BCV check-in desk in Villas vs going into hotel

I'm staying at BCV coming up and want to speak to a cast member at check in for a request. Does the person who is often available at the small desk in the DVC building have the same ability to assign my room as the front desk inside the Beach Club? I have usually done online check in but this time I need to talk to someone first.

Yes. We are particular in asking for specific rooms. We don't always go to the cast member in the Villas but when we have, they can do, and usually do, whatever the front desk can do.

Yes, they have been able to help us with anything the "normal" front desk can help with. But the desk at the Villas isn't always staffed like the normal one is.
