Same day grocery delivery suggestions

I have heard through these boards that bellhop at the Swan will not store refrigerated items for us if they are delivered. In a perfect world, our room would be ready early---but I am not counting my plans on that. Looking to hear any insight you might have about not placing a grocery order until the day we arrive when I may have a better sense of when our room will be ready. Any recommendations on places we could place an order that day to have it delivered that same day?

As another option, we are just looking for some basic things---water, bagels and cream cheese, milk, yogurt, goldfish/pretzels etc. Is there somewhere nearby that we could walk to since we won't have a car?

The mini mart attached to the Speedway gas station has stuff. I think you can buy items like yogurt at Fuel and Java at Dolphin Swan.

I usually do an order through publix the night before and choose a delivery window that works for me. Same day orders can be done, it just gets trickier with the timing I think...the delivery might be later than you'd ideally want.

We used Kroger delivery and were able to schedule a drop off really early the day after check in - I think our window was 630 to 7 am

There are a couple of on-site choices.

Fuel on the 3rd floor of the Dolphin (lobby level). There is also the Screen Door General Store at the Boardwalk (located right on the boardwalk. A quick safe walk. It services the DVC Villas at the Boardwalk so has quite a few snack / quick breakfast options including milk, and yogurt.

Further away but still walk able is the Speedway Gas Station located across the street from the Boardwalk driveway on Epcot Resort Blvd. Some guests chose to visit the Speedway for cheaper beer and some liquor options.

I think you can get same-day with Instacart. But I think if you’re waiting until your room is ready (likely in the afternoon), your chances of getting a delivery window available later in the day is quite small.

If it were me, I’d order delivery for early evening. Your room should be ready by then and you can either meet the delivery person or have bell service bring to your room.

We’ve had real good luck with DoorDash. Always get delivery within an hour of placing our order.

I would schedule the order for delivery that evening. Depending on delivery times and your morning plans an early morning delivery the next day might be an option as well.

Check delivery prices and then check the price of an Uber. It may be cheaper (and faster) to get an Uber and go to Publix or Walmart yourself. Of course, that does take up park time, which is also valuable.

I recently did a Kroger delivery late at night on our arrival day. I knew we would be at the resort, hanging out by the pool (we were at CBR, enjoying the main pool). I ordered alcohol, so I needed to be present for the delivery, but that wasn't an issue since the pool is very close to Bell Services. Delivery fees for off-hour deliveries are a few dollars cheaper, which is nice.
