Rumoured 8/5 Date For Start Of VGF2 Sales

Okay thanks. So there is a precedent, should it work out that the converted units have less amenities.

The difference with CCV and BRV is that they are not the same association. They are two different ones, which is why one doesn’t get home resort priority at both.

The new studios at VGF will be all part of the same one so everyone owning there and the current VGF building will have the same booking window for all rooms,

But, we assume it will be listed as it’s own building so when owners book, they are booking Big Pine Key building for a studio or the current VGF building for a studio.

So in thinking will the Original owners of VGF and new owners of VGF2 have the same expiration date of 2064(corrected) So already 8 years less than a Riviera Owner?

Correct. They are simply adding more rooms to VGF. It will be one resort with just 200 more studios….which may or may not be the same level of studio that is in the current building.

It is wny I believe we will see pricing closer to RIV.

That's what I was thinking also :)

Do people think therefore this will be problematic for demand on the existing VGF building?

Demand for larger units will likely increase. Demand for the original studios depends on the cost of the new ones, if they're cheaper they'll be more popular, which means more availability for old studios and indeed 2BR (because it'll be easier to book a lockoff).

Yes I think the studio's point chart would need to be the same.

I only ever stay at 1BR's which are generally ok to get. Im hoping they wont be far tougher.

I'm honestly surprised to see that the studio kitchenettes matter so much to people!

They don't seem all that functional to me. I like the full kitchens and the laundry in the 1 bedroom + size, but just about the only thing that gets used by us in a studio is the fridge.
For us it's valuable as a continental breakfast nook prior to parks. Toasted items, microwave oatmeal & grits, coffee. Nice to have a sink to wash things in.

I also think the demand for larger units will be tight. However in terms of studios if they keep the two queen beds instead of one bed with pull outsofa bed that is typical in the studios, and also offer with connecting rooms like they have at the poly, I think these studios will be in demand. We ruled out studios because of the pull out sofa. If they had connecting studios with two queen beds 10 years ago we probably would have booked more studios. At this point we go for the one and two beds

The ability to make coffee and wash the pot and mugs NOT in a bathroom is very important to me. Also, I bring my own lightweight plastic dishes and bowls for cereal so that sink is well used.

Hopefully the will create a mock VGF2 studio at the preview center ASAP so we can see what they will look like.
They’re not there yet, but you’re right, it will be great to know exactly what they will be!!

They had the previews up for Riviera shortly after sales started as I recall.

Exactly this for us as well! Having a light breakfast in the morning was a nice $$ and time saver. Also nice to be able to heat up leftovers/snacks. Having a microwave/sink is great for traveling with little ones as well.

The few times I have stayed in a studio I also really liked the sink. Also nice to have a little counter in addition to the fridge. It definitely makes it feel more like a "home" and less like a hotel room.

You’d be surprised what someone with a little talent and ingenuity can pull off. We did our first stay at the Poly studios in Sept 2020 after buying 100 resale points, most restaurants were closed or very limited at best. My wife pre-cooked a bunch of meals and froze them. Between the fridge, microwave, and a breakfast sandwich maker we took with us, we ate the whole week from that kitchenette, we didn’t buy a single meal from Disney. We love 1BR villas, but when we had to make do she pulled off some magic. It was pretty impressive, she’s a real artist!
