I agree. When I was staying with my mother, we were at the store doing some food shopping, and as we wandered down the aisles, I noticed an elderly woman in a motorized shopping cart. She was trying to get something from the top shelf, and no one was helping her. Several store employees walked right by her without asking if they could help. I just couldn't stand it! I went up to her and asked if I could help. I got down the item she needed, and she sat back with tears in her eyes. She'd been trying to get some help for about a half an hour. She was about 85 years old, and was just worn out with trying to do her shopping. Mom and I got her set up in the deli department of the store with a drink, and we took her list and did her shopping for her. What's wrong with people? My parents brought me up to help out where I could see a need. I'm trying to do that with my kids, so I hope the lessons take. I would hope that someone would help my elderly mother if I wasn't around to take care of her! We need to get over the "my needs are greater than anyone else's" mentality!

That just prove what I already knew, You are a nice person. I wish that there were more people like you out there. You are correct that it seems like everyone is out for themselves.

well i probably wont be around too much tonigth--didnt ahve the best day at school and im just really blah tonight..good thing its almost Friday!!

I've been blah all day too. I'm glad that the weekend is almost here. Maybe I'll get to spend a little time with Chris. This passing in the night stuff really sucks.

Our polo shirts arrived today & I am happy to say I ordered just the right sizes for us all! Garrett & Riley have some wiggle room for growth spurts :thumbsup2 We are ready for Christmas :rotfl: I think this is the quickest I have ever received an order from Disneyshopping.

Thanks for being there for me this afternoon everybody!!

Cassidy said she was getting ready to get her phone out to call me when it happened but everybody else in the classroom did...and as she said "THEY WEREN'T EVEN GOING TO CALL THEIR PARENTS". :confused3 So the teacher threatened to take all of them away...she didn't want to lose her phone.

We went over what to do if there is one tomorrow(quite a few local high schools are not even holding classes tomorrow...8th anniversary of Columbine) if she is off campus...she is to come straight home.

Who would have thunk we would ever have to have these conversations with their kids. :guilty:

Garrett's hat that he wears at Disney has pins on it of Pooh & the gang. The only pin he was missing was Christopher Robinson. I finally found one on Ebay & won it for $1 :cool1: He will be so happy!

I am sorry the blah's are going around....hopefully the weekend will perk us up.

COOOL BEANS!!

That poor woman. I would have made a big stink to the manger about the employees just walking by and not offering to help.

Oh, I did! It really irked me! No one deserves to be treated like that, especially someone that old, who obviously needs help!

Hi Janet,

I will be happy to look for this pin for you.:goodvibes

Only thing, I'm going to have to look at ebay for some traders. I don't have one trader.

And our Disney store stopped selling pins.

I don't know how "nice" I am! Just ask my kids.:lmao:

I'm sorry that you feel blah! Never a good thing. I'll cross my fingers for some time with Chris! Alan and I did the passing in the night thing for a while, and it was no fun!!!

Well, I spent the better part of the evening at the doctor's with Jacob. Poor little guy began complaining of ear pain at about 5:00 this afternoon. I didn't think much of it, but he kept complaining, and at about 7:30 tonight he was in so much pain he was crying. I took him to the after hours clinic in our neighborhood, and the doctor tried to take a look. Poor little guy has such a build up of ear wax that he couldn't even see the ear drum. He literally had to chisel away at it, and it hurt him so badly! I felt so terrible!!! Anyway, the good news is that it doesn't look like an infection, so he's on Motrin unless it gets worse. We also have to give him eardrops to loosen the wax. He'll have to go back in a couple of days to have his ears flushed out. Ick!!!

Luckily, we had a good day up until then! We worked in the yard all day. We got our garden plot tilled up, an arbor built for our grape vines, cut back the raspberry bushes, and put together a yard swing! It's starting to look really nice in the backyard! After dinner we took the kids to Cabela's to watch the fish feeding! It's really something. First they give the fish pellets, then worms, and finally goldfish! It's incredible to watch. Then we went to the upstairs shooting gallery and spent some time (and money) practicing our "shooting" Predictably, Alan beat the pants off all of us. We made a quick stop in the Cabela's "general store" for some yummy fudge, and it was off to home.

Of course, by that time Jacob was not doing well, so the evening was kind of a bummer. Poor guy. I have to wake him up every 4 hours for more Motrin, so I predict not much sleep for any of us. He's snuggled down in my bed right now, and he looks so cute. Luckily, he's a still sleeper, so at least I won't end up with sore kidneys!

How was everyone else's day?

Thank you Stephanie!

When the boys were trying on their shirts, Riley asked "is it Dec. yet?". He is ready to do now :rotfl: I know I have the Oct. trip, but I can't wait for Dec. & Christmas with my family at Disney. It will be so magical!

Hey there!

Grandma has been staying with us, so my computer time has been even more limited than usual. We had a great day out at the zoo on Tuesday and a fun day in at the Children's Museum yesterday. Today, was a cold, rainy day, and other than a quick trip to Kroger, we stayed in.

Tomorrow is Matthew's 9-month-well appointment!

Which reminds me, thank you for all the compliments on the pictures I posted last weekend while I was at my mom's house.
