I'm making punch for Christmas eve (cause I LOVE my punch bowl ).......and I found a recipe for cream soda but couldn't find any....anyone heard of it?

no, but I have made that lime green punch someone mentioned the other day. It's lime sherbet, pineapple juice and Sprite. It's yummy!

I'm finding the USPS is in super slow motion this season. I've ordered stuff that has left the shipping place nearly a week ago and it still hasn't gotten here. Kind of like your Barbie...making the rounds, I guess.

I forget, do the boys have school tomorrow & Tuesday, or are they done? I think that would factor in for me.

Mine are off until Jan 5th. (they were supposed to have school friday but we got snowed out!)

Fly By post got to go to work on second job and we are due a BLIZZARD !! DD is not happy with me for agreeingto work, but when I did I didn't forsee a BLIZZARD !! So say some prayers for me it is a lond drive and on a bad road at the end !!!

The boys returned from shopping around 2 pm. I grabbed my stuff and jumped in the truck as soon as they came in. I figured I'd do some shopping since we aren't going to the movie tonight. The weather is awful. Freezing cold, windy and we are getting 4 more inches of snow on top of our 14 inches since Friday!!!
SD yelled out to me before I even got out the driveway. He wanted a ride to a friends. So, I did that and then went to do some shopping. I got most of my stocking stuffers done, a couple of gifts for the boys and one or two for Bob. It was mobbed with people everywhere I went, no parking spots and with this wind, it was getting really OLD walking across parking lots! So, I came home again.

Bob's making scrambled eggs for dinner. Yum. I'm going to wrap some gifts when the boys go to bed later. SD needs a ride home at 8 but Bob's getting him. Whew.

I actually got something from Amazon that took 10 days...on it was written a note "found in truck 12/18". Nice. Very nice. They usually ship UPS. I have no idea why they went with USPS for some of their stuff.

What did you decide on for Bob?

He requested The Simpson's Season 3 on DVD (got it on sale at Borders for 29.99 and then had a $10 gift card, so Yay!) Also, a gift card to Kohl's (he likes to buy his OWN clothes) and an itunes card.
The boys are getting him a portable speaker for his Ipod so he can listen to his music in the shower....

And we got him TONS of little things for his stocking.

Thanks for all of the remarks about Emilie's Blog and condition. It truly puts things into a different perspective this holiday. Our wish for her and her family is peace.

My baking went well. I am totally exhausted today. I haven't figures out if it is Disney Depression, the blizzard and negative temps or from all of the hard work yesterday. We ended up making 6 kinds of cookies, all are very good. I am going to make some cutouts with my kids tomorrow too.

My kids and DH went skiing all day yesterday and on the way home I emailed him a list of things to buy at the store on his way home. He literally came home with a bag full of things that were WRONG and I sent him back today to get the correct items. Example: I asked for Chex mix, he came home with traditional...but we always buy cheese. I asked for 2 bags of good milk choco chips, he came home with 2 giant bags of semi sweet... And the list went on and on. Why do men do that stuff?

Wow CE--you got some snow. BA is hoping for a white Christmas but so far looks like a COLD one.

Yeah, it's pretty. It just won't stop. I was waiting to do the snowblowing until it stops, but that's looking like midnight. Guess it will be in the morning - at least, if the boys have school, they'll take the bus and I don't have anywhere I HAVE to go until after noon.

TE, I sent it through the USPS. All the tracking says is "12/17 received" I don't like how they don't update the progress like UPS or FedEx. I mean is it still in NC? Did it take a detour through FL? Half way up the mountain?

See, this is my whole issue with the package to my FIL and stepMIL. I mailed it MONDAY, Prioirty. It has not arrived, and even on the phone, all they would say is, "Well, it shows you mailed it Monday." I know that. Where is it NOW??? I am way spoiled by the stop by stop checks on UPS or FedEx. GRRRR. FIL called this afternoon and said it was fine, just something for them to look forward to, but I hate looking disorganized, especially when I WASN'T.

I read it today. I have to say, she sounds very sure and strong, and so it must be right. It's going to be hard on everyone, though. Many, many .

Hello all...I am about to start on Bake Fest 2008...as late as it is...because we were slow moving today. I am still to tired to bake but I can't do christmas without the cookies so I shall bake!

I found out my grandparents aren't coming up for Christmas due to my grandfathers bad back. Its the first Christmas without them here and now we have to spend it with my aunt whom I don't really like. Thank god for my cousins who will occupy us all day!

So hopefully I can get all caught up tomorrow before the bake fest continues. Tonight who knows how much I will actually get done.

When we lived in Texas, the schools were only allowed to have "holiday" celebrations, so Ab learned Christmas/Hannakah, and Kwanzaa songs (I think they must have made some up for that! )
But she had a cute song about spinning the driedel!

In this school district, they go to Bible class and have Christmas parties as we are not very diverse here....well, 'cept for the Methodists vs Baptists.

It's going to be 18 here tomorrow



Jim loves cream soda. You should be able to find it in the regular soda aisle. A&W has a Cream Soda, but we usually just get the store brand!

We are snowed in once again, been snowing all day. I won't post pictures as CE's are much prettier.

Ran to the mall this afternoon after shoveling the driveway as the sports store was having a sale on their running shoes (buy one pair get the second 50% off). Erich and I were both in need of new runners so we took advantage and saved $30 each.

When we got home we once again had to shovel the driveway and then have shoveled it again since then. That is three times today if you are counting. I am sure it will need another shovel in the morning but it won't be so bad as we kept on top of it throughout the day.

Yeah, you really have to be OK driving in it. I would have gone somewhere today if I had anything that really needed doing. It wasn't SO bad, and the snow is better than the ice.
