My 15 year old daughter and I are headed to DLP in March 2026 for 2 nights, and I'm trying to decide between the Hotel Cheyenne and Newport Bay (I've heard mixed reviews on the Sequoia, but still open to your opinions). We go to WDW 3-4 times a year and always stay at deluxe resorts. This trip, we are looking for more moderate resorts- so the DLR and Marvel are out.
*We will be booking using our DVC points, so money isn't a concern. The point difference between the two resorts is minimal, so really our decision is based on the quality of the resort itself, not about saving money/points and spending it elsewhere.
We will either walk or bus it to the resorts. I'm not concerned with transportation, rather the resort itself.
Do they have communal lobbies that we can go hang out/shop/eat/pin trade? For example, we don't care for the Sarasota Resort in Orlando because it is so spread out and you have to basically drive or walk really far to get to the lobby/activities. We LOVE Wilderness Lodge/AKL because you walk out your hotel room and go right to a big, beautiful lobby with lots to see and do.
Also, we don't care about a pool because we live in Florida and will be visiting Paris in March.
Any insight will be much appreciated as I'm going into the completely blind and just starting off my research.
Thank you in advance!
