I am afraid that with the VT shooting and the fact the Columbine anniversary is this Friday...there will be some lockdowns at high schools this week around us. Columbine is in unicorporated Littleton....about 2 miles straight up from the street from us.

I hesitate to say this to you as I'm a little late thinking of it.....did you order your polos yet? I was going to suggest you may want buy a boy's for yourself. I agree with Elizabeth that there sizes are crazy. I bought Joe a size S t-shirt for our Dec and I bet it would fit you.

Off to the Dr. with Sister because she has some wicked mystery rash all over her face!

Joe had a rash on his face, chest, and back a few weeks ago. Had no fever and felt fine- a bit itchy so we sent him to school. The nurse called and told DH to come get him. DH said at least 4 other kids were waiting to be picked up with the same virus. We didn't bring him the Dr. I didn't want him in the sick room with really sick kids and I knew they couldn't do anything for a virus. Joe missed almost a week of school. Now Lizzy & Emma have it. At least they aren't missing school because its vacation but they've been stuck in the house with the rain and DH can't bring them to library with that rash.

It supposed to clear this weekend and be really nice for the kids to go back to school on Monday.

Oh, Elin - I am so relieved to hear this. I saw a montage of photos of all those that were killed, and I was so hoping that one of those pictures was not Chris!

Oh lastly, I must pout. I have to interview an intern Friday. So, she needs a desk. I have 2 or 3 desks just piled. So my boss told me I had to clean up an area for my intern. So....I was at work holding a bottle of Windex, and a dust cloth. Moving books. Clearing off desk space. Looking like Hazel the maid. Got the only smile from Terry all day.... If she smiles again, I do it tomorrow.

Can I just say that your posts always make me smile, Stephanie? Even more so when I see posts from you and Terry talking about your friendship. You guys have a special one, indeed.

I think you are right, Heidi. I am not so certain it is stupidity so much as the current trend of feeling as if *I* am the most important person in the world and *my* needs are much more important than anyone else's. Our kindness and thoughts for our fellow man seem to have gone by the wayside. It is a sad direction our society is going.

Lindsay -- just wanted to tell you to have a great time in case I don't get back on again before your last post before your trip. I'd love to see some pics when you get back.

Good news -- I did get a lot of closet stuff done last night! I have a lot of clothes and some shoes in my car to take to the re-sale shop today. I even cleaned out some of my things, which are the wrong size and/or are dressy outfits that I've worn as many times as I can. I did manage to get in to some dust, and sneezed my head off last night. I can tell another sinus infection is coming on, so I'm all doped up on allergy/sinus stuff hoping to stave it off!

Jake has soccer practice at 6 and Andrew has a game at 7:30 (Yuck, but I can't say anything about it to the coach -- he rescheduled one of the make-up games for this week because Andrew had no baseball games and could play in the soccer game. We have no baseball games because it's TAKS test week...)

I may actually be able to post from Kauai! I'm taking a laptop with me, we'll have free wi-fi, and I'm definitely planning on doing some DIS'ing and planning for our Dec. trip while relaxing. Planning a Disney trip is one of my favorite pastimes, after all!

I hope Jake and Andrew's practices/games go well tonight. Good work on the closet, and so sorry to hear about the dust. At least it looks like we're in for nice spring-like weather for the next few days!

I am signed up with Travelocity to get notices about particular cities. You can set up something like 10 sets of cities and ask it to notify you if the price does something in particular. Mine are all set up to tell me if the prices drop below a certain amount. You can also set it up to tell you if the price just drops regardless of the amount or something else that I can't remember. I get notices for any city we regularly travel to/from and Boston is still being sent to me as well. I don't usually actually book through Travelocity. When I get the notice and want to use a price, I will always try the airlines website first. If I can get the same price through them, then I book directly. If I can't get the same price, then I will go through Travelocity.

I do have to say though, the DING fares are what is killing me. I keep getting $60 each way fares to Orlando and can't use them.

Me, too! That and FareCompare help me keep an eye on fares to the places I travel to most often. They come in quite handy (although they don't include Southwest, so you have to keep a separate eye on the sales and DING fares with them).

Poor kiddos!! Cassidy got the chicken pox and had to stay inside for over a week in the middle of summer. It was cabin fever in the middle of summer!!

Good Afternoon DDA!

Sorry to have been MIA for awhile, but our computer decided to take a permanent vacation! (hopefully to Disney World )

We now have a new computer, and I finally have it all set up! Too bad I lost so much of what was on my old one! It was almost 10 years old, and I have been babying it the last year or so, so I knew the time was coming!

My brother who is more computer savvy than I, said that he might be able to retrieve some of my pictures and other things that I have lost! We shall see!

Leighanna had her kindergarten screening, and is all set to start in the fall! She is so excited. She scored above average for her age, and excellent in her speech and language skills!

We are still unsure of which elementary she will attend. We don't live within walking distance of either school, so they will let us know which one she will attend in the summer. I just don't like NOT knowing!

Bernadette, I have ordered the polo's & they have been shipped. I figured if they don't fit, I have time to return them & reorder. Garrett is going through a major growth spurt, I can't keep up on his size's. I ordered him the next size up than what he wears now, so hopefully his will fit of come Dec.

Lindsay your trip is almost here, I know you will have a blast!

My grandmother has been going to an arthritis Dr. well the Dr. ran some tests. They think my grandmother has bone cancer. She will be 76 in July and is not in the best of health. She sees the cancer Dr. tomorrow. Prayers that the tests are wrong.

The Cleveland Zoo has pandas now?! I know where we are going this summer! I love the Cleveland Zoo, and it's past time for a trip there anyway, but the pandas really seal the deal.

On my May trip I'm planning on taking a boat service to the airport. I just checked the Sunday schedule and the 11:00 am boat will get me to the airport at 11:25. The next boat isn't until 12:30 and arrives at 12:55. I think that's a bit too late for a 2:00pm flight. SO.....I will be at Logan Airport on my birthday, waiting to go to Disney at:

I was thinking I might be at MK because it's open til midnight that night but my Auditor friend that's going with me pointed out that it would actualy be 5/7/7 by then. Still not thinking real clearly with this head cold.
