Disney Dream January 3, 2012

I did a search and couldn't see that anyone started a thread for the 5 day, double CC cruise leaving January 3, 2012. It is our family's birthday cruise leaving on my birthday and my DD will be turning 3 while onboard on the 7th. My DS will be 5 a few days after the cruise concludes on the 10th. Anyone else booked? One year away!

We just booked yesterday, and my 6 yo is already driving me nuts. We're all pretty excited, not just her.

I am going with DH, DS (7) and DD (5). This will be our 3rd Disney cruise and 1st on the Dream. We booked right before Christmas and let our kids know on Christmas morning that we going. Can't wait! Just think, one year from today we will be in Castaway Cay! It beats the 4 inches of snow we got at home yesterday.

Just got our reservation stuff in the mail, with our stateroom number, etc. I got on the disneycruise.com site and looked at the Onboard Activities details page--none of the activities show the Dream. When do you think they will have that updated?

Lots of celebrations on board! DW and I will be celebrating our 11th wedding anniversary too I guess. It isn't until the 21st of the month, but since we are celebrating 3 birthdays then why not?

Not sure when activities will be visible for the Dream. Anyone have any suggestions?

We just got back from the 1/3 5 day double dip on the magic. Loved it, and decided to go again next year on the Dream. It is me, DH, and the little ones Kiera (5) and Rhys (2.5). We are looking forward to Rhys being old enough to leave in the OC for a bit. Hopefully he will love it as much as his sister did this year!

We're also celebrating our wedding anniversary--but 6 months after the fact. We'll have our 3 kids with us--19 yo DS, 15 yo DS and 7 yo DD at the time of sailing. DSs (both of them!) are eager to go on AquaDuck (the slide). Our DD adores "her" club and cannot wait to get onboard. We looked at the cruise site tonight and my ears are ringing from her squeals.

Luci's Momma, I see that you homeschool, so do I. My DS will be 7 while we are on the cruise. Glad to see other homeschool families aboard.

Tiger Fan, my DD was asking me today if she will make any friends on board! I'll tell her your son will be there. We looked at the cruise ship site today and love how their club looks. The pool area for kids and families looks nicer than on Magic and Wonder. Love how they put the two pools in the same area.

Luci will be 7 at time of sailing, too.

PS--we are tiger fans, of Auburn. Is that your Tiger, too? And so happy how the BSC bowl turned out.:

We are currently booked in one of the 5E verandah rooms on deck 5 with the extended verandah. I cant decide whether that is cool, or whether I want the privacy of being able to look out over the railing in my pjs. lol.

I hopemy daughter (who will be 6) makes some friends on this trip! She is super outgoing, but shy making new friends. So, hopefully we can arrange a meetup early.

We were just on the Magic Western Caribbean and booked this while onboard. We're booked on DVC points on the preceeding cruise for New Year's Eve so, while we are currently hoping to be on this cruise as well (always wanted to try a back to back!), how this year treats us financially will be the determining factor.

We'll be celebrating our daughter's 18th birthday on the NYE cruise but I know she'll be happy to help you all finish off the lovely cakes they provide....

So, for now, we'll assume we're coming, hope for a great tax refund, and may have to crack open the piggybank in time for final reservations, lol!

Luci's momma, sorry, the Tigers I love are the Detroit Tigers. Looking forward to escaping the Michigan winter next year to go on the Dream.

Tigers of any stripe are good, in my opinion.

We are having a cold and snowy winter this year, too (9 inches last week, more snow last night, rare for us)--so escaping snow for Caribbean warmth sounds good to me, too!

Add us to the list! DH, DD15 & DD13 (well, she'll turn 14 on the drive home from the cruise ) I feel like a little kid--just giddy whenever I think about it! I just want to sit here and read any and all information I can find!

We are getting ready to book this cruise, as well (have a hold at the moment). It will be our 20th anniversary (on 1/4), and we're bringing the kids: dd 16, ds 15, dd 13, dd 7, and ds 5.

Our first cruise, and I am unutterably excited!

We're homeschoolers, too, btw.

We are booked and excited to see some sun as we are coming from Alaska. A little sad as DH will not be able to come but have wanted to take our kids on a Disney Cruise before they no longer want to do "travel" with the family. Bringing DS who will be 16 and DD who is 12. Hope the sun will shine away before we return to our season of darkness!

We are booked on this cruise too! We'll be bring our DD (14), DD (12), DS (almost 9), and DS (5). This will be our third Disney cruise and we all love it!
