Hi Jodi.. Since you are Not on Facebook yet... Here are some pictures I just put up

How pretty! I hope your anniversary was happy! :flower3:

Just heard from DH who has just checked in with his mom. The doctors are now saying that she does NOT have any fractures in her vertabrae (very good thing). The vertabrae are just twisted. So, she is back in the mechanical traction for two hours at a time and they're hoping that she'll go home on Monday. When she goes home, she'll still have to wear the collar, but it's better than staying in the hospital. So, a bit of good news for us today! :yay:

That's great Jodi! Awesome game last night, huh? :cheer2:

Well, I thawed out 4 large burgers for supper.......put them on the counter to DIS a bit.........then came back and they were GONE..........found bits of plastic all over the floor and a very happy Bear prancing around. :headache:

A Christmas treat early! :goodvibes Our dog did that when we were younger but it was a chocolate birthday cake. ;)

We hare heading out early to got o South Philly for all the Christmas Eve Shopping. THen we are picking up the principal of Jim's old school and taking her to lunch. (She is the one who was willing to take Jimmy at her school when he got kicked out of the other H*** Hole!) Have a good evening and Sunday everybody!:goodvibes

Have a good time Janet! :thumbsup2

I am, just worried about Monday's flight really going, then running into Christmas Eve and such.

Oh, I hope not! Mitch has to work both days too, but at least he comes home at night.

Well, I think it finally stopped snowing. It's supposed to start again at around 7:00 in the morning.
:scared: How many inches is that now?

I'm burnt out - didn't even read past this last page. We made 12 dozen tamales. I was the paper wrapper, 'cause the whole process grosses me out. I'm all tamaled out - I need a shower to get the stink off. I smell like a freakin' corn field. Blech! :scared:

:rotfl2:

He also got me a GORGEOUS sapphire/diamond ring!

Oh, I love jewelry! :goodvibes

a shirt that says "No I won't fix your computer!"
:rotfl:

The party was great! Delish food and great company. It ended up being 9 of us, and then Peggy's two middle children. Her daughter is dating a young man who's in the Marines and was home for Xmas. Nice kid!!! Ah, young love...:lovestruc

How fun! Reid loved the banana oatmeal cookies. :thumbsup2

"That is so 80's"...

You're teaching him well, LL. :lmao:

I'm checking in before we take off on our trip! To see...the motha. :faint:

Be careful and have fun. MIne come tomorrow for 17 days!

Tonight we're meeting some friends at the Brown Derby for dinner. One of my favorites. :goodvibes I know MGM will be crazy but hopefully we can get a good place to see the lights.

haven't seen it yet. why is it so bad?
It's pretty slow and the story line is just bleh :rotfl2:

Just had a nice lunch with 2 sets of friends, 1 lot we haven't seen for 2 years which was great to catch up. The girls are singing in an hour, they're actually meant to be at rehersals now but we got back from lunch too late :rotfl2:

I'm so glad, Angela! My kids love them still, but they were their FAVE when they were little.

Hope you and NotMitch had fun tonight! That sounds so fun. Can't wait to see you guys in January!

Well, in the time since my last post, I've cleaned the whole main level. Got my 80's Sirius station on! (NOMichael....LOL)
Bob and the boys had pancakes (I bought a can of Cinnamon Graham Cracker pancake mix from Williams Sonoma, $9 but worth every penny. Plenty to feed 4 hungry people!) Then they went out and shovelled the driveway AGAIN. The plow STILL hasn't been by the house. Thank Goodness we have 4WD!!!

Tonight I am going to ask Bob if he'd like to take the boys to see Bond. I want to see Twilight before it leaves the theatre but I don't know when I'll get to do that. :confused3 Oh well.

Now that the house is clean, it's painfully obvious that I'M NOT. LOL. Gotta go shower peeps.
Happy Hanukkah to ALL who celebrate....

LY guys!

MEL:banana:
BTW: I also disliked Golden Compass......not a good movie!

Oh, I hope not! Mitch has to work both days too, but at least he comes home at night.

Yeah, I don't know. His co-pilot and the flight attendant were supposed to be on a red-eye tonight that's already been canceled. They managed to buy them another ticket on United rather than American, leaving supposedly an hour after D tomorrow morning (I have to assume that they didn't have 3 seats on either flight, because they usually try to have the crew go together...) I'm not loving the red eye being canceled, though - and I'm sure planes are no where near where they are supposed to be. :headache:

:scared: How many inches is that now?

I think there's about a foot out there total at the moment and it's nearly blizzarding - no visibility, and it's only 14. :scared1:

Will you go, or stay home and get stuff done? I often send D out for "fun things" with the boys, and he thinks I'm missing out, but for me it's nice to have the free time. ;)

I hope D makes it home for Monday! It's terrible to be at the mercy of the weather!

I don't know yet. That's something that I do too, and Bob says the same. I don't really care if I see stuff on the "big screen" though so it's all good to me. I do have a TON of stuff still to get done. I might go with them to the mall (movie theatre is there) and shop while they watch the movie. Don't know yet!

I shoveled the path about an hour ago and it's probably got an inch on it. I also got a lot off the deck - we don't probably need a lot of extra weight on it right now, though D has it braced well. I haven't snowblowed the driveway yet - I figure that I don't need to go anywhere and I might as well wait until it's closer to being over. :thumbsup2 They've got the warning ending at 6:00 - of course, the snow Friday was supposed to end by midnight and it ended at 8:00 Saturday night, so...

I forget, do the boys have school tomorrow & Tuesday, or are they done? I think that would factor in for me. ;)

Back from our errands. I got 2 doz. Manicotti, scallops, flounder, and 2 lobster tails! Anyone know how to cook lobster tails?

Then we went and picked up Sister Lawrence (JIm's old principal) and took her to lunch at one the famous South Philly diners. We had a nice lunch and chat with her.

After that we drove home and Jim dropped me at the supermarket to pick up a couple of necessities and he went to put gas in the van. THey came back and got me and now we are home and I am doing laundry.

The drivng wasn't too bad and now the sun is out so hopefully that will just melt everything. Tomorrow the high is going to be 18 :scared1:

Be safe, Rosie!

The sad possibility of reality is... WINTER JUST STARTED... like today :scared:

I know - that's why I was kind of sad not having school with the whole power issue last week. It's not like that will be the end of snow days for the year. :sad2:

Anyone know how to cook lobster tails?

Yes, we had them last night! :thumbsup2 Boil enough water to cover tails, add seasoning if needed, put tails in boiling water and when the water returns to boiling, reduce to simmer for 4ish minutes. When the meat is white, they are done. Don't over cook. Enjoy! :goodvibes

Wow fantastic, well done Jimmy :thumbsup2

We had a lovely lunch with our friends, then the girls had to sing in a Carol Service and we're now sitting here munching Christmas candy :rotfl2:

Well, ifyou don't mind I think I will wait until at least Spring;) :rotfl:

Sure!

Will they start taking Easter Break and other off days if there are too many snow days?

I don't think so - last year we just kept going and going... I did hear that the school can apply to the state to NOT make up the ice storm days, since NH was under a "state of emergency." I've not heard if they are going to, and therefore not if it would be approved.

 It's 80 here.

Yeah... Well.... ;)

I'm sure! We meant to go skiing today, but with the roads, and without D, well...
