Sure wish we were sailing with you and your DD again. We had so much fun on the Med cruise! We still love the item you passed out to everyone that first night! (I won't say what it was in case you're doing it again this time.) We're on the 3rd Baltic sailing with the same itinerary as yours, so we will definitely be following every second of your blog!

Have you heard if they found more Mickey bars?!? :confused3

me too MJ! Hope the 2 of you have as much fun as you had on the Med Cruise...we were great table mates weren't we!!! ;)
Can't wait to read your blog...you are so brave....:surfweb:

Have heard that because they use European suppliers when the ship is in Europe that they may not get Mickey bars. On the Med cruise in 2007 they had pirate bars, not Mickeys.

"If you don't know what you're doing, at least act like you do"

Something I've always believed in. Nothing screams vulnerable tourist like standing around looking confused. Another friend of mine was in the Air Force and he told me they used to tell him to "Walk with a purpose". Meaning, even if you're just ambling along, you should look like you have a destination in mind and are enroute to that destination.

Thus, I always try to look knowledgeable as I walk through airports, or disembark from the ship, and walk past all the peddlers like I'm used to seeing them every day.

As for blogging, I don't blog. But I'll probably tweet a bit on Twitter using #BalticCruise as my hash tag.

I was hoping that those of you who are going on the earlier Baltic cruises could let us on the later ones know how Disney handles the St Petersburg disembarktion on the first day. Have heard that other cruiselines can be really difficult about those that book private tours in St Petersburg.

WOW! I hope that's not the case. That could make for some very frustrated passengers trying to get off the ship. :sad2::rolleyes1 Plus it could put some people in a time bind if they are doing a 1/2 day private excursion on day 1 in StP and a Disney excursion in the evening:headache::confused: It certainly will be good to hear what the first couple of Baltic cruisers have to say. :surfweb: I am just now in the process of locking in our private excursion in StP and it requires pre-payment :headache::rolleyes1

We are also on the 24 Jun cruise and I will be reading your blog everyday!

Thanks and here's hoping you have lots of fun (just not so much that you don't have time to write, hehe):thumbsup2pirate:

We are with a group using SPB Tours and they have not asked for any pre-payment. They have sent our tour tickets to get off the Magic and will be paid when we meet in St. Pete. So.... :confused3

We are using TJ Tours and there is no prepayment, they ask to be paid on the second day.

What company are you using that requires prepayment? I haven't heard of any company that requires that over there.

We are going with Anastasia this time, but last time we went with Denrus and seems like we had to pay in advance. Or maybe we just had to give her a credit card ??

Yes, that would be great information. We are booked on a private tour in St. Petersburg on the July 18th sailing, so we're anxious to hear how that goes for the earlier cruises.

Would love if someone who's taking the DCL transportation from London Hotel to port would report on how it worked out-check in, pick up, type of transportation, how long a drive etc.
