When it comes down to it when it was first launched in 2019 Disney+ had a goal and that goal was to give fans the chance to see every Disney movie Pixar movie Marvel movie and Star Wars movie on there without fans reaching for DVDs as well as developing their own original shows that were exclusive to them. For Star Wars Marvel and Pixar this meant that it might be the end of new Star Wars Marvel and Pixar movies down the road. But when The Mandalorian debuted on Disney+ as their first Star Wars exclusive original series it won tons of fans and made a celebrity out of Baby Yoda "Grogu" and based on that Disney+ was happy and then created other Star Wars series like Obi-Wan Kenobi Andor Aksoka Skeleton Crew and the failed The Arcolyte series. And for Marvel once Wandavision came out it started out as a good series but you can see why Wandavision recieved stellar reviews but at least it launched the character Agatha Harkness into her own series and the same thing with the upcoming Vision Quest in 2026/27. Once that they saw how Wandavision worked they repeated the same thing with Hawkeye and when Hawkeye debuted in November of 2021 Hawkeye received good ratings but like Wandavision Hawkeye set the storyline for the character Echo by launching Echo but even though Hawkeye was good it gave Jeremy Renner huge star power. But with Loki having Tom Hiddleston reprise the role of Loki was enough to give the show a second season. But when Marvel Disney+ shows started to go downhill was with the debut of Ms. Marvel and despite it's poor ratings Ms. Marvel struggled and once Ms. Marvel ended they repeated with She-Hulk Attorney At Law and if you see this show you can understand why it failed. And when Secret Invasion premiered it too failed and with Daredevil Born Again and Ironheart poorly received this meant as R&B group Boyz II Men say in their 1991 ballad "And so we come to the end of the road" for Marvel TV shows. On the Pixar side you can blame the straight to Disney+ treatment of Onward and Soul for the downfall of anything Pixar on Disney+ and once Luca was given the same treatment Pixar has focused on short original cartoons based on Up and Soul and they launched Monsters at Work and the hugely successful Cars On The Road series we saw a new image of Pixar for Disney+. What I mainly think in all honesty Pixar Marvel and Star Wars want to leave Disney+ and air their movies on Netflix or Starz and what about The Muppets shows and movies too? Will they be the next franchise to be hurt by Disney+ in the future as well?
