Former NBA player Lamar Odom found unresponsive..

I looked up his name to see why he was in the news after asking in this post. Don't know who he played for or care.

And no, I have no compassion for a possible drug overdose at a brothel.
You obviously do seem to care. You've posted kind of nasty replies twice now. For someone who doesn't care you're putting a lot of effort into this thread.

Which is fine... I mean this is America, but your actions say something different than your words.

Our news just stated that it was due to excessive dosing of Viagra. Found in a Las Vegas brothel.

Hmm, I just saw a clip from E Online saying it was a crack overdose (anonymous hospital source), so who knows what the truth is.

People who do drug are ill. They aren't evil or monsters they just need help like any others people that are sick. As for the brothel who cares stop judging

This was reported on my local ABC affiliate and I think they were quoting TMZ but not sure.

Poor Lammy.

Addiction is hereditary. His Father is a raging drug addict. No doubt Lamar has been on a downward spiral for a couple of years, but recently he lost two of his best friends from overdoses within a week of each other. Layer on to that no possible reconciliation with Khloe, I cannot say I'm surprised this has happened.

I can only hope that if he survives this, he will get the help he needs for his illness.

Very sad.

Don't watch the Kardashians or basketball and have no idea who this drug addled brothel visiting idiot is.

If you looked him up then you know who he is. It's weird that you were claiming to not know who he is but you had already looked him up and knew about his drug problems and being in a brothel.
I think you do care. You care so much you can't stop posting.

His father is a heroin addict
His mother died of colon cancer when he was 12
His son died at 6.5 months old from SIDS
He recently was divorced and lost 2 friends
Why is it so hard to have compassion for this man? That is more than most of us will go through in a lifetime
I don't know what I would do if my mommy or my son died right now.

Most of the news stories have started with, "Former NBA star Lamar Odom found unresponsive from possible drug overdose in a brothel." I have to admit, it was the "brothel" part that caught my ear. You don't hear about them on a daily basis, let alone someone reasonably famous overdosing at one.

I'm sure the Kartrashians are going to suck up this publicity for all its worth.

I hope they don't. If I was forced to pick a favorite Kardashian, it would be Khloe. She appears to be the one with the most common sense. When Lamar's career was tanking, she stood up to her Mother and Seacrest to pull the plug on "Khloe and Lamar", their spin-off reality show. I think she's the only one who will really take krazy Kris to task on her actions.

I do not care about him I am only answering questions.

Please get your facts straight. I did NOT look him up until AFTER I posted.

So, to get it straight.

You read the title about a person you hadn't heard of, somehow missing the "Former NBA player" part of the title
Asked about him.
Then went and looked him up and read at least one article.
Then came back here to tell us how much you didn't care about him.
Continued telling us how much you don't care about him.

All for someone/something you don't care about?

Would love to see how much effort you put into people/things that you do care about.

Addiction is a horrible disease. Prayers said for Lamar. You don't need to know someone, or like them personally, to have compassion.

Why don't you go back to what I first posted. Nevermind I am done with this thread. Such a waste of time on a drug addict who OD'd in a brothel. Good Riddance.

What you first posted doesn't have anything to do with you coming back after you had obviously looked him up ( you knew about the brothel in the second post) to say you still don't know who he is.

I also didn't know who he was, and yes the first thought about someone OD'ing in a brothel is kind of like, yeah...total trash move by an idiot. But then I read about him and now I do feel compassion for him. Sometimes snap judgements aren't the best.
