Are there any tricks for using the Sam's GC to purchase Disney GC via Walmart Pay? I tried this out today and was unsuccessful. First, I tried to order online as an eGC, but my order was immediately canceled (gave some error about location). I had to get some things from the store this afternoon anyway so I tried to buy a physical GC in-store using Walmart Pay and got an error again. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
Well I followed a previous poster and “went to the source” I posted about my experience on FB. Curious to see if they respond…
There have been numerous posts that in the past, you can purchase a gift card at Walmart using a Walmart gift card if the gift card is in your Walmart pay account. Either something has changed since then in the Walmart system, or for some other reason it didn't work for the person who tried.
Is there a sticky or something that explains Pepper? I'm only willing to check it out because of the AMEX promo on my card but besides that I think I'm feeling portal/app/cash back/points fatigue. Not sure my brain has room for yet another site...unless it's worth it of course!
I was able to do that yesterday with a 15 dollar Walmart gc. I bought 100 dollar Disney card and only 85 was charged to my credit card that had a 3% cash back for Walmart.
Totally could have been user error as I'm not known for being great with technology!
If anyone has a recent DP of it either working or not working, I'd be very interested to hear it. If nothing else, I purchased a small enough amount that I can easily use it for non-GC purchases at Walmart. Still got the $15 off with the AMEX offer!

Some of the DoC comments don't exactly inspire confidence but then again if it's good enough for AMEX to give an offer on it...
Oh boy, I hadn't read those comments until just now! I'm risk adverse, so definitely won't be putting much money into Pepper with these comments. I will say that the AmEx offer already credited for me and I was able to use an Amazon gift card that I purchased through there. The Sam's GC is showing up in my Walmart app, so I don't think it's a problem with the gift card, persay.
So with the Sams offer today and if I sign up using the DoC referral that gives double points that's effectively like buying a Walmart/Sam's GC for 28% off??
Actually when I looked again it's pre bf 11/1-11/17. So maybe there might be more in the bf flyer.
I feel like I read somewhere that it's only the base (2%) points that are doubled, and not the bonus points? So might be only 16% back, rather than a full 28% (not really sure about this though, I only signed up for Pepper on Monday). Could be even more with the AMEX offer too! The amount back also needs to be used to get GC through Pepper, if I'm understanding correctly. And YMMV in converting to Disney GC, I haven't successfully done it yet.
I don't know the specific limit on using Walmart Cash to purchase gift cards. I have success when I purchase two $100 gift cards at a time. It's possible that you may be able to purchase more cards or a larger amount, but I don't know that for sure.
It seems impossible that Pepper can be making a profit, and everyone has been expecting Pepper to shut down for months. Instead, they sent out a bunch of spend $50 get $15 AmEx offers. I feel pretty good about these offers with the guaranteed 30% discount up front, so I won't feel to bad if Pepper doesn't pay out the 12x or 14x Pepper coins bonus.
Did you buy physical GC at Walmart? If so, were they variable or fixed amount? And did you go to a human cashier or the self-checkout? Trying to understand some variables here so I can try again in the next day or two.
So you're just mentally using this as any AMEX offer where it's 15 back on a 50 purchase right? I may just do that just to get the cash back and anything else beyond that is gravy.
