The Official VILLAS at DISNEYLAND HOTEL (Discovery Tower) Owners and Fans Info Thread

I was wondering if anyone knew if the upgrade to a preferred view villa is worth the cost over the standard view? It is about $100 more a day after tax. It says prefered is views of the pool. It looks like the deluxe villas do not have balconies either. Is the standard view louder than the pool view? That is probably my only real concern, as I would really only be in the room to sleep. Thanks!
To me, it's not worth it for $100/night. It's nice to look out the window and see the pool and other stuff, but I don't spend $100. worth of my time looking out the window.

I personally haven't had more noise in a standard view. The standard view for me was truly concrete and absolutely UGLY to look at. I just chose not to look out the window. I'd save the points and tax to stay standard view.

At $100 I’d stick with standard. It’s a 50/50 chance on what side of the building your preferred will end up on. Standard is a majority on that south-west utility corridor side with some on the rear west wall/street side. Without a balcony, again that price to me not worth a different view. (Look straight down from the window..don’t glance upward or outward..all will be fine).

Thank you! That was the way I was leaning and you helped me make up my mind for sure. Thanks again!

I agree with the above advice. We were in a 1 bedroom (all supposedly premium view) last January and had a view of the DVC pallette pool, but the rest was of residential Anaheim. Not the worst view but not necessarily what I would call premium. We recently stayed in a premium studio and had a great view of the monorail slides, but weren't in the room enough to enjoy it. I say put the $100/night toward something else like a nice meal.

Thank you! That’s what we will do!! I appreciate your help.
