Fall 2026 itineraries

Well it look like no again for today. I cannot wait any longer. We have a bidding window that is coming up for vacation for next year. We are looking at a river cruise. I am not sure what Disney is doing but they are losing long time guess and it starting to show more and more that they don’t care. I presently have 3 DVC contracts and also thinking about selling those off too.

I can tell you they aren't doing a River Cruise... sounds like fun.

I don't think it's because Disney doesn't care, I think they are scrambling to make changes and adjust to market conditions they see developing, that they weren't planning on facing.

DVC Contracts... I have to say outside of the DVC specific cruises, I don't see point being of value with DCL. And my view of WDW has changed a little, and have move to doing other things with the family. But you might try renting them for a few years...

I understand why they're holding off until they finalize what they're doing with the Wonder, but the other part of me is going, release what you have in batches or by ship. It's a lose-lose situation....holding off means losing potential sales, but a staggered release means nobody does anything until they see what all the ships are doing.

There is a theory that they are going to be announcing them at D23 like they did last year as they have a DCL panel arranged for it.

D23 is the end of August....I really hope they aren't waiting that long as booking wont be until the 1st week of Sept at earliest

Traditionally they don't make big announcements at Destination D23 like they do at the D23 Expo. It'd be weird to hold onto it for that.

I think this is a big part of it. Australia. Then the whole Florida market isn’t doing as they expected except for the Treasure and presumably the Destiny. You have to think they must be working on some new itineraries in FL otherwise the other ships will continue to flounder

The vast majority of the population does not plan vacations ~16+ months in advance. I do not think a delay in releasing leads to any significant drop in bookings. This message board is certainly not a representative sample of the larger populous.
I couldn't agree more. I think this board is more representative of people that can't stand not having a vacation booked.

Do we know the Wonder is definitely not going back to Australia?

Treasure bookings are strong, but I think that is because it is a new ship. Wish, now three years old is having serious booking problems...

I cannot imagine they can wait too much longer, but maybe they will... I feel like they have to at least allow for 13 months of bookings given the placeholder thing...

Despite another thread on the boards saying the AUS cruises are done after this upcoming season, we don't know that for sure yet. All we know is that the Wonder has been taken off the Melbourne AUS schedule for late 2026 and there is a big gap between early Nov 2026 and late Dec 2026.

I know that typically they dont. They have only done so last year when they announced the new ships and the Fall 25 itineraries, as far as I'm aware. I said similar in return to someone when they suggested D23 after it being pointed out that anything after the 14th Aug would be a clash (if they announce them week after, bookings will open D23 week) and the longest between same season announcements.

However, people who have experienced D23 (not me) and seem to know what panels or whatever there are this year think that they are holding out for D23. I'm just adding the theory into this board as I havent seen anyone else say it.

My hope still remains with announcement by or before 14th Aug.

You're right, we're not the majority. I would guess that anyone following this thread is not the "average" cruiser. And yes, our schedules are not traditional. I'm not suggesting that Disney open up schedules just for my family; however, it does not change the fact that we have a placeholder that has to be used by January '27 and we've already bid all of our vacation for this year. By Labor Day, we will have bid all of our vacation for next year. If Disney does not release itineraries before then, we will not be able to use the placeholder, and will have to go with a different vacation option that won't be Disney. I understand, that we are a very small minority that have schedules like this, but our feelings of frustration are valid just the same.

Is it? I was on the Wish in late February for two cruises and they were both almost full at 4000 passengers. This was the last week of February, so it should have been after the northeast's winter break and before most schools have spring break.

Why can't you use your placeholder that expires in 5 months?
