If you could design a DVC resort what would you theme it like? What Disney Park would you put it near? Type of restaurant? Pool? Type of rooms? Go on and dream. Dream big!

I would design one with a Princess/Knight theme. We've all dreamed about staying in Cinderella's castle, DVC could make that dream come true! Special Princess meet and greets would make it a huge draw for the little kids. You could also incorporate the Knight theme with a dragan's laire cave near the pool, etc. Would be so fun to design!

I would design one with a Pirate and Princess theme. I would put it on Bay Lake near the MK. If that is possible.

I'd like to keep it like many of the DVC's, a toned down Disney resort. The scheme would in some ways be similar to AKV adobe housing but with Southwest colors (Turquoise etc.). I'd do something like a train going up the mountain theme for the pool slide. Margarita's at the bar, Tex-Mex ala ribs and burritos at the restaurant.

My resort would be themed like you were moving to a 50’s Americana small town which would give even more magic to the words "welcome home." It would have buildings that looked like classic ranch houses and bungalows. The check in lobby might be a factory like building with smoke stacks. The resort would be like a small town with streets similar to POFQ with front yards, and backyards including swings for the kids. At Christmas they could decorate it like Bedford Falls. The rooms would be similar to the set of your typical 50’s sitcom (think Leave it to Beaver or Dick Van **** show) The inside would have kitchens similar to the 50’s prime time café .The pool complexes would have kidney shaped pools with diving boards. There’d be an outdoor restaurant that would be themed like a backyard neighborhood barbeque so you could meet the neighbors of your new home. The cm's would drive around in carts that looked like cars from the era. I would see if I could work it in to the Epcot monorail line and at the very least would have great bus service!

Excellent idea. I could see this in many different ways. One large castle or multiple small castles. Better yet, both.

The whole theme going on throughout the entire resort. It could easily be the largest DVC resort to date. A red carpet to enter. Themed restaurants. Jokers/jugglers/knights/princess stands throughout for entertainment. Horse drawn carriage rides. I'm liking it :cheer2: You could even have a "ball" on set nights for all those "princesses" and "knights" to join.

I like this idea. i would like to see in on Discovery Island, where the only way to get in is by pirate ship. It would be a cool theme. Leaves all kinds of great options for a themed pool, too.

Another idea, although a little weird could be a toon town like in Roger Rabbit. The pool could be called the big dip.

Asian themed resort - other side of Bay Lake (approximately where the Persian resort was supposed to go, since the took the spot for the Asian resort for the Grand Floridian).

WDW is in need of another park more so then an additional resort.
Disney has added room after room for people to stay in, over the course of the last 5 years.

The lines in the parks for food and rides has made peoples stay withing the park, not nearly as enjoyable as it was 15 years ago.

Build a park within walking/boat/monorail distance of SSR, to take some of the pressure inside the 7mth window, off of the smaller resorts that do have parks at their doorstep.

I love the caslte/princess/knight/pirate theme! Hummm got to brain storm another one.....

I've said it before...
I would like a Colonial/early American theme, sort of like the American Adventure and Hall of Presidents.

My second option would be similar to Hugh Hefner's place... :teeth:

I like the 50's theme idea:idea: . I think some type of Asian type resort would be cool, too!:cheer2:

I also like the idea of an Asian themed resort. Except I would put it near Animal Kingdom, and have an Asian animal savanna. Animal Kingdom Lodge goes so well with the African theme at Animal Kingdom, it would be great to expand Animal Kingdom's Asian theme to a resort as well. :goodvibes

If they would announce it already...i would actually have my dream resort soon at the contemporary!!!!

But count me in for the pirate themed resort, with a pirate ship pool with cannons that shoot water, and a galley food courtpirate:

I know you said theme but I really need a DVC in the Caribbean! I wouldn't care what the theme was but I do like the castle idea.

I think that a Ski Chalet themed resort next to Blizzard Beach (Mt. Gushmore Lodge???) would be cool. What would be extra cool would be to have the resort pool "connect" to the BB lazy river as a special entrance.

Now that is seriously funny:rotfl2:

Princesses, knights, dragons, etc. Like Fantasyland that you could live in, or the classic movies come to life! Princess meet n greets. Interactive animatronic knights in shining armour. A castle courtyard with jousts. The restaurant could be like a great hall with long tables and medieval entertainment - jesters, etc. Royal Balls a few nights a week. Canopy beds in the rooms. How about a lazy river moat!

Oh man, if they ever build something like that, I almost wouldn't care where it's located, I'd sell all the rest of our contracts and buy about 500 points there!
