What is also interesting is that the sale applies to the month of October. Usually the fall sale started in late October. Also the sale extends well into December usually ended in early December.

Attendance is down and hotel occupancy rates must be lower.

None for Pixar Place, but I notice my dates at the end of August it appears to be pretty full! Maybe this will get people to switch over to DLH haha

The 20% off discount for the DL hotel is one of the better deals Disney has had in a while, IMO. I just booked a room which may or may not have a pool view at the Disneyland Hotel for roughly the cost of the most basic room at Pixar Place.
