Resort Thread Disney's CORONADO SPRINGS Resort

Hi everyone!

We will be there mid September, just my 7 year old daughter and I. Arriving mid day. Thinking of getting a Lyft to AKL for a late lunch at Sanaa, thoughts? Then head back to CSR and basically hit the pool for the rest of the day.

Do you know if there were buses sent directly to tower first thing in morning or if all park buses started at bus bus stop 2 Cassitas?
I never noticed. I just know that buses were a nonissue. Rarely had to stand except maybe park closings

Definitely try the bread service!

Keep in mind that lunch service at Sanaa is 11 - 3.

This will be our first time at CSR. Just a short trip to do water park and MNSSHP. We have Village Standard View. What sections does that cover, and will we be far from bus stops? Legs are going to be tired at the end of the night.

All villages have standard rooms and each village has a bus stop. Casita 5 or cabana 8a are good choices

You will have a bus stop fairly near your room, as there is one for each section of the resort. The only thing you may have a bit of a walk to is the main building with the gift shop/restaurants.

We usually stay at SSR and love to be near DS. However, need to save some pennies next trip. Holiday Inn DS would cost 1365 with tax for 5 nights while CSR is 1695 with tax. We have two days for parks (MK & AK) and the other two days will be Sea World and Discovery Cove (will Uber to these). I took a room tour of CSR on Youtube and it looks very modern and comfortable and I like that it does not have the external AC. I love the grounds for morning walks. DD (13) is not huge into swimming but I enjoy it and would like the quiet pools. Holiday Inn DS has pretty good reviews, but it sounds like the rooms are kinda run down and DD will enjoy some down time in the afternoon in the room. I suppose we can Uber to DS! How easy is that to do? Has anyone stayed at both of these locations/any tips? Is the Dig Site pool the only large pool and does it get super duper busy (this will be last week of February '26)? TIA!

You can take the bus to DS, it is pretty easy. The grounds at CSR are very nice to walk around. The pool wasn't too crowded when I was there in May 2025.

Ubers are plentiful at CSR. Also its central location provides for quick trips to almost everywhere on property.

I’ve also stayed at the HI. It’s ok. The shuttle bus is pretty much useless IMO. If staying at DS I prefer the Hilton with its balconies and closer proximity to DS.

Stayed CSR tower with rental car.

Cons: Ended up in connecting room. Walls are indeed very thin. Food & drinks missed unfortunately. Parking was hit and miss at the tower. Cleanliness fell short. Housekeeping was supposed to be every other day. However, after not having housekeeping for 3 days, we spoke to the front desk. We didn't have our sign on the door either. It's a bummer too, who wants to have that awkward conversation to begin with while on vacation. Although housekeeping didn't sweep our entire 8-night stay, we still tipped.

The pools were overcrowded very bad & dirty. We didn't even bother. The resort itself was very overrun. Even lines to wait for the elevators from L & LL. Unknowingly to us, The US Open Karate Tournament was taking place which we didn't find out until day before checkout. Which honestly most likely explains our cons experience.

Pros: Glad we had the above experience for reference for future trips. We did fill out the survey Disney Resorts sends out. That we may or may not stay at Walt Disney World Resorts again. That's a whole different conversation.

CSR is close to Disney Springs, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, & 24/7 McDonalds. Lots of people using UberEATS/Door Dash services and meeting in the lobby to collect their orders. The resort is budget friendly.

11th floor Resort view did not disappoint with Epcot's fireworks. Watching from our resort view room, buses were constantly running every few minutes in the evening hours. 2 Queen beds and pillows were comfortable. Walk-in shower & 2 bath sinks were very nice. Good drawers & closet space. Laundry room on 3rd floor did its job. Everything through the laundry room app made it easy. Lots of hidden Mickey's around the resort. CMs were all helpful, nice, & welcoming.

Security guards at the gate recommends getting a room key because it's easier to get in the gates as a returning guest vs. the magic bands. You need to use the room keys to open your room door in order for it to work on the gate returning guest entrance. If we check in to a Walt Disney resort next time, we'll use all magic bands & room keys to open our room door before leaving the resort.

Hmmm....interesting about the magicband/room key thing. We just returned last night and had some issues with that...thinking maybe thats why.

This was our first stay at CSR and we stayed in Casitas by request.

Totally agree about the pools (waaayyy too crowded and over-run.) Didn't matter the time of day either. I could not believe how little shade they had at the main pool. I didn't mind the actual set uo, just way too crowded and not enough shafe. The hot tub was not hot and again at night over crowded.

We had pretty good mousekeeping though and kinda enjoyed the unconventional Disney food court. Def. things we missed. but also enjoyed some of the differences.

The resort is VERY large and while I didn't dislike it as much as I thought I would (not a fanof the large footprint resorts) I definitely felt like we didn't get the whole experience as it's just too big.

I will say we were impressed by buses. They seemed to have them coming every 5-10 mins. and being the Casitas stop was great.

Overall it definitely wouldn't be my first choice, however if someone else in my party wanted to stay there again I would.

Hi Dis friends!
I am headed to WDW to stay at CS in August. It's a new-to-me resort, and I know I have an oddly/weirdly specific question. I have a standard view village room booked. I'm thinking that these rooms have Keurigs; is this correct?

I'm wondering about creamers, specifically. I'm not sure what the QS restaurants are at CS where you can buy the refillable mugs, but I'm wondering if these refillable mug stations have half and half in the fill-it-yourself style large containers next to the fill-it-yourself coffee, or do they have just big bowls of the individual little creamers that you have to open and pour into your coffee?

I'm trying to decide if I should bring my own kcups or if I should purchase a refillable mug. The creamer situation will be my guide. Any intel anyone has would be awesome! Thank you!

You will have creamers in the room (those little restaurant-size). If I remember correctly, there is a 'flavored' set (hazelnut?) and a half/half set. Just so you know, if you call housekeeping, they will supply much more than is initially in the room, if you need it. I always need more sweetener and creamer. As far as the coffee goes, there are teas and Joffery's Resort Blend in the room. You're welcome to bring your own favorite, though. I happen to love the Joffery's, but not everyone does. You can also snag some creamers from El Mercado (QS) and bring them back to your room, if you want. I hope that helps and that you have a great time. Coronado is a magnificent resort!

Thanks @DWillowBay! This is so helpful. Just to make sure I'm understanding the situation at the QS places...they only have the little individual creamers? No large containers of half and half that you can dispense yourself adjacent to the coffee containers? That's really what I'm curious about.

Also, am I right about Keurigs in the rooms? Thanks so much!:flower1:

Yes to both small creamers and Keurigs.....in my experience.
