I'm sure you're busy having fun right now, but when you're available, would love to hear an update on how the request with the Guest Experience Team went for you this morning. Hoping everything went well and you all got to enjoy the ride!
Thank you and yes...we had an amazing day and we all got to enjoy the ride😀 The whole family loved it!

The Guest Experience Team interaction had us worried for a minute. The rep was extremely nice. She understood what happened immediately, and worked to help us. She did say that she was not sure if she would be able to help at first. She was more than accommodating. However, she did note that they have updated their queue system. According to her, multiple virtual queue requests from separate accounts can now cancel out competing requests. She said that they are have been working to make their system smarter, and that she has seen multiple reports of visitors getting errors due to simultaneous requests on the same accounts. Not sure how often this is really happening, but I have seen people reporting errors....this may be what is causing that. Not sure, but definitely something to keep an eye on in other reports

Awesome, congrats! Thanks for reporting back. It's always good to hear the positive interactions with the GET.

I do not have enough experience with this yet... Just practiced a total of three times with two being successful and yesterday's 1pm not... It seemed like the screen was thinking and taking to long... Thought it could the connection or a glitch but not positive... Not sure if it has anything thing to do with soooo many people trying to access it all at the same time... I was thinking of having my three boys down load the ap and start practicing but I wondering if that will confuse the system or gives us a better chance.... Hoping someone here with more experience can better answer our questions.... Pre Covid I was pro planner.... But this is a whole different game plan for me so I am learning like you🙄
Yes, you can have your boys try as well. We had 8 people trying for a boarding group using the same account. The week before we went, my older 3 girls started practicing. Two of those girls were the ones that actually got the boarding group for us each day. The more people trying, the better your chances!

I work third shift but my teenage son was sent home from school yesterday due to a cough.... After picking him up I showed him how to get on my ap and how to try for the BP while I went back to sleep. He was successful his first time as well😁. Going to show the other boys as well and have every one download the ap. So all four of us trying with not cause a glitch in the system or hinder our chances? I honestly can not remember how to connect with each other in the my Disney Experience... Once they open an account how do they connect us all? Mine has us all connected since my first trip back in 2014 which was too long ago for me to remember 🤣

They've been saying this since day one, but I've seen many folks here post that the CMs are misinformed about this.

Conventional wisdom here has been to have as many people as possible trying from the same account. If there are "competing" requests from the same account, the first one gets in and the others get an "error" message because they already got a BG from the one that was fastest.

That being said, I can't say with 100% certainty that there aren't times when something glitches due to multiple people trying from the same account, but that has not been the experience of most here.

ETA: After I posted, I noticed you said multiple requests from separate accounts. There are some potential issues when trying from multiple accounts but, to my knowledge, canceling competing requests isn't one of them (but it's always possible considering, you know, Disney IT).

I can’t speak for everyone, but we tried with multiple accounts this morning and had no problems. Boarding group 7.

Quick question for those using time.gov -

Do you hit the join button at exactly 7:00 according to time.gov, or just a millisecond before or after?

My sister and I both got Boarding Groups. Hers was much sooner than mine. We stopped by Guest Relations and they were able to move us into her Boarding Group.

There were only 4 of us combined, so it makes sense to place all 4 of us in one row, rather than have us split in 2 groups of 2, with 2 empty sets.

Note that our accounts were not linked together. Every fraction of a second counts and we thought it might be a bit faster if the Disney system didn't have to lookup the status of separate accounts when going after Boarding Groups.

There have been far more reports here of success than failure when multiple people are trying for a BG. The CMs will say otherwise but results here say the more people trying the better!
So it has been years since I connected my group on my Disney Experience.... Does my group just down load the app under my account then? Mom has her own account if she some how adds us well then mess things up when we try for the ride since she will also have a park pass for the day? If it does not mess things up does she have to add me so she can see our itinerary?

Yes, you can download the app for your family and sign in under your account. You can also link your account to you mom’s account. It will NOT mess things up. You can try for a boarding group in your account only, OR your mom can also try from hers. It doesn’t matter. As long as everyone in your group has a park pass to HS that particular day, then everyone is eligible to get a boarding group including your mom. She doesn’t have to ride it, if she doesn’t want to. Once you are linked, you can see each other’s itinerary if you set it up that way.

We had 10 people on our trip, but we only had 2 MDE accounts. I had my family on mine. My best friend had her family on hers. Our group was linked. There were 8 of us trying for a boarding group under those 2 accounts. We all had a HS park pass on 2 different days. So when one member from our party was successful, all 10 of us automatically got a boarding group.

Hello,

We are staying offsite in May and I had a question regarding getting a boarding group for RoTR at 7am

I remember in the past you had to be inside the park to get your boarding group. But since it's at 7AM, if I am not on Disney property, and am remote, will it still allow us to grab a boarding group or do I need to travel onsite around 7am?

No, you can be anywhere in the world! In fact it is worth practising at home. To succeed you have to have tickets/an AP and a park reservations for HS. You have to be in HS for the 13.00 drop though. Good luck!

Merging this with the Rise of the Resistance thread. Please take the time to read posts 1 and 2 as they will answer many questions. Also, if you are not familiar with how to obtain a BG you will want to read back through the last 10 pages or so and practice before going to WDW. Boarding Groups are filling within 2-3 seconds at both 7 AM and 1 PM daily.

Does anyone have screenshots or videos of the screens? I see where the join is on the first screen. Where is it on the subsequent screens?
