Frogg Toggs a must?

This is a much better option and doesn't look nearly as ridicules...

I own several of these shirts and normally use them when I workout, but wore them to Disney on my last trip...easily has one of the more comfortable trips I have had in years.

Frogg Toggs are almost as bad as Crocs....

went to their website $45 for a mens short sleeve ! that may be fine for an athlete but for a family thats alot of money plus I don't think its that attractive either Now Crocs I agree with you, I fell for that craze and they have been used for years only going to & from my shower at home BUT others swear by them too...different opinions makes the world go round :thumbsup2

I'd need 4 shirts each for 3 of us...and those aren't so cute on girls...so regarding the frog togs...when it's hot, who cares if you am holding one of those or your kids has one on their forehead...that's not so much a fashion statement. LOLOLOL

You can't compare to footwear...I don't like crocs at all, and I won't wear them ever, but if my DS7 wants to wear LEGO crocs or Disney crocs... I am not really judging him on that, he's little.

:thumbsup2 then again if they EVER made in adult size the Mickey on one foot and the Pluto on the other I would be converted to them in a heartbeat :lmao: and would proudly wear them not caring what anyone thinks !

and YES avoiding heat exhaustion or heat stroke is NOT a fashion statement

Oh my gosh! I bought a Frog Togg a year ago, and it's been in my closet ever since. Never even tried it! Guess I know what I'll be doing this week. Frog Togg trial on the 4th of July!

As long as we're cool, I don't give a hoot what someone else may think about Frogg Toggs. :rotfl2:

These look great and I'd think of getting some for DH, but I wonder how they'd work in the AC? Would he freeze when we went for lunch? Or standing in a long line for a ride?

Yeah, me neither. Plus we're going in August, so any delusions of looking all put together will be ruined as soon as we walk out the door into the heat :) I'll wrap my whole body in Frogg Toggs if it helps LOL

I'm a mailman. I use Frogg Toggs and they work well. I think some people think they are going to use them and it will be like air conditioning :rotfl2:

However, they do help cool you and help keep you more comfortable if you are out in the sun/heat

:thumbsup2 Peer Pressure works on me! I found one today at Wal-mart. I like it, It's a bit bulky so I think I will cut it into strips.

I now know what I will "gift" military members that I hear who are going to the Desert:)

Don't need to wet it and put it in a baggy; just take it in a restroom when you need it or even from a water fountain. Wear it wherever you need it, as a bandanna, shoal, etc. My wife would put it around her neck or lay it over her arms when they got hot. She said the coolness stays with you a while. For a while, she had it around her neck like a scarf and tucked the front of it down inside her shirt. Whatever works and keeps you the coolest.

Also, if you don't know where they are located in Walmart and most associates probably won't know either, just go to the Walmart website, do a search and order for pick up today in your store. The order goes directly to that store and shows up on the screen of the hand held terminal of the associate who pulls it from the shelf. The screen tells them where it is located. Within four hours, you get a message that it is ready for pick up and you just go to the "Site to Store" location and pick it up. That way, you don't have to run all over the place looking for it.

thanks for the explanation....were there in Sept. sounds like we will be in the need for these!
:goodvibes

Are frogg Toggs a must for WDW? I have been back and forth on purchasing these.:worried::confused:

Never heard of them till yesterday. Bought one used it mowing the yard today. Worked great. I think there a whole lot better then carrying a water bottle with a fan on it around. We will have them on our next trip.

Yep. We took fans, misting bottles and frogg toggs on our trip earlier this month. We never used the misting bottles. We used the fans a couple of times while in DHS (at BatB and on the kids while napping in the stroller). By the middle of the week we were leaving the bottles and fans in the room.

They usually come in a canister. Save it because the canister acts as a little cooler (almost like the size of a can of pringles). We use these for sports all the time. We wet the frogg togg, roll it up and put in container, and put it in frig for a few hours. You can just wet them and they will be pretty cool, but we have found they are cooler later in the day after being in the frig (especially when water isn't handy). These will stay cold for hours in the heat in their containers. (Never taken them to Disney, but use them for tournaments all the time in miserably hot weather).

Also we were told to never wash them with fabric softener. No dryer as stated either ;)

I usually go to Disney when it is cooler so I don't need it for that. However this thread inspired me to buy one and try it when I play paintball. Should get it by the end of the week. Thanks!

Just returned from our trip on Saturday. I bought the Frog Toggs and have to say that we did not use them at all. I think my son pulled one out once and wiped his neck with it then put it away. At the end of the week, we weren't even bringing them to the parks. They were a waste of money for us.

From April thru Oct yes. ANy other time you may be ok.

They are under $15 why take a risk on being sweltering hot for $15. You can also use them at home, DD loves ours for her softball games and outdoor sports. It sure came in handy this weekend while we baked at the ball field all day in 90+ degree weather.
