Its just waiting out there for you to show up!

Lots to do in Hawaii and the weather is usually great every day (though we had some major rain during night we arrived and one morning we had an occasional light drizzle - which doesn't stop anything and most people didn't even bother with an umbrella). Otherwise, every day was good for laying on the beach or by the pool, sightseeing, or whatever else pleases you.

This was my 5th trip but the family's first. I was originally planning to go to the Big Island but we ended up staying on Oahu since they hadn't been there. Still had a great time. We're seriously thinking of returning in a few years, perhaps to do a cruise around the islands and stay at the Aulani before or after. This way I can see all the islands and we can also stay at the Aulani which really impressed us. All DW needs is a beach and golf course and the Aulani provides that.

If it just wasn't so far away I would go in heartbeat. DW isn't thrilled with the long flight. Someday though!!! It's near the top of my list.

Hey...we like to go 0-2 against Canadian teams. I have liked our results in the past!!

Now, I have a real important question for you. How warm/cold do you think it will be when we cruise? I know that we are still over a year out, but I am an obsessive planner!

Well you would probably be better at answering that question then me since you live on the coast. I even think you are further north then me as well. September is a hit and miss month where I'm from. Some years it's the best month of the entire summer as far sunshine and no rain and other years it can be down right miserable. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for great weather. I think the leaves should be in full fall colours by then as well. Down here it's just starting at that time.

we have just come back from our wonderful 11-night Mediterranean cruise on the Magic and wish we were still there - it was such a great vacation!

Anyway, now I can move onto planning our next cruise - which of course will be this one.

My name is Chasity (34) and I'll be traveling with my fiance, Gus (35). This will be our 4th cruise (all on Disney). NYC is one of our most favorite places so we'll stay as long as we can after the cruise. Which is probably only a few days.

We are staying at Aulani for a week this October and are hopefully doing a 7 day on the Fantasy next May (can't get time off approved until Jan).

Now THAT is cool! This will be our first cruise where we know someone from a previous cruise...at least as far as I know.

We stopped by the Aulani about 2 weeks ago while visiting Oahu. Its still under construction of course but we were able to enter the main lobby and then view a couple of rooms and look out over the pool and "floating river" area. We loved the rooms and decided we'll have to return in a couple of years and stay at the Aulani. The location is on the leeward side of the island (thats on the west coast) about 20-25 from the airport (and perhaps 45-50 min from Honolulu depending on traffic) and its in a complex of 3 other resorts - so they share some restaurants, shopping and golf.

Well Ann I have done some research and have talked to some people that are from the area and it sounds like we will most the bulk of the colour change by about 2 to 3 weeks. It will just be starting by the time we get there. I love the fall as well. It's my favorite time of the year!!

Thanks Dave! It is always so hard to settle back into normal everyday life after a cruise or a WDW holiday, I have my first day back at work tomorrow and I would give almost anything to be back on the Magic instead . Oh well, only 446 days until we set sail again!
