We're planning for our third family trip to Disney this fall. I've picked our table service already, but would like to have some ideas on our counter service eats as well.

Our family is myself and my husband, and our three kids: girl (9), girl (7) and son (4). We are currently booked at The Contemporary, but open to switching resorts (remaining deluxe I think).

Although we have planned a few places at our past visits, more often than not, we wander around and go into whatever restaurant is nearby :thumbsup2

I think we'd prefer to stay in the parks for lunches....

ADRs already booked for Garden Grill, Be Our Guest (QS), Rainforest Cafe, Sci-Fi Drive in, 'Ohana, Teppan Edo, Whispering Canyon Cafe, Chef Mickeys (breakfast).

I'd love to hear some suggestions on where we can eat our lunches/dinners :goodvibes

MK - Columbia Harbor House
AK - Harambe Market, unless you are going after Memorial Day Weekend and then you could try the new Pandora QS, Satu'li Canteen.
Epcot - So many good choices. Sunshine Seasons, Katsura Grill, Tangierine Cafe
DHS - That's a tough one. I haven't eaten at them, but I have recently heard good things about the new items at Fairfax Fare and Rosie's. We usually do Backlot Express; it's just barely OK.

MK - Columbia Harbour House
AK - Flame Tree BBQ
Epcot - Kringla Bakeri
DHS - Backlot Express

MK - Columbia Harbor House, but go upstairs to sit. Quieter and it's nice to look down at Liberty Square
HS - A brown bag PB&J sandwich is about as good as you'll get.
AK - Harambe Market or Flame Tree BBQ, both are great options.

And for Epcot, I've split it into two...

ECFW - Sunshine Seasons
ECWS - Fish and Chips in the UK or Les Halles de France

We've done CHH at MK (both trips, because it is good) and Sunshine Seasns at Epcot. Thanks for the other suggestions...I didn't realize there's a new CS at AK...thanks!

MK- Columbia Harbor House
AK - Flame Tree Barbecue

Haven't tried the BBQ, but I think I'll put it on the list...we tend to end up at yak&yeti every time :rolleyes1

Epcot - UK Fish and Chips or Katsura Grill

Yorkshire fish & chips was delish!

MK - Columbia Harbour House
AK - Flame Tree BBQ
Epcot - Kringla Bakeri
DHS - Backlot Express

I've got snacks at Kringla.....I guess I've never thought of eating there...we'll have to check it out!

In EP, our favorites are Les Halles de France, Kringla Bakery and Tangierine Cafe.

MK - Columbia Harbour House

Thanks for the Epcot suggestions....that's the hardest park for me to pick out

Agree with these :thumbsup2

Another vote for the Columbia Harbor House at MK. There are some pretty healthy food options here and the second floor eating area is usually pretty quiet and also has a bathroom that doesn't get too much foot traffic.

Our kids like cosmic rays at mk, the commissary at HS (random but they like it), egg rolls at the food trucks at ak (not sure of the name), and everything at epcot.

MK Pecos Bills! I think it's a hidden find!
Epcot Sunshine Seasons!
AK Harambe Market (unless you want things from different windows, then it takes forever)! Or Yak and Yeti QS!
HS Nothing that great

AK Harambe Market (unless you want things from different windows, then it takes forever)! Or Yak and Yeti QS!

When we were there last year they allowed us to order any food from any window. Has this changed?

MK- Columbia Harbor House
AK- Flame Tree BBQ, although as a kid I LOVED Pizzafari, so if your kids love pizza they would like this place better
Epcot- Sunshine Seasons, has something for everyone!
DHS- I can't think of any, sorry! We don't usually eat a meal here, its typically snacks or we have a TS at 50s Prime Time

MK - Cosmic Rays (because I haven't tried the changed menu at Pecos Bills)
DHS - Backlot Express
AK - Flame Tree BBQ
Epcot - so many choices. You almost can't go wrong at any of the countries in WS. Was always partial to Germany, but that could be because of the Black Forest Cake.

MK: Columbia Harbor House or Pecos Bill
AK: Flametree BBQ
Epcot: Tangierine Cafe or Sunshine Seasons
HS: tough one. I'd pay a few $s more & make an ADR for Sci-Fi. Make that ADR sooner rather than later as it is popular & walk-ins are a challenge.

Depends on how long you are staying - that's a lot of sit-down meals for us. Remember you will have Food and Wine in the fall at Epcot so you can eat around the world.

Epcot - F&W but we love La Halles too
MK - Columbia HH or Storybook Treats (that Nutella and Strawberry Waffle is awesome)
AK - Harambe or Flame Tree
HS - I would have said Starring Rolls but Rosie's seems best choice now.

My DH is the world's most boring eater, so take that into account when you look at my suggestions

AK - Restaurantasaurus - we like it especially because they have free drink refills
EP - La Cantina de San Angel or Liberty Inn (crazy at it sounds, Liberty Inn had the best burgers of the entire trip because they are served on a brioche bun instead of the gross "Disney" buns)
MK - Columbia Harbor House
HS - Backlot Express - decent food, and free drink refills.

My favorite restaurants end up being QS places...I've done the QS dining plan 4 times now. Totally worth it.

In Epcot, I love Cantina de San Angel (There's nothing wrong with frozen margaritas and a beautiful view of the water. Plus the food is delicious!) in addition, I really enjoy Katsura Grill. Its simple, nothing too crazy. They offer indoor and outdoor seating (which is really pretty at night).
In Magic Kingdom, my favorite QS places are ones I go to nearly every single visit. Cosmic Ray's and Casey's Corner. Cosmic Ray's is HUGE which helps when you need a seat indoors. There's 3 "bays" for different food options that aren't just the typical burger and fries. Casey's Corner is right on Main Street which I personally find to be a fantastic atmosphere. They serve hot dogs...but they're pretty cool! I mean, how can you pass up a Mac & Cheese dog?
In Animal Kingdom, I've really enjoyed Restaurantosaurus (even though its /just/ a burger place) Its somewhere Different, and that's important for new experience. It was cute, spacious and tucked in a little corner of Dinoland USA which toward that part of the park is really appreciated.
In Hollywood Studios...god I don't even know where do begin. Most recently I've eaten at Backlot Express which was pretty good. Now that place is HUGE, sometimes hard to find a seat during peak eating hours, but that being said it had some unique offerings like chicken and waffles and a black bun burger. Kids would probably get a kick out of it. Like its predecessor, PizzeRizzo (Pizza Planet, but rethemed) serves quick Italian fare. I remember Pizza Planet being decent, especially if you're out in that area of the park. Maybe I'm bias toward Pizza Planet, but its not bad. Hollywood Studios I find to be lacking in QS places as of late, but it'll get easier soon.
Hope this helps!
