I just did the best thing for my diet. I went clothes shopping, yep still fat, yep nothing still fits right, nor looks good, so I bought some workout pants, having trouble with the low rise style showing to much crack, and whats the deal with the fraking short shorts for women...in a XL no less...low rise booty shorts DO NOT look good on my XL booty,:scared: & why oh why can I not find a tshirt long enough to cover my derriere, or at least on that wont ride up and let my belly hang out when I do the cling and press ...gross:scared1:

I agree with everyone else...I hate going shopping for shorts b/c either they are granny waist high (2in. over my belly button which drives me nuts!!) or 1in. from an area I would rather not show!! :scared1: I can't find anything in between. I have better luck with capris but I hate wearing those ED in Disney. Tough being a girl. ;)

i just did my little calculation and right now i'm at 36%!!!!! (my goal weight is 130 and i was 158 and i've lost 12 pounds). that made me feel like i've accomplished a lot more! thanks! :thumbsup2

I shall jump on the calculation wagon...I am at about 25% in 2.5 weeks. Not too shabby. I think the last 50% will be harder to lose IMO. :confused3

Been tweaking ADRs today. My future BIL is coming to WDW for one day with us...just driving in from a friend's house to go golfing at Magnolia with DF. Had to rearrange my ADRs in order to do a dinner with him somewhere..he won't have park tickets. What a nice future SIL I am. But after I got it all changed I realized I booked us at the same TS twice so I have to call back.

Snow is starting to pick up here...DF is going out for his bach. party and that will leave me here alone with the dog, cats and Season 2 of 24. Ooh la la!

That's what I'm figuring... and afraid of.

So good of him to leave you in Jack's capable hands. :happytv:

just a flyby post to say that...........

this very minute in exactly one month i will be eating lunch at le cellier!!!!!!!!!!!!

QUOTE]

Ooooh Le Cellier!! I haven't been there yet. But, I drool over the trip reports that include it.

OK, I had 2 friends in high school who I was very close to. The 3 of us were best friends. And we used to watch the movie Shag. Who's seen it? I tell you, I love that movie! It makes me want to go to Myrtle Beach so bad! But I often wonder if it is still popular?

I love Shag! My friends and I watched it together at a sleepover a week before everyone went away to college. (Well, everyone but me since I went to a local college). I think we may have even watched it twice that night.

I've got to get some of those corn dogs!!! Wild Oats maybe?
Thanks for the bio! So nice to meet you! :)

I get mine at Super Walmart. I think I have seen them at Super Target too.

I didn't make it to the store today. I ended up having the worst headache!:sad2: It is better now. So, no weigh in total yet. I agree that shorts are so hard to buy! They either look really "frumpy" or they are way too short. I have been buying capris.

:sad2: Bummer... friend I was going "out" with decided the weather was to crappy to go "out".

Oh, well... Jay probably wouldn't have been there anyway :rotfl:

So what's everyone's plans for Christmas tomorrow??? :santa: (oops! I mean EASTER!! ) A local radio station played a few Xmas songs today..nice!

Have a holly jolly Easter...
It feels like December weather here!! First sunrise service at church. It is usually outside but I don't know if they will do that this year or not. I should bring a blanket to sit on just in case. Those chairs will be cold!:scared1: Then we are making the rounds. First to DH's grandma's and then to my mom's. Oh, and I want to stop at Walmart to pick up my scale and some groceries.

At the gym, hunky trainer dude was looking out the window singing "I'm dreaming of a white Christmas" until I reminded him to change it to Easter. :dance3:

We have no family gathering planned for tomorrow, so . . .

You Peeps have been cracking me up this evening!

Dene', your positive attitude about weight loss always lifts my spirits!!! Loving the Jay comments!

By the way, you have as much snow on the ground in that picture of your house in Texas as we have here in mid-Michigan :rolleyes1

Mind you, we don't get anything like they get in the Upper Peninsula, but it has been horribly cold and windy the last few days.

Update on my Grandma: she was doing a bit better today. I will spare you the medical details. I think having so much family in to visit really perks her up.

Good to hear!

Ohhhhhh, looks like I got the 11111 post! Wonder who'll get 12321 and 12345... (yeah, I know, I'm a geek, but I always point out weird numerical dates and stuff like that to my students... like when it was 1:23 on 4/5/6).

Hi everyone! Trying to be better at quoting so this is as far as I got for now. 2 pages left.

welcome beka!!! :welcome: glad to have you.

i have a friend who had gastric bypass about 3 years ago. she's lost like 180 pounds. IMO she should've stopped at 130 - she looked good then. she's too skinny now! anyway, she's always having problems with her digestive system, especially with going to the bathroom. she also gets kidney stones a lot and has had some gall bladder problems. honestly, though, she doesn't eat what she should be eating. we went to mcdonald's not too long ago to get something quick to tide us over until dinner. i got a grilled chicken wrap and she got a super size big mac value meal with an apple pie. i was thinking, "huh????? you're not even going to eat half of that b/c you're stomach can't physically hold it all, so why did you order that????" i'm glad your surgery has worked out for you so well. my boss also had it done and she's doing really well, too, but she changed the way she eats. anyway, have you heard of any kidney stone and/or gall bladder problems in relation to the gastic bypass surgery?

My cousin is the same way! She had the surgery a few years ago and lost lots of weight (duh), looked great, etc. BUT she didn't change her eating habits. She never drinks water, and really doesn't eat a wide variety of foods. I'm no angel when it comes to food, but I do know that there are better options at a restaurant than chicken fingers and french fries. She last came down in November and she had gained a little back already. The only good thing is she has started working out a lot which is helping to counteract the not so great eating. She has always been a big time closet eater (and still is I think). But she pays for it. If she eats too much, she is in the bathroom forever.

I am probably overestimating on that salad. If you look it up on calorie king, it says without crackers and toast. Well, it comes with neither and I eat neither, but it does come with quesadillas, which I either have them leave off or give to DH, so I'm not sure if they're included or not in the total on calorie king. They probably are, but I have no idea how much they are so I just split the total amount in half! I ask them to put half the salad in a to go container when I order, so I know I'm only eating half. It's my fave salad there! It has grilled chicken, black beans, corn, tortilla strips, & a little cheese with citrus balsamic vinagerette. I'm also bad at judging measurements, so I try to overestimate on the dressing amount too. (It's separate on calorie king.)

That is one of my mom's favorite salad ever! I usually steal a quesadilla though. My fave is the buffalo chicken salad which I have not had in forever!

I am doing WW too. I really like the Morningstar chicken. Have you tried the Boca corn dogs? They are so good!

Hmmm....never noticed them. I have had the Morningstar Farms corn dogs. :cloud9: I seriously could eat the whole box. Sooo delicious. Oh and Melinda - I get mine at Publix (the large grocery chain in FL), but I'm sure any health food store sells them too.

That's great, Shannon! I read in a magazine at the doctor's office this week that keeping a food journal is one of the best ways to help you lose weight. Personal accountability! Bravo!

Thanks! I have been keeping track in my WW journal of what I eat and it definitely helps. Sometimes I've eaten less than I thought! But I think posting it here as well will help me even more.

LOVE THAT MOVIE! In college, my girlfriends and I would watch it just about every weekend. We'd always have to pick a character and sometimes we would make a drinking game out of it :rolleyes1

But we really did love the movie. Pudge was my favorite too! Fat, my butt, I'd love to be her size right now. Note to self - find SHAG and watch it asap.

So what's everyone's plans for Christmas tomorrow??? :santa: (oops! I mean EASTER!! ) A local radio station played a few Xmas songs today..nice!

Nothing too huge. Same as every year for us. Church bright and early, then I will come, and I (I mean the Easter Bunny) will hide the eggs. Cousin is coming over and my DSIL and the kiddos are coming over for lunch which is really going to be our big Easter dinner. DB has to work (was recently promoted to Lieutenant so he's back on the road for awhile).

So even though, I feel like I've been the same weight for a few weeks now, yo-yo-ing up and down a pound or so, I did some shopping today. And some nice things happened. I was probably bordering a size 16/18 depending on the style, and an XL which in long sleeves were usually a little snug in the upper arms. Well I tried on a blousey tank (with side zipper) for my cruise and the XL was huge on me! Tried on the Large and it fit perfect! Then I tried a pair of Tommy Hilfiger denim bermudas on in 16s and they fit perfect too! And I wore a pair of shorts today that I specifically remember getting the same time last year, and while they are still wearable, they are definitely looser, like in the crotch and butt area. And I don't have to suck in to button them. Yay!

Speaking of my cruise, I would love any advice or tips from experienced cruisers as this is my very first! I'm very paranoid about the proper clothing on the ship, especially for the dinners. Their descriptions of "casual", "informal", and "formal" are a little vague in my opinion. I think I have decent stuff, but not so sure and I'm really not too jazzed about buying more clothes that I probably won't ever wear again.

Congratulations on your successful clothing day!:cheer2: I can't wait to be able to "go shopping" in my own closet. I have some shirts and jeans that I have been saving in various sizes.

Congrats on the noticeable weight loss!! There isn't anything better then putting on your "skinny" clothes and having them fit again!! :wizard:

DF just brought some sugar cookies and easter chocolate home from his parents. Eek!! I didn't have any in the house...until now. So I had two small cookies. I will try to pawn the rest of to family tomorrow. But it sure is calling my name...maybe just one more cookie?? I haven't had any Easter candy in probably a month. Just York Pepp. Patties and those are virtually fat free. So yeah, maybe one more cookie. :rolleyes1

:rotfl: The whole top shelf of my closest is my "skinny jeans collection." All my weight is in the back of my a** and thighs so shirts are never a problem. I have 3 pairs of my favorite capris just waiting for me to go down another size or two. :hourglass

I got 2 new tops and one capris today at Walmart. Same size that's why I went to WAlmart. When the size goes down, my budget will go up. I always tell myself I cant spend $$ since I'll be thinner soon.

Spongie and I are BLONDE today after playing beauty shop today.

Yes, I think I have jeans from size (20 which is where I am now :sad2: ) all the way down to a 14 in Jr. (which is the smallest I have ever been). I am looking forward to shopping on the other side of the store and not just in the plus section. I have to dress up for work and it is hard for me to find cute things sometimes.

Today I did the Easter party thing for the neighborhood our church adopted. That was a lot of fun and very hectic.

We were supposed to have lunch here tomorrow with my parents and DH's mom, but DD started with the stomach virus around 2 and then oldest DS started around 7 tonight. Youngest DS had just the bottom end problem yesterday and today, but i did not think much of it until the other 2 got sick. So I will proabbaly be home for e Easter service tomorrow. Hope that DH and I do not gt it. Hope that everyone has a great night and a terrific EASTER SUNDAY. Good night.
