When we last checked on construction of the new roadway entrance to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, a
sidewalk had recently been paved. Crews have now planted fresh grass, trees, and foliage.

The new sidewalk is on the left when facing the new entrance from The Great Ceremonial House. It connects to a pre-existing sidewalk and crosswalk, and will eventually lead to the edge of the curb in front of the lobby building. Where there was previously just dirt are now some trees and other plants.

The dirt hasn’t been fully filled in, but we’ll likely see more plants added over the next few days and weeks. A ramp next to the sidewalk also appears to have been painted to turn it into a couple of parking spots.
In the center of the roadway, there is now grass around some patches of dirt that will become flowerbeds. A few trees are in the dirt.

On the other side of the construction zone, a row of parking has been repaved and painted. Parking curbs are at the fronts of each parking space. Some plants have also been added around a sidewalk on this side, with a dirt patch near the Great Ceremonial House awaiting plants.
The new entrance is off Floridian Way, more directly in front of the Great Ceremonial Entrance than the current Seven Seas Drive entrance. The current entrance will become a bus-only entrance.
