Someone on the family boards posted a picture of the recipe page for me. It doesn't show the whole set up, but you can get an idea from the 3 it does show. Basically, it was set up as 3 rows of 7 cupcakes. The top row was the sky, the middle row, the sea and the bottom row the land. The top had one cupcake with the sun and the rest the sky and clouds. The sea was mostly ocean waves with a few sea animals in it. The land was grass, some flowers and a butterfly.

What a cute idea!!

Abi had a half day at school so she came to my work...she is now removing name tags of people who are longer here at church. I removed over 200 people yesterday from the rolls.

you can have it on....it has to be on viberate. the biggest thing is I called in what is supposed to be her lunch time. She's fine I am sure but I just need to talk to her.

The last 2 weeks have been so stressful and I can't get my major machine at work to work we are working on the second repair right now. We have things to do tonight and one of them is back at LHS tonight for just Cassidy...not us. I am ready to crack.

 I'm sure that she is fine, but I am a worrier, too, so I understand.

Our kids are not supposed to even have cell phones in school at all, though if they are going to an after school sport, they can keep them in their lockers. If they are found using them in school at all, they lose them and a parent is contacted. Both my kids carry cells (and keep them in their lockers), because they do go to practice right after school.

Good Afternoon DDA!

Sorry to have been MIA for awhile, but our computer decided to take a permanent vacation! (hopefully to Disney World;) )

We now have a new computer, and I finally have it all set up! Too bad I lost so much of what was on my old one!:sad1: It was almost 10 years old, and I have been babying it the last year or so, so I knew the time was coming!

My brother who is more computer savvy than I, said that he might be able to retrieve some of my pictures and other things that I have lost! We shall see!

Leighanna had her kindergarten screening, and is all set to start in the fall! She is so excited. She scored above average for her age, and excellent in her speech and language skills!:thumbsup2

We are still unsure of which elementary she will attend. We don't live within walking distance of either school, so they will let us know which one she will attend in the summer. I just don't like NOT knowing!

  Tammi, and Steffy!
Wish my ticker looked like yours!:thumbsup2

Hi, Tom!

I think we're almost in your situation with this computer. I know Alan is looking for something new. I'm trying to get hard copies of everything I have on the computer before it dies! Yikes!!!

Glad Leighanna came through her screening so well! Do you have any feelings about the elementary schools either way? Can you request one above the other? We have 2 elementary schools here, and we can actually have our kids go to either one. However, if we choose to place our kids in the school that's outside our boundaries, they don't have to provide transportation, we'd have to drive them. Luckily, the school we wanted them to go to, is the one within our boundaries. It's actually about 2 and a half miles from our house, so the kids ride the bus. I don't mind though, since the bus stop is visible from my backyard, so I can watch to make sure they make it!

DDA prayers needed

My grandmother has been going to an arthritis Dr. well the Dr. ran some tests. They think my grandmother has bone cancer. She will be 76 in July and is not in the best of health. She sees the cancer Dr. tomorrow. Prayers that the tests are wrong.

You've definitely got my prayers, Jennifer! Please update us when you can.:grouphug:

i agree with you glynis. if someone you see looks like they need help go ask. if they say they dont need help at least you asked. thats the thing with me. me being disabled i always need help getting things. usually i try and see if i can get it then if i cant and people see me struggling to get something or carry something i would hope they would come and help. usually they dont. i think they are afraid they are gonna hurt my feelings or i am gonna yell at them. im not gonna yell at anyone i'll thank them. oh well selfish people.

OMG!!!

I just got a recorded call that LHS has been on lockdown since 9 this morning. :headache:  :scared1: and my baby isn't answering her cell phone. Seems some door knob called in a bomb threat and the kids will get to come home at regular time but I need to talk to my kid!!

Yikes! Prayers that you hear from her soon!

Poor kiddos!! Cassidy got the chicken pox and had to stay inside for over a week in the middle of summer. It was cabin fever in the middle of summer!!
I had the chicken pox the first week of summer vacation after 6th grade. This virus my kids have isn't anything that bad. Just a little itchy the first day. We gave Joe & Lizzy Benedryl but Emma won't take it.

Gary & I go to the lawyers next Wednesday to look over the paperwork for the house & sign if all looks good :yay:

Have a great day all!
:cool1:

Thanks Janet!

Our old computer didn't have a cd burner, so I did transfer alot of pics to photobucket so I would have them. I didn't get a chance to do them all though!
:grouphug: I'm so sorry Tom!

:grouphug: Prayers for your grandmother!

I just got done reading the whole letter and it does make me feel better that the lockdown has been lifted but the whole campus has been restricted access since last fall's threats and will continue to be that way....You shouldn't have to feel nervous about sending your kids to school.

I NEED to talk to Cassidy.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Nope I wouldn't call the school I want those lines to be clear but I swear I don't think I can handle one more thing today.:guilty:

Take a deep breath! I'm sure everything will be fine! I'm praying as hard as I can for you!

anything except my kids, work, trips, the dumb house loan....

that doesn't leave much does it???:rotfl2:

Your weekend trip with your friend. (whoops)

Going to WDW. (whoops)

The weather. Phooey!!!!!!

Well that sucks!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Jennifer, sorry to hear about your grandmother.

 and :wizard: to you! I hope your Grandma is OK!

Deep breaths, Theresa. It sounds like they have everything under control and are sending the kids home. I'm sure she is not answering because all the towers are overloaded. I would advise not to call the school because every parent might be trying to do that. Let the school keep their lines clear so they can do what they need to do. :grouphug: and :wizard:

I hope you are able to talk to her soon!

Bernadette - The Dr. says she thinks Sister has Fifth disease, which I recall from DS seems to crop up this time of year. But her rash is raised, which doesn't seem like Fifth's to me. Anyway, they said she is fine, can go to school and whatever.

Glynis - That was so thoughtful of you to help the lady at the grocery! I saw 2 little ladies at my grocery recently who needed some help getting some frozen foods from the top shelf. They told me they used to be taller!:rotfl: Really, how hard is it to help someone reach an item on a shelf? My grocery also has a HUGE push to be VERY customer oriented. They have to speak to you if they are within like 8 feet, if you ask for an item they have to offer to walk to it with you (not just tell you where it is), and when you check you they ask if you found everything you needed. It's actually almost suffocating sometimes!

Brother is exhausted but he is insisting on being a donkey so he isn't going to get any sort of nap today. He is in his room throwing things. We have to leave in 30 minutes to take Sister to cooking. Sometimes I will take Brother for ice cream while she is in class, but NOT today! He is being a demon!

One of the moms from Taekwondo asked me to babysit tonight. They have tickets to "Wicked" and the girl they lined up to sit got the days confused and ended up backing out on them. More money for WDW, and another reference if I find myself in need of more!:thumbsup2

Prayers and :wizard: coming her way!

Sorry I bailed on you, Theresa, but I got busy. :(

Thank you for posting the link to that MSNBC tribute. It was quite sad, but a wonderful reminder that this tragedy at VT really DID happen. It was a great time to sit and think on nothing else, but to lift up those families in prayer. :sad1:
