CVS ECB Deals - Sales for Week 1/20/08-1/26/08

Thanks - I am really losing my brain here, I didn't even find it in the ad when I got home. I wouldn't have bought them otherwise (I love them, but they're too expensive).

I'll just call and ask and if they say no, that's fine.

at the bottom of page 7 in the ad.:)

You are right -- Here's what it says on our page 7:
"Buy $15 of Essence of Beauty Bath Products, get $5 extra bucks" (limit 1)
Next to it is an ad: "$4.99 -- All Essence of Beauty Bath (excludes lotion candle & trial sizes)"

So the candles definitely seem to be considered beauty bath products, just not at the $4.99 sale price, but should be covered under the Buy $15, get $5ECB promo.:wizard:

Hi everyone!:wave2:
I am new to the CVS thread and to the whole CVS lifestyle!:rotfl:

My sister, "smiller" keeps up with this thread and she took me tonight for the first time. It was very educational and actually, quite FUN!:cheer2:

We did all the math at home :teacher: and came prepared with our coupons. Of course they were out of the Soy Joy bars, :sad2: so, I bought the Pepsi and the Speed Stick and toothbrushes. I am well on my way to being a proper CVS shopper (with your help of course). :grouphug: I hope I can stick with it! Yay!

I know, too many smilies... smiller always says I use too many smilies. I'm just on a CVS high. :thumbsup2

Hi hmillerbarilla! You're going to be very good at CVS. I typed out a whole sheet of instructions for you and left some coupons at DMom's house for your Soy Joy run on Tuesday. Good luck! :thumbsup2

I'm off to my closest CVS this A.M. for two transactions each on both of my cards. Good thing I have my suitcase with me as I'm not sure how to commute home on the el train with 40 rolls of toilet paper! :rotfl2:

Welcome to the CVS world! I will warn you - it is addictive! You will end up with so much free stuff you won't know what to do with it all! You will have drawers full of free toothpaste, toothbrushes and enough deodorant to make a whole Army batallion smell good :rotfl: Oh and be careful if you are on a diet because the candy deals will derail your weight loss real quick :lmao: Seriously, it is fun and can really help you save a ton of money!

Anyway, welcome again and I hope to see you around posting all your great CVS transactions :)

Anyone know if there are any more $2 off $10 CVS brand printables around? I'm planning DH's purchases and could use one of those ;)

thank you

Yes, you do have a certain OOP cost to start CVSing.

If I may recommend a way to begin this month...

Buy 20 Soy Joy bars = $10
Use $4/$20, $3/$15, and $2/$10 printables found on this thread
Use two $1 off 4 bars printable coupons on soyjoy.com
Pay $9 + tax OOP
Receive $20.00 ECB Soy Joy

Buy 4 Mennen deodorants = $15.96
Buy 2 CVS toothbrushes "full circle" = $5.98
Use $4/$20, $3/$15, and $2/$10 printables found on this thread
Use $20.00 ECB
Pay $1.94 + tax OOP
Receive $15.96 ECB Mennen and $5.98 ECB Toothbrushes

Buy $20 worth of Pepsi products = $20.00
Buy 1 Mennen deodorant = $3.99
Buy at least $0.97 worth of something (maybe your Pepsi total was over $20.97 if you bought chips, etc. so you'd be good)
Use $4/$20, $3/$15, and $2/$10 printables found on this thread
Use $15.96 ECP
Pay $0.00 OOP (or just a few pennies, depending how much over $0.97 you were)
Receive $10.00 ECB Pepsi, $3.99 Mennen

You've spent just over $10.94 OOP and you have $13.99 in ECBs.
But, you also have 20 Soy Joy bars, 5 sticks Mennen deodorant, 2 toothbrushes, 6 12pks of Pepsi, and maybe a 2 Liter, too!

That's how I think through it - use the coupons available right now to your advantage to get your initial OOP cost low, and let the ECBs increase and increase! :thumbsup2

so maybe someone can see if i get this right...
I can go to CVS today and buy..
8 bags of Green m&Ms
8 Mennan deoderant
2 toothbshes (cvs brand)
My total will be 31.36(for Mennan)
m&ms total will be 14.80
toothbrushes total 5.98

52.12 then I use a 10.00 off 50.00 coupon so i will pay 42.12 for my items then I will get a print out for 52.00 give or take a few cents/??:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :teacher:

The limit on the Mennen is 5 per card/household, so only $19.95 back in ECBs if you buy more than 5.

Make sure to buy the CVS Full Circle Toothbrush with Tongue Scraper as that's the only one that will give you the ECBs. Up to $5.98 for two of them.

You can buy up to 10 bags of M&Ms, that total would be $17.45 as they are BOGO right now and then you can get up to $15.00 bac in ECBs as you get $3 for every 2 bags you buy, up to 5 deals.

Try out different combinations and usage of the printable coupons from the CVS website. I'm able to stack them at my store (meaning, use $4/$20, $3/$15 AND $2/$10 in the same transaction) but it is different in different places.

You'll catch on yet! :teacher:

Oh, and I forgot to mention - the cashier at the CVS actually HID BEHIND THE COUNTER when she saw me coming!!! :rotfl: :rotfl2: :lmao:

It was VERY funny... her coworkers were giving her a hard time and that she was being so obvious, etc. I guess they know me there, now! :rolleyes1

I promised them I was very organized and I had everything in the right order. All my transactions did go off without a hitch, so that was good! :thumbsup2

I just want to point something out that you guys may run into.

At my CVS's (3 I frequent) they will not allow more than 1 CVS "$4/20" 3/15 coupons in 1 transaction. I can see how people can argue it, but this is not the intention of the coupons- the intention is to spend 20 and save 4, not save 4, then 3, then 2.

If you look at your coupons that were posted above, print 2 of them out....read the coupon- it says- "limit one coupon per customer"...technically you can print 500 of them...is it RIGHT for you to use them all? No, its right for you to use the one that you were allowed..

We have a lot of new people on the thread (myself returning from a CVS hiatus) who are banking on stacking these printable coupons. I do not think we should be telling them that this is the proper way to CVS...yes, it's lovely when it works, and if I could I just might ;) but if they are going into their CVS expecting to duplicate someone else's purchases, and they can't stack...they are going to have an entirely messed up transaction...and possibly paying way too much out of pocket.

My suggestion to you that are new, is to go to your CVS, ask to speak to the manager, and ASK...they are going to get called up to override the sytem if they do allow it. If they do not allow it, leave the store, come back and figure out a new transaction plan...you don't "need" to stack these cvs coupons to "CVS"...

oh- as a side note, I do not mean this post in a negative way in any sense of the form! I am just pointing out that maybe we should not be relying on stacking...or at least pointing out to the new people that there mileage may vary...

Brandy

Anyone wanna double check this for me before I go tomorrow?

Transaction 1
Speed Stick x 4 17.96

- 3.00 cvs coup

total 14.96
ECB 13.99

OOP .97
ECB Earned 17.96

Transaction 1
M&M B1G1- x 3 sets 10.47
Gillete Fusion 9.99
Filler 1.52
total 21.97

CVS - 4
- 6.00 Walgreens M&M Coupons buy 2 save $2 (my cvs allows walgreens q's)

total 11.97
11.97 ecb
OOP 0.00

ECB earned $15.00

So I would have started with 13.99 in ECB's, purchased $39.93 in product, for an out of pocket cost of $0.97, and earned a net $15.00 in ECB's

Still working on the rest....but thats it for now...
