Sad. It does not look good for this girl's father She seems like a child that just wants her father's affection and love. I don't know how much of it she has received from the man.

And, if this article from a few years ago is correct, Lamar's children may not be getting any life insurance $$ if he does indeed pass away.

True. Possibly the same way a quick scan of a life, something like running a background check, might not give a full picture of who a person is.

He's fighting for his life. He has kids. That may be a the more important focus.

So far (knock on wood) the Kardashians seem to be acting like normal humans with regard to the sensitivity of the situation. They've kept their cameras at bay, and Khloe flew out Lamar's father and kids on her dime. They're not allowing any of Lamar's partying/brothel friends in the room at all.

I believe it was confirmed that the hospital found drugs in his system, and the brothel is now saying he did have cocaine on him over the weekend. So I believe it was a combination of coke use as well as the herbal Viagra, which TMZ is saying has really dangerous side effects. And he used a lot of it.

TMZ is saying 50/50 chance of recovery. He's also had multiple strokes, so brain damage is a concern that they can't determine at the moment. Very sad, lots of prayers to them.

I think the brothel is partially to blame. I'm sure they are loving the publicity regardless of the situation. I've seen the owner and the "media coordinator" of the brothel quoted a few times now.

They interviewed the owner of the brothel and some other witness this morning on GMA. They talked about the drugs he was using, and that he ordered the herbal viagra from them. They keep it in stock. They said he seemed fine, was not overpartying. He then got a phone call and his demeanor changed. He was suddenly sad and asked to be left alone in his room. Maybe a suicide? After he did not emerge for awhile they sent people in

I saw some of that on the news and heard them played on clips on the radio. That's not the medical information I was referring to, because they would have none to give in the first place.

I don't think the brothel is speaking out for publicity. They may be able to operate legally there as a brothel, but open use of illicit drugs likely places their operating license in jeopardy. I think they're out there yapping up a storm trying to get out from underneath suspicion of how they're conducting business and trying to distance themselves as a possible source of illicit drugs. It's for darn sure authorities are trying to determine if there was any cleanup done after discovery and before calling 9-1-1.

Sadly when it is someone famous there is always a "friend" willing to run to the media for a price. It happens every time and shows you why some famous people have such a hard time having relationships. They just don't know who is there for the money and who is there for them. It is very sad and yes we can go on and on about how they chose to be celebrities and chose the lifestyle but I'm a believer in respect of all people and if I wouldn't want my private medical issues getting out why would I expect that to be okay for a celebrity. The Kardashians already knew this was an issue and proved it when they sent fake photos of North West to friends to see how fast they would pop up on TMZ. It is very sad and I wish the family could process this in private and that Khloe has the support she's going to need to continue making the right decisions and then if the worst happens ends up doing the right thing and giving Lamar's estate to his children and not keeping it for herself.

I understand that. I'm also watching that family with a raised eyebrow quite frankly. Their empire, which has been built substantially absent product and performance, has been unquestionably built by feeding media attention, grooming media attention and doing their best to shape the media narrative. The main controlling forces in building that empire have been reported to be on scene.

A friend who is a nurse spoke exactly what I speculated might be an issue. His young age and his athletic background may prolong an inevitable situation.

His behavior is definitely messed up, but I agree he's not known for being a menace to others, just a tortured soul. I think it's sad and must be so painful for those who love him.

I always tell people in things like this that there is really no reason to despise or hate addicts and substance abusers. Most of the time they do more than enough damage to themselves and they loathe themselves so much that they just don't need for the rest of us to heap more onto them. I know nothing about the guy and I imagine he's probably done his share of damage to his kids and family, which is really messed up. But hopefully they can find some peace with their feelings about all of this.

It's always so hard on the friends and families, anybody who has watched somebody they know and love in that sort of destructive death spiral knows the pain. My thoughts are with everybody.

Surprisingly, not much different, than any other child, who's parents are estranged. Mom is pretty bitter. They were high school sweethearts. The NBA lifestyle and death of their son was especially difficult. Throw in high profile marriage to a Kardashian...

BTW. Odom/Morales were due in court next week, over child custody.

See, this is why media & the public often don't respect celebrities privacy. Why is his daughter tweeting right away??? You put yourself out there on social media, you forfeit your privacy. They do it to themselves, don't blame the media or the public.

I do think the whole situation is sad. Isn't his partying a big part of his breakup with Khloe? I try not to "follow" the Kartrashians (love that BTW!!). But since they're everywhere, sometimes I hear bits & pieces!
