Deenneeeee - you are going "out"!!!! :woohoo: yippieeee I am so proud of you!! is Jay gonna be there? I am such a chickin IRL I'm much more bold in my fantasy world...and so I really am proud of you for hte changes you have made in your life. Go on and Brag - you deserve it and we would never take that away from you...you have worked your behind off...literally:thumbsup2

I just did the best thing for my diet. I went clothes shopping, yep still fat, yep nothing still fits right, nor looks good, so I bought some workout pants, having trouble with the low rise style showing to much crack, and whats the deal with the fraking short shorts for women...in a XL no less...low rise booty shorts DO NOT look good on my XL booty,:scared: & why oh why can I not find a tshirt long enough to cover my derriere, or at least on that wont ride up and let my belly hang out when I do the cling and press ...gross:scared1:

So I got new workout pants and some sassy sandals, altho I dont know why casue its never gonna be warm enuff to wear them!

I've actually stopped telling people how much I've lost unless they specifically ask. Sometimes I feel kind of guilty because its been coming off so fast and so easily... then I remind myself that I AM working hard... it just doesn't SEEM like it 'cause I'm enjoying it so much. And I have total confidence that this is a permanent change because I've never had this feeling like this before. I did my 20 year sentence... time to leave the prison of my fat behind (pun not intended, but appropriate anyway :woohoo: ).

i'm with you, dene! i'm actually enjoying this whole eating right and exercising thing (much to my surprise!). i just feel better and i love making progress. i think once you start enjoying your workouts, it's a lot easier to really get gung-ho about it and that's when the pounds start falling off. not that i'm losing as fast as you, but i know what you mean! :)

Lynda! I was also marriedon May 18th! My goal was for us to go to WDW for our 5th anniversary, stay on the property, and have the guy who made our cake send a small version of our wedding cake to the room and have it waiting for us when we got there. Best laid plans, right? One of my best friends is getting married May 19th and I'm in the wedding! Sheesh! Oh well, that allows us that much more time to plan and save for the trip, maybe for when I graduate with my RN. (Iwas reading your trip report which forced a response!)

MB is a fun place, but quite busy! There are some Imagineers (yes, Disney Imagineers!!!) here right now working on the Hard Rock theme park they're building up the road from where I live. (If you're familiar at all with MB, it's on 501, just west of the Waterway.)

Cool! My BF was at our rehearsal dinner the night of her 5th anniversary, which it sounds like you might be doing! They were married on 5/17/97, and we were married on 5/18/02. You'll find a lot of coincidences around here! We are all connected! ;)

yes, i love that movie! my favorite character was the girl who everyone thought was fat (but she wasn't fat at all!) and she ended up winning the dance contest. i think her nickname was pudge or something like that. anyway, i love the way they talk. "it's the most fun!!!"

i haven't been to myrtle beach since i was like 13. wow....that's a longer hiatus than WDW for me! but i remember we had a blast when we went. i heard the closed down the pavilion. is that true?

YES!!!! It's the MOST fun! I love that! I have to watch that movie now! Wonder when I can fit that in. She was my favorite too! Pudge was what they called her, and she was played by Annabeth Gish, but I don't remember her real name in the movie now!

and whats the deal with the fraking short shorts for women...in a XL no less...low rise booty shorts DO NOT look good on my XL booty,:scared:

i've never understood why they make really short shorts in anything above a size 14??!!???? why would you encourage those with no fashion sense (or common sense for that matter) to even think about wearing those???? i hope i'm not offending anyone, but i'm sure you all agree that pretty much anyone over a size 10 doesn't look to spiffy in daisy dukes! :rotfl:

this just reminded me of a funny gym story, although i have no idea why b/c it's not about short shorts. okay. we do this exercise on the ball called superman. it's for your back. you put the ball under your waist line below your belly button and lay tummy-down on it. then you put the soles of your feet up against a wall (with your toes touching the floor) and you raise your chest and head up and hold it and then repeat. sometimes you can put a weighted bar on your back, too, for a challenge. anyway, when we do this exercise i always try to avoid backing up to the mirror b/c i happened to turn around and look at my reflection once while in the "up" position and let me tell ya....it was not flattering. just imagine your behind clinched together and laying down on your stomach. not a pretty sight, especially if this is your problem area, which it is my MAIN problem area. yikes!!!!

IF the weather is okay enough that the other folks decide to go, yep, I'm going "out". Not sure where... but I don't care. :thumbsup2 Jay said something about "staying in" tonight... but he changes his plans at the drop of a hat.

And I had LOTS of fun "stretching" him... I actually got to touch him.

Go on and Brag - you deserve it and we would never take that away from you...you have worked your behind off...literally:thumbsup2

Oh, I brag HERE... just not IRL any more... unless someone asks. Total strangers have been asking me lately! :lmao:

Criteria for clothing... Can it double as workout clothes? ('Cuz I don't want to spend much $ on clothes... yet) When I raise my arms up in Yoga, is my belly gonna show? :worship:

So I got new workout pants and some sassy sandals, altho I dont know why casue its never gonna be warm enuff to wear them!

It is simply WRONG to have to have my heater on in APRIL!

Congrats on the loss! You didn't say your current weight, but at 5'8" and 330 lbs (mostly around the middle) I was able to ride EVERYTHING at WDW. :woohoo:

Sorry! Current weight is 162.8! BTW, I just moved here from Wichita Falls, close to your end of the world!

i'm with you, dene! i'm actually enjoying this whole eating right and exercising thing (much to my surprise!). i just feel better and i love making progress. i think once you start enjoying your workouts, it's a lot easier to really get gung-ho about it and that's when the pounds start falling off. not that i'm losing as fast as you, but i know what you mean! :)

As far as speed... it's all proportional :thumbsup2

Let's say I decide I want to end up 150 lbs (haven't decided yet... waiting to see how I "look"). ANYWAY, that's a 180 lb weight loss. Sixty lbs. is 33% toward goal (WOW, just realized that!).

If someone started at 150 lbs and wanted to weigh 132 lbs, that's an 18 lb loss. Six lbs out of 18 is 33%.

Plus, the more you weigh, the more calories you burn at rest AND during exercise. I can burn more calories in an hour on the treadmill than someone half my size. And I had been soooo sedentary and was eating soooo poorly, that every little change I made became magnified when combined together.

yep Punkin, I gotta say I am a solid 14 - sometimes 16 depending on who makes the pants. and it aint a pretty sight, sause I gots lots of cellulite, I need those "in style" long shorts, but unfortunately they only make those in like dress shorts! So I believe I will either stick to my pants, or wear my hubbys shorts...(they at least come to my knees) sides, the booty shorts sure do show alot when you raise your legs for crunches or for side kicks in kickboxing! :lmao:

dene - have you washed your hands yet? :rotfl: I'm so happy for you,,,I'da stuttered and said something really stooopid

i hope i'm not offending anyone, but i'm sure you all agree that pretty much anyone over a size 10 doesn't look to spiffy in daisy dukes! :rotfl:

No offense taken! And I'd add over a certain age (which, yes, I am over). And would somebody tell those 9th grade girls that super tight shirts (especially when two are layered) are not your friend if you have ANY fluffy spots on your belly, waist, or sides.

this just reminded me of a funny gym story,

:scared: Had something funny (to me who works with teenagers all the time) happen in yoga today. During the "final relaxation", we're all laying there in the dark and the stomach of the woman next to me just KEEPS gurgling... and I'm trying desperately not to to giggle... I have to cover my face with my hands, and then close my ears with my thumbs 'cuz I was about to lose it! :lmao:

Sorry! Current weight is 162.8! BTW, I just moved here from Wichita Falls, close to your end of the world!

Then sweety, you're going to fit (and look) FAB-u-lous on all those WDW rides!

dene - have you washed your hands yet? :rotfl: I'm so happy for you,,,I'da stuttered and said something really stooopid

DARN! Didn't think of that before I cooked my lunch! And sweetheart, everything that comes out of my mouth is really stoooopid (or twisted). :rolleyes1

And I was very proud that I was able to "help" him and inspired/convinced him to come to one of my Yoga classes... and he's also going to start coming to the Cardio class right before Yoga the next week. So, every Tuesday, I'll get to see him "in action" for an hour and a half. Am I a perv for liking to watch cute guys work out? :cool2:

i just did my little calculation and right now i'm at 36%!!!!! (my goal weight is 130 and i was 158 and i've lost 12 pounds). that made me feel like i've accomplished a lot more! thanks! :thumbsup2

so my number crunching tells me I am at 22% lossI wanted to lose 32 lbs, maybe more

I'll let you knwo when I get there...I'd rather be buff at 170 then flabby at 160

I just think its funny that these girls mommas dont say nothing to them about how bad it looks, not to mention the muffin top hanging over the top of low rise jeans.

least it was a tummy gurgle and not a poot:lmao:

Twisted is good, I resemble that remark from time to time

I'm proud that you have developed a relationship and that you realize that you are an inspiration. and if you are a perv, then I am one too, and I really dont see a problem with it. Think of it as research ;) learning to appreciate the way the body moves:rotfl: then you'll know exactly where that chocolate needs to go.:rolleyes1

Ha! Who says you'll never use math in real life!

EXACTLY... that's one reason I haven't picked a goal weight. I don't mind a little extra muscle weight if it will make me look cool, musclular chick hot... no plans to be creepy over-muscular chick. :scared:

Right, just one hot momma is my goal. With the strength to lift whatever I want to lift and endurance to take me where I wanna go...and confidence to walk tall and proud and look people in the eye

(I turning a few heads in the process wouldn't be so bad either)

Guess the muffin-top girls have the same Mommas as the why-are-they-trying-out-for-American-Idol kids.

Research... RIIIIIIGHT! THAT's what I'm doin'! Can you imagine if we "researched" the guys at the gym to the extent we research our trips to WDW! "So Harley, what did you think of Jay's workout when you were there? I'm looking at going back real soon. Should I make a ressie now or wait for free dining?"

Turning a few heads would be acceptable :thumbsup2

Weather Channel guy just corrected an earlier statement... the last time it snowed here in Spring was April 8th... 1938!

At least we aren't in the record snows in Upper Michigan! Over 4 feet!
