Wow fantastic, well done Jimmy :thumbsup2

Thanks Jo:goodvibes

We had a lovely lunch with our friends, then the girls had to sing in a Carol Service and we're now sitting here munching Christmas candy :rotfl2:

Sounds like fun!

:thumbsup2

I don't think so - last year we just kept going and going... I did hear that the school can apply to the state to NOT make up the ice storm days, since NH was under a "state of emergency." I've not heard if they are going to, and therefore not if it would be approved.

Hopefully they will do that!

Hi everyone! :goodvibes

I'm several pages behind; anyone have a summary? popcorn::

I'm bit too fried at the moment to do much beyond sit and veg. Where's the couch-potato smiley when you need it? We had our temple's Chanukah party today! party:

I was in charge. :headache: :scared: :headache: I've been running since around 8 this morning, and the event ran from 11 until about 1. We had a successful event including lunch for 85 or so people, games and crafts for the kids, hold 'em dradel for the adults, singing, and a menorah contest. Thankfully it's over :woohoo:, and I'll know to run faster next year. :laughing: I think the most stressful part was getting the supplies purchased before hand. I had two people who were to help with purchasing who were unable to help, so I was running to stores Thursday, Friday and this morning getting supplies.

In any case, I wanted to stop in and say hi to everyone and send happy Chanukah wishes to any of my Focker friends celebrating! :yay: I'm off to help Jenny make some preparations for our family's first night celebration tonight!

One last thought as I think I'm beginning to ramble, someone really needs to issue a universal transliterated spelling of Chanukah. I can't keep them all straight, and I've actually spelled Chanukah at least five different ways today that I can recall. Yes, I'm definitely rambling. :rolleyes1

TTFN! :wave:

There's a commercial version if you hit one of the Web search sites. I came up with something home grown. I'll e-mail you my word document of the rules. :goodvibes

As for a summary there hadn't been much going on. Everyone has been on a snow watch with CE and Mel, but mostly everyone has been just doing quick check ins in between doing all the last minute holiday stuff.

TE, did you not get a package yesterday? :confused:

Nope--not yet.........just cards so far. Mail is kinda slow out here tho.

It's suddenly COLD here.......gusts of wind.......I'm blaming Canada...........where IS Lessa anyway???

Wow CE--you got some snow. BA is hoping for a white Christmas but so far looks like a COLD one.

So what's up? Everyone wrapping and cooking???
I'm making punch for Christmas eve (cause I LOVE my punch bowl :goodvibes ).......and I found a recipe for cream soda but couldn't find any....anyone heard of it?

Ok my Jewish friends.........I've seen 2 ways to spell the December holiday......so which one is right??? And why 2 different ways?

I read somewhere that there are 16 different spellings. I spell it differently all of the time. :rotfl:

Ok my Jewish friends.........I've seen 2 ways to spell the December holiday......so which one is right??? And why 2 different ways?

There are many ways. There's no right way and no wrong way. Jews like options. :lmao:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm at the motha's house.
We'll be off for a Hanukkah party tonight. Then we're going to the River of Lights...which is a light display down at the botanical gardens.
:cool1:
Busy evening. But, fun fun fun!
:hug: to everyone!
Off to play dreidels with Jon and Lexie!
::yes:: Jim loves cream soda. You should be able to find it in the regular soda aisle. A&W has a Cream Soda, but we usually just get the store brand!
Ok, off to work. We're doing our own work party those of us who work on the weekends. :woohoo:
Later!
TE, I sent it through the USPS. All the tracking says is "12/17 received" I don't like how they don't update the progress like UPS or FedEx. I mean is it still in NC? Did it take a detour through FL? Half way up the mountain?
Z your photos are great, the Christmas decorations and the lighting of the Castle are just awesome aren't they :goodvibes
