Hello!

I can't find where I posted before I left IL - so maybe it didn't post? - but I think it was well over 15 pages ago. So, forget it.

Janet, a summary, please?

Dad & I drove straight through and got in about 3:30 Wed. morning. By the time we got some stuff out of the car and got the boys into bed, it was nearly 4:00. We did all sleep in until about 10:00, though, which was nice.

I ran out to the store and then we relaxed until I had tennis. D got home in time for dinner - grilling in the rain! and then I just crashed.

We were supposed to have a baseball birthday party this morning, but it's too rainy and the birthday kid's older brother was throwing up all day yesterday. So, all we have now is the appointment to have Woody's cavity filled this afternoon. My dad is flying home tomorrow morning.

So, I've missed you all, but I still won't get much chance to catch up - maybe tomorrow.

D's stepsister and her family (one of the ones we just saw in WI) are flying out of Boston on Sunday night and want to come stay with us Sat. night, and maybe go to Boston together on Sunday.

I don't clean before leaving on vacation, sadly, so my house is still somewhat of a wreck from the prep, and I didn't want to clean whilst my dad was just sitting around here, so tomorrow is all about getting ready for company.

And best of all, I feel strong and energetic and nothing hurts!

And just in time, too. For 4 days of eating at WDW.

Well today is my first day of vacation! I don't go back to Barbieville until Sept. 2!

I plan on hanging by the pool ALL day and reading my new book ... Breaking Dawn!

My SIL has that and has had alot of pain from it.She says the right shoes do make a big difference.I think her asics are her favorites but they were $100.

That's what I ended up getting and they were about that price. I'm glad to hear that they help. My doctor also told me not to wear flip flops.

My shoe really hurt my foot so the doctor told me to get shoes with support and support socks. Doesn't that make me sound old!

But, then he'll be by himself while waiting before the procedure, which I don't feel good about......

I'm sure he'd be fine, it sounds a good compromise!

It was ALL drama at my house this morning.It shouldn't be that hard to get four independent kids out the door.This morning Tyler FREAKED out over his hair and it took me twenty minutes to just get him to come out of the bathroom.Peyton was up in the middle of the night scrubbing his new shoes with a toothbrush and then this morning he couldn't find his bus form that I signed last night and practically hyperventilated when I suggested that he turn one in this afternoon.Rebekah tried to sneak out in holey shorts that used to be Tyler's and proceeded to argue when I said there was NO way she was going to school looking like a homeless person.Rachel woke me up at 3:00 am too inform me she was not EVER going back to school.This morning we had to drag her screaming out of the bed.She said she would puke on the teacher and I would have to pick her up from school early.

KC is working overtime today (in the office) so I got a peaceful morning to DIS and what not. He's coming home in an hour or so, then we have a bunch of errands. I'm making ribs in the crock and some garlic mashed potatoes to go with it. I think I may bake too- I found a recipe for apple cinn scones that sounds yummy.

Anyone have any crab cake recipes????

I'm not too sure if thats upstate or out towards long island, i'm leaning towards upstate which to me is as good as cananda ! If its not in the 5 boroughs of NYC (manhattan, brooklyn, bronx, queens or staten island) then I am clueless!

Hey guys,

I just got back from helping my neighbor shave her head. Her hair was falling out all over the place from her chemo so she decided that it was time to shave it all off. You don't think it should be a big deal, but it was pretty emotional. Her DD3 came into the kitchen while we were in the middle of it and started crying while looking at her mom. It was awful. But, I think now that this is over, it will be easier. I think this was the hardest part for her and her husband. Her DH told her that he didn't want to be there for the actual shaving. So, he was working in the garage.

Now it's time to decide on some hats....

Well dd looked at the info on Careerstart and she is very interested. Her only complaint was she would miss her cat. Not her mom who gave her life, taught her right from wrong, nurtured her in her times of need, loved her unconditionally for all these years, nope just the cat. It has been a nice and uneventful day and my Db is not having the birthday party until after I get back. I can now get my dn something wonderful from WDW for his first birthday.
