cow ! How scary!

Thanks for the news story, Elin! I can not imagine what would possess someone to open the door in flight. I wonder if she was sitting in the exit row or if she climbed over the people who were sitting there? I like to sit over the wing but NOT in an exit row.

I just got back from the grocery store. Ironically, having tons of food in the house doesn't solve the "What's for dinner?" issue. I think DH decided to make chicken.

I am off work Wednesday. Momboss said her mom will be in town so she took the day off. The 2 of them are going to spend the day with Princess so I am off! Yay! I love freebie days! This job comes with WAY more freebie time than any of my previous jobs. I got off at 3:15 on Friday and now I get the whole day Wednesday. DH is off, too. Maybe we can all have a nice breakfast before DS goes to school. I bought a muffin mix and a dozen eggs, and I think we have a package of bacon. I have a little gift bag for DS for Halloween so we can give that to him.

In the Toys R Us ad today they have that Magnetix I-Coaster that DS wants for $60 (reg. price $80). I need to get him one since that's all he has asked for! DH wants to get him a Wii but we'll have to see about that.

Ok, I need a project. Any good ideas? I'm having a bad night, and Kyle is working all night so I'm just sitting here wallowing. I have about 100 digital scrapping pages I could work on, but that is not motivating me in the slightest. I have no energy because I haven't wanted to eat anything all day, so no working out or anything like that. Or cleaning my house

Who's got some suggestions? :listen:

Bake brownies. Try a new cookie recipe. Google the oddest word you can think of and click "I'm feeling Lucky". Plan your next Disney Trip.

Sometimes I Google names of people I knew in elementary school, just to see if I can find anything on them. Most of the time I can't, but it is a way to pass the time.

Wow, bored.com has changed! I loved that site, so many years ago! I can't get the falling sand thing to work, but I imagine it's like a "toy" (?) my grandmother used to have! I'll have to keep trying it.

Elizabeth, I love googling people I know! :thumbsup2

You could come here and teach me how to digital scrapbook.

Or old boyfriends, just to see what you might have missed. ;)
