Judique Sorry you are having some health issues to deal with. Getting older isn't for sissies as they say. It is challenging!

Pea Thinking of you. Hoping your Dr. appt goes well.

Good morning. It is 71 already and heading to 90 today. I walk early, around 7:30 to get my nature walk in. Yesterday I went to the gym. My hip abductor issue is acting up, of course before a trip. I know from talking with the PA years ago at the orthopedist office that walking is the best PT for it. I do feel better after walking and doing the treadmill. It is just a bit sore in the AM now if I need to bend down. I try not to sit too long and keep getting up and stretching a bit. Ironically I hurt it initially years and years ago doing the hip abductor machine at the gym. No more of that. Kenny is getting in planning mode for the Legoland trip. He found restaurants and a Hannafords right near the hotel. Legoland looks OK and the kids will have fun but of course it is not any where near Disney level. Plus Kenny found a fun place to go nearby that has go karts and other activities too The water park for Legoland consists of a splash pad that you reserve for 20 minutes. LOL! No thanks. We will use the hotel pool. It will be a trip of good memories and being together.

Have a good day. Meeting with boss today and bringing up cutting back hours in September!

Good morning. Sunny and bright now, going to be 84 with chance of strong storms this afternoon, none yesterday despite the forecast. I hurried and got the lawn finished before 11, just in case. Now it's done for the next few days.

I have errands to do this morning and then I go and pick up my new phone. I was just looking at my receipt from last week when I paid off both phones, and it says it was last Wed at 8:32 am. That's a good trick because they don't even open until 9. I was there at more like 9:32, I think they need to fix their registers, lol.

Summer had to go and pick up her husband yesterday, she was supposed to let me know that they made it home safely, but of course, she didn't.

Have a good day everyone

Extra health and healing prayers Judique (I love what you said about Tiger and agree) and Pea. You, too, dear Bobbi.

Dad will be calling Empire this morning to find out how long much longer our floor work can be put off. He won't be up for it in 2 weeks. They have been very kind and God willing, will once again also be accommodating.

I am deeply praying that I am able to resume getting the recovery care I desperately need by Friday at the very latest. Thank you all for your extra prayers. I know God's will, will be done no matter what.

For Kirby (extra hug and we miss you) and Footballmouse, Boost membership through Ralph's (Kroger for both of you) is half off through July 29th I believe.

To everyone, right now (I don't know for how long) Walmart+ membership is also half off.

Have a great day friends. Happy Wednesday. I will check back later.

I bet nobody remembered how to adjust them for Daylight Saving Time.

Slow morning here, as I had kind of a dizzy spell when I woke up - just dehydrated from the heat, I think, as I feel OK now. But I took it easy for a while and watched some TV. Then I got on the computer to help DS with a flyer he was making... and now I'm a cat bed  so I guess I will be resting a bit more.

What a great reason to chill, @PollyannaMom, you are a cat bed!!

My good news is from eye dr, nothing to be concerned about the eye migraines. They are not indicating something serious!🙂

Tomorrow Tom has an endoscopy, later today an oncologist checkup, ( she’s the one who says Tom has a remarkable brain for someone his age!)

We are finalizing air for the DVC MC that sails August 2! They are booked so far in advance, it’s been a long wait, and I am absolutely ready!

@flyingdumbo127, I sure hope your recovery care is resumed soon!🙏

Sitting waiting to go see a doctor in the practice, not my regular guy and have him check out this tick bite.
I expect an antibiotic.

Early this morning I was able to get a 6:45am appointment for my blood tests, so I jumped on it and that's done.

When I came home I was able to have a 1/2 bran muffin and some coffee and it tasted pretty good. Later I had some good results.

Afterwards I took a nap and actually slept about an hour. Awake again and in pain from lower back on down. At least it's not the shooting pain. I'll discuss it with the 2pm doctor as it will be next Tuesday before my regular guy returns

Got home around 11. It's clouding up, so maybe we are going to get rain.

Did Walmart quickly as it was almost empty, as was Aldi. Got to the cell phone store, and there was only 1 customer and 3 reps. I ended up with an 'in training' one. He tells me that my monthly bill is going to be $111. I don't think so, I asked where he came up with that one. My service plan is $55 with $5 off for auto pay. That's the only thing that should be on the bill. He said well, with phone protection and activation that's what it comes to. First of all, there's no activation fee if you buy your phone outright, which I was doing. Secondly I don't need insurance, I have it through my bank. He fiddled around with the computer and said with taxes your bill should be about $55. That I can live with. They had a instore sweepstakes thing going, and you had to scan the QR code to see if you won. I won a $100 store credit, which I can use towards the bill, so that will be almost 2 months free.
He had to call their customer service to get Don's name off the bill and have the phone shut off, and that took forever. No one was answering him. Finally did that, got the old phone transferred to the new one, except for my ringtones. This time it at least transferred my pictures, which it didn't do last time.

Now I'm tired. Went to bed at 1, fell asleep around 2, and the alarm went off at 6:30. Time for a nap, lol

Feel better @PollyannaMom and @Judique

Hard and long day. I am blessed to have the support of a higher up staff member. The top administrator is out of town. What I need approval for is up to him. Please, dear friends, always get any agreement of any importance in writing at the exact time it is reached! Had I done that, I wouldn't be in this horrible situation now. Extra prayers appreciated. Dad said, and I know he is absolutely right, I have what's right on my side and of course Who forever is Right in His perfect will. Jesus. As a human this is heartbreaking and so hard to be stuck. Thank you all for listening.

Dad did talk with Josh, our Empire representative, who was very understanding. Josh said he would get back to my dad tomorrow with what date (Dad gave him two good weeks) will work for our floor work.

I hope as always all of you have had a good day :grouphug:

@flyingdumbo127 Glad your Dad is able to get the floor delayed until he is better able to have it done. Praying you get what you need from the administrator.

PollyannaMom Hope you are feeling better from your dizzy spell. It is easy to get dehydrated in this weather.

Good morning. Yesterday was a hot and humid day with temps in the low 90s. Today is supposed to be in the mid 80s with some showers. I did some errands after work yesterday. My boss is fine with my hours reduction to 30 beginning Sept 1. I also told her 25 hours a week is my goal by Spring 2026. I can do most of what I do now in 30 hours as some things are requiring less time and some tasks will be more automated by next year. I feel better having a plan in place. She also said she would ask the big boss if I only need to drive into the office when she is on vacation or otherwise unable to come into the office on a Thursday. She is fine with it and happy to do the deposits which is the only reason I go into the office. He allows others to work exclusively from home so it would be fair to allow me to also. 🤞

Have a good day.

Good morning all! Had a long night with the dull pain awakening me shortly after midnite.
Got up and walked the floor which helps a bit but was difficult on the other hand because I was still very tired.

Tried to get comfortable on many chairs and on my bed while waiting until 5am to get up, have my breakfast and take my antibiotic, doxycycline for the tick bite, a 'just in case' of Lyme disease. I have to take that with food so timing it to an early breakfast and a 6pm dinner. The pain killer/anti-inflammatory I've put on a 10am/10pm schedule in hopes it will get me through a longer part of the nights to come.

Standing and walking helps with the pain as long as my strength holds out, but right now I'm tiring easily. I will discuss with my doctor about seeing a chiropractor on Tuesday, which feels like a long time away. I used a chiropractor a few times during another flareup but it was quite a long time ago, when both I and my bones were younger. He could get me back into alignment and the relief was instant, but I was comfortable with letting him manipulate my spine. I'm not so sure with a stranger today.

Meanwhile, hopefully the ibuprophen (high dose prescription) anti-inflammatory will kick in. Doc from yesterday is thinking a possible pinched nerve. Having gone through this in the past, I know how quickly it can happen and go away, unless it's something different. I'll probably be having an MRI after my Tuesday appointment to explore the cause.

I don't really want to have the injection as it is pretty painful. One pain to ease another I guess.

Off to feed my pets and take my old cat for his shot. That's about 5 min away and takes another 5 min. The biggest pain of that is getting him into the carrier and paying the bill. He will be so mad until he's back home.

Glad your boss is amenable to the work hours that suit you. With your experience I'm sure she is getting more than 40 hours of performance from you versus a less skilled newer hire who has to ask a lot of questions. I also know from watching my DD who still does 2 days at home, that you probably get more done with no interruptions. The office environment can be a time suck.

@PollyannaMom - the cat bed comment was one I know well, and I read it and missed that you were not feeling great. Good to hear you are better.

Judique Hope you feel better soon. Pinched nerves are so painful but as you say, can go away quickly too. Hope you can get some rest today. I do get more done at working at home. My boss did my job before me and the job has had alot added to it over the years and has alot of moving parts and tasks. It is easier for her if I stay even at 25 hours a week than training someone new. She knows that.

Thank you so much dear Snowysmom. Your boss is so very blessed to have you. I'm grateful that it sounds like she knows that. She should :)

I will find out later today if the administrator is back from his vacation yet. In 5 minutes or less (I typed up a very simple agreement form) he can change my life and path towards living a normal life again forever. I am asking nothing of him or this facility otherwise particularly because we are talking about before 7am! Not even during business hours. I will update when I can. Huge thank you to you and all of my Quacker family for your loving support and prayers.

Big hug and prayers dear Judique. I am so sorry you are in pain :'( Praying for you, my friend.

Good morning. The sun is out now, but we're heading for 90 with a chance of storms. We had a bad storm around 3, another one around 5 and yet another one just as I went to bed at 1 am. It's so muggy and sticky outside, I don't even want to walk out the door. Of course I had to, just to feed the birds and cats. Tiger seems happy coming for just breakfast, I watched her when she left and she went right to the shed ramp and stuck her little body in the hole and went under. Maybe it's cooler under there, who knows. I can't get under there to find out. If I get on the ground, I can look thru the lattice work that's around the bottom of the shed, but I'm not doing that in this weather, lol

Loving my new phone (Galaxy S25). So much faster response. I can do without a lot of the garbage they put on them, I've already uninstalled a lot of the games and things I don't need. Have my ringtones and notifications set, just put the screen protector on along with my new case (a little irritated, they said it was a different size than the 22, so I ordered a new case and found out it's exactly the same size, could have just kept the one I had before, but oh well, new phone deserved a new case I guess, lol). My last phone was purple, and I was hoping they'd have a purple one this time, but I'm happy with the mint green.

Making a quick run to the farmers market for some corn and a couple of fresh cantaloupes. One of the farms here have the most delicious one's I've ever had.

Sending prayers and pixie dust to all of my fellow Quackers who need it.

Have a good day.
