The only thing we have planned is CRT for breakfast. The kids want to eat in the castle. I had told them about it from our trip in February and they want to do that now. Otherwise, we don't really have any restaurants picked out.
I don't blame them. Is this their first time going?

For those of you that change resorts during your stays (& don't rent a car), how do you get your bags from one to the other? Our June trip is scheduled to start the day after our anniversary. I'm trying to convince Chuck to go a couple of days early so that we can celebrate our actual anniversary at Disney. It would also allow us to spend two days at POR before transferring to Pop for the week with my girls, mom, sister & her kids.

My nephew was there when he was too little to remember. My niece has never been. My mom went with my sister when my nephew was little. However, they have never "experienced" Disney the right way. I want to make sure that they get that chance.

Thank you. This is the first time Alyssa cleaned her pumpkin. Usually she just colors all over it. I think she succumbed to peer pressure!

We haven't done the PSB dinner, but breakfast is 'family style', if I remember correctly.

PSB breakfast was family style when we did it two years ago. It was great food.

Tammi, I loved the pumpkin pictures.

Elizabeth, I'm with your DS. I hate getting gunk on my hands. It is just totally gross!

I've never done it, but I believe bell services will transfer your bags for you. I think it's a great idea to go down for your anniversary!

My weekend was great, but busy.

Friday I ripped wall paper down, and scrubbed the adhesive down and spackled the walls in my Grandparents bedroom. My Aunt and I showed up at 8am and surprised them, they're like when is this happening and we were like right now. Originally they were supposed to go away for the weekend but the ended up not going because my Great aunt fell and hurt her back and they then couldn't go to her cabin.

After starting that project I ran home, showered, packed and headed off to the church to leave for the camping trip. Oh, yeah did I mention it rained all day and night. We packed the soggy luggage, 12 teenage girls and 4 adults into vehicles and were off to camp. After a quick stop at Pizza hut, we then arrived at the camp. After unpacking our gear into the 19th century 3 story farmhouse, our home for the weekend. Then we had a quick snack, and we eventually settled down for bed.

Of course I didn't sleep much and morning arrived rainy and dreary. Everyone got up after two hours to make breakfast we finally ate. Did some fashion and fitness activities indoors. It looked like it was clearing up. We ate lunch, and they gathered there stuff for an outdoor survival activity. We then moved onto the outdoor survival skills. We taught them how to use a compass, made small survival kits and talked about some survival tips, etc.

Then everybody packed up there stuff and we headed outside to the "site of the plane crash". So we had created a mock scenario and split them into two groups that there was a plane crash. They had to first find water and make it safe for drinking, then they had to build a signal fire, next somebody "hurt their ankle possibly breaking it." They had to travel a bit more and build a shelter, then they had to find their way back to the old farmhouse we were staying in. Basically they were supposed to rely on their compasses, the supplies they had with them and their team members.

By this time the weather had cleared up and the weather was absolutely gorgeous. This took from about 2pm-8pm. It took awhile for them to work together and come up with ways to solve the problems. It didn't help that the camp map is inaccurate and part of the trail is now permanently under lots of water. We asked the camp ranger on Sunday and it turns out the map is 20 years old.:headache:  She said, they are working on updating it. It was also missing a fire ring we planned on using. We ended up hiking up some steep hills to get back on track. By having an unplanned obstacle in the course, it definitely helped them learn to think on their feet. The adults were basically just there to keep them safe.

So then the girls made dinner. Since it was so long since they ate, they ate the salad while they waited for their potatoes and chicken and peach delight to cook. Then some of the girls built a fire and led the Scouts Own ceremony, the adults assigned each girl a camp name and then we made S'mores.

It was a full moon and there was barely a cloud in sight so we went star gazing and discussed how you can use the stars to help you navigate.

Then clean up and off to bed. The night went way to quick and we were up again. The girls made breakfast, packed everything up, cleaned, last minute pictures and we headed home.

I got home around 12:30pm. Got a shower ate some food, around 2pm I headed to Hersheypark for Hersheypark in the dark. I left up there around 8pm and got home recently.

I need to head to bed, as I must go to work tomorrow. Although I am not tired now, I know I will be tomorrow as I have been on the go all weekend and did not sleep much because I just don't when I am responsible for so many others. Although I truly love being able to share my love of the outdoors and camping with others.

Yes they will! When I went in Jan. with my MIL we switched resorts 3 times & had no problems at all. Hope you can work it out to go early for your Anniversary Vicki!

While at Dollar Tree today I ran across some Disney Christmas window clings. They have the Princess', Tinkerbell, Pooh and Friends, and Mickey and Friends.

Evening everyone!

Deb good luck with the contest, a free trip to Disney would be awesome!

Terry I am so happy that we received the Tink pins, there is no way I can trade mine. You had me in tears when we were saying good-bye :sad1: You & Stephanie are a hoot!

Our romantic dinner for our Anniversary was Mc Donalds :rotfl: I did not feel like cooking when I got off work & Gary & I can have a nice meal together in Vegas.

Heidi Scooby-Doo movies are on ABC tonight :thumbsup2

Chanon the only thing I can think of besides food, is a pound of bath salts :confused3 Good luck!

Happy Anniversary!!! You will have a great trip to Vegas and it doesn't really matter when you celebrate.

We are planning our March & June trips. I've booked our flights and room at POR for Feb. 29-March 8. We've picked the dates for the June trip - June 6-14. Unfortunately, we'll not be able to be there when Deb & Chris are which is too bad. We will be staying at Pop Century for that trip. I sure hope that Chuck can relax while we are there! :confused3 However, this trip is for my sister & her kids. I'm so looking forward to seeing Disney through the eyes of a 7 & 10 year old. I was there with my family when my sister was around that age. She wants to ride Dumbo again and recreate a picture of the two of us when we were there last time. :cloud9:

Well that stinks. First no camping and now we are off on the dates :sad1: I guess that means we need to plan another trip

Whew, I'm exhausted just reading this. Get some sleep girl.

Becky sounds like you had a great weekend! Hope you can get some rest tonight.

I seen that too! I will stop tomorrow to see if our store has anything.

Garrett's birthday is Jan. 3rd. How wrong would I be to let him wear a birthday button the last couple of days at Disney during our Dec. trip? His birthday is 6 days after we leave.

That's what I was thinking! I was so hoping to go camping but my sister isn't interested and the dates don't work for them because of the extra curricular activities for the kids.

We'll definitely have to plan another trip (maybe another adults only though I want to meet your kids too).

I say go for it!

I'm wondering the same thing with Nicholas. His bday is the 2nd and we get there on the 9th.

Becky - sounds like you had a busy and fun weekend!

Let him wear it all week. If anyone asks just tell them that this was his birthday trip, but it's a little early. I've even had CMs tell us to celebrate all week.

Evening all...

Janet- Happy Anniversary!!

Tammi- Love the hunkin carving pics.

Becky- Sounds like a fun exhausting weekend!!

Vicki- I think spending your anniversary in WDW sounds lovely. I use to work for Northwest Airlines eons ago. I think they are about the same as all the other out there. The difference in fares would seal the deal for me.

Elizabeth- Enjoy your bonus day off this week!!

Deb- I voted too!! Cute Cute Cute!

Jen- Enjoy the concert tomorrow. Find yourself a good one ;)

Emma had her next to last soccer game and we got killed. I think the score was something like 10-1. It was so cold at the field.

We still need to carve the girl's hunkins. Hopefully it will get done before Halloween. Tomorrow I am taking the girl's to visit my grandmother at the nursing home. The kids get to trick or treat from the residents and then they have a magician put on a show. Eric will enjoy the peace and quiet as tomorrow afternoon he is insuring that I will never have to change my screen name ever again ;)

Here are a couple of pictures from pumpkin in the park
