Free Dining Oct-Dec Is Here!! Dates Confirmed!!! ~ Part 2

I just want to say thank you to all those that take the time to help all us newbies out. I knew free dining was a possibility when I made the reservations what seems ages ago. Without all you that take the time to answer the same questions over and over, I wouldn't even know where to start. We were able to get free dining this morning and with the money saved, $1200, I be able to surprise my 13 DS and DH with surfing lessons while we are there! This is a once in lifetime trip for us and I am so excited, can't say thank you enough! Its going to be a long 78 days and it will probably be the fastest 8 days ever.

Ok so I had a few back ups but that isn't going to be the case with the new exclusions.....What are some rooms other that AoA that can fit 5 people and will be included in the meal plan?

Port Orleans Riverside in Alligator Bayou area has a trundle bed that will fit a 5th person, and they are included in free dining!

I could call Disney in a couple days once the dust settles and have them help you link it all up then. I had that happen with a dining reso once and it turns out that I had two different accounts each with their own log-in. I didn't realize, because it had been a while since I tried to get into the site.

Anyway, I would wait until all the craziness subsides and try and call later so they can help. Good luck!

I assumed (never a good thing) from the tone of your posts that y'all have your heart set on CSR and your dates. But it's quite possible those date won't be available at CSR. Are you flexible in your location and date?

Have you told your TA that your are or aren't flexible? I now that you're really looking forward to FD and i would hate for you to be disappointed, especially if you're a flexible in other areas.

I hope you and everyone here gets sprinkled w/pixie dust today.

We have a 5 night stay booked at the Contemporary- is there any way we can receive free dining ?

Im trying to help a friend with their trip, I had 2 questions. She booked online with 2 day tickets at POR. She now wants 6 day tickets and would prefer to add them now. Can she do that or will it be a whole new reservation? Also since she reserved online she couldn't put in any requests, can she do that by email or would she have to call?

It is only a 3 night minimum. 6 nights is just a sample. Good luck!

On the Disney site, if you go to "My Reservations" and you hit "View Details" under your resort reservation - Will it say anything about DDP? My TA FINALLY got through, and changed us over to CSR to get the FD (happy dance!!!) and the new hotel has come up in my reservations, but I'm worried because its not mentioning the DP.

She can call to add requests and add days to her tickets. It will just be a modification to her existing package.

When I did my res it did the same thing. It took a few days to update. If it really starts bothering you call and ask, but then remember you'll be on hold awhile. If you have a conf from your TA you should be ok.

According to the CM I spoke to this am she said she is processing almost as many room cancellations as she is new ressie's and changes. I would imagine with that in mind once the dust settles the occupancy rates will look much different and they would re-examine things! If nothing else open up a few more FD rooms at places that are "full".

KEEP THE FAITH...even if you don't get FD today!

I hope so!!!!!!!! I got it at a fourth choice (not complaining that much, after all, it is still Disney!) but will keep checking for other options!

A lot of people had problems back in May when the September FD offer came out with getting the confirming e-mails and then with it noting "Free Dining". I think when people called back they enventually got an e-mail with the Free Dining listed. We applied the FD PIN to our reservations in May and it took a few days before I could see Magic Your Way Free Dining (PIN) when I checked the reservations on line.

Ok good to know - Thanks! I did text my TA, and she said that its all good on her end MMY package with dining. Guess I just have to wait it out to see it on mine!!
