On Friday I received an invitation from DVC to take an on-line survey related to DVC. I was going to type the letter out verbatim here to share with my DVC friends, but I think I threw it out after completing the survey.
To paraphrase, the letter indicated that a select number of members were being asked for their opinions on a number of DVC matters, and that the results would be shared with members at the condo meetings this fall.
It took about 10 minutes to complete the entire survey on-line. It seemed to mostly focus on the present, and rarely asked "what would you think if we..." type of questions. And, NO, there was no mention whatsoever of a discount on Annual Passes or other ticket media.
All of the questions were multiple choice, except for a few occasions when I was asked for free-form comments.
Here are some samples of questions that I can recall:
How far out do you typically book your stays?
There were several questions used go gauge the percent of time that I would stay at my Home resort in the next 3 years vs. other resorts.
I was asked to rank the frequency with which I use current discounts. Categories included Theme Park Dining, Resort Dining, Downtown Disney Dining, UPH, Disney Store Discount and the member Golf program. Available response options were basically Frequently, Sometimes and Never.
They asked the preferred method of booking stays. I think the options were Phone, Email, Website and Fax.
I was asked to rank the current status of the web site. I ranked it pretty low and was asked for specific comments which included on-line bookings, point balances, etc. I also mentioned that I thought they should make the member site more warm and friendly toward members--include info on Community Hall programs, boat and bike rental prices, even restaurant menus.
Some mention was made of the Member Homecoming, but I don't exactly remember the context.
They asked me to rank different areas of DVC itself such as Member Services, Accounting, etc.
They asked if I had ever booked rental cars / flights / hotels through DVC's travel agency.
That's all I can think of now. If more come to mind, I'll add to the post later.
Anyone else get one of these letters? I know the letter asked for a response by November 8th, so I guess anyone who was sent a survey request should have gotten it by now.
