Disney Dream January 3, 2012

Just booked today for this cruise, using our DVC pts! Celebrating our 25th Wedding Annv. about 6 months later.

Will be me and DH taking our DS (21) and DD (19) with us this time. They weren't too happy when we went on the Disney Magic last year without them.

So we will be celebrating NYE at DW and then a cruise on the Dream!!!!

ummmmm plenty of time to get new magnets made.

We're booked, now, too. I'm so excited...and so happy to see how many families here already have kids about the same age as mine. My dds (who will be 16 and 13 when we cruise) are usually inseparable, and the club age-limits don't really allow for that so I'm really hoping to have a few ready-made introductions for them ahead of time.

Hey everyone we booked this cruise when we were on the wonder for the panama crossing cruise! We are very excited for this cruise and looking forward to meeting everyone. We are also doing the 4 night cruise after this one so that we get more time on the Dream! lol

I did a search and couldn't see that anyone started a thread for the 5 day, double CC cruise leaving January 3, 2012. It is our family's birthday cruise leaving on my birthday and my DD will be turning 3 while onboard on the 7th. My DS will be 5 a few days after the cruise concludes on the 10th. Anyone else booked? One year away!

Just got our reservation stuff in the mail, with our stateroom number, etc. I got on the disneycruise.com site and looked at the Onboard Activities details page--none of the activities show the Dream. When do you think they will have that updated?

Luci, I went on the DCL site, typed my reservation, and here it what it says:

"Start booking onboard fun and Port Adventures on October 5, 2011. Your vacation must be paid in full. "

Luci's momma, sorry, the Tigers I love are the Detroit Tigers. Looking forward to escaping the Michigan winter next year to go on the Dream.

Michigan here too!! We went on the NY Cruise on the Magic this year and it was soooo cool to go from 18 to 78 degrees in the Bahamas!!!!

Glad to see that our family is not the only ones with older kids/college age still wanting to go on vacation with mom and dad to DW and cruise!!!

We are spending NYE at AKV this year. Last year we did NYE at BCV and really had a blast...in fact too much to do. So decided for 2011 we were going for a more relaxing AKV and taking it easy before the boarding the Dream!

Tawnia, it is awesome! We did it on our last cruise and it was really fun to come to our stateroom and find all the gifts we received!

It is so worth doing!

It's a gift exchange we do with our fellow cruisers! Too much fun!

If you type "fish extenders" on the search tool with DCL forum you'll find plenty of info! Did it on our last cruise and it was so much fun!

Hi Everyone! I am just off the Magic and we booked this cruise while onboard!

I'm Jennifer and will be traveling with my husband Ryan and our two daughters Allyn (7) and Evelyn (4).

I look forward to getting to know you all before our trip! As of now we plan on keeping this a secret from the girls until Christmas morning! I'm very hopeful we will be able to save enough to add a few days at the World before the cruise. I fear with New Years right before it will be out of the budget, but I am going to try! Anyone else planning on the World before?

We booked this cruise as well while on the Magic a month ago. We are just waiting on the school calendar to come out for next year.

Hoping we have the same time off as last year, this meaning school will be still out until we get back. Because if it is not 2 weeks after Christmasand ends up being one before Christmas one after we will have to change our date.

My son will be starting high school next Sept. so we don't want him to fall behind. He will be (14) when we cruise and my dd will be (11). It was hard enough this time around keeping up.
